CGS Childrenss Ministries Office complies with the policies set by

CGS Children’s Ministries Office complies with the policies set
by the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston regarding health and
safety issues. We also follow the recommendations of the Texas Department of Protective
and Regulatory Services and the Texas Department of State Health Services.
SICK CHILDREN -A child (or siblings) SHOULD NOT enter the school building when any of
the following exist OR are present within the 24 hour period prior to the school day:
1. Fever (armpit temperature 99.4 degrees, oral temperature of 100.4 degrees; rectal
temperature 101.4 degrees)
2. Vomiting and/or diarrhea
3. Common Cold - heavy nasal discharge/constant cough.
4. Croup
5. Any unexplained rash
6. Lice **
7. Sore throat - Strep throat **
8. Any symptom of the usual childhood diseases: Mumps, Chicken Pox, etc.**
9. Any skin infection **
10. Conjunctivitis, Pink eye or other eye infections **
Your child will be sent home if he/she appears to have symptoms of illness during
the day, no exceptions. This is for the child's well being and benefit as well as for the
rest of his/her class and catechists.
Parents MUST notify the Director immediately if the child has contracted any of the
** communicable infections (items 6, 7, 8, 9, 10) listed above.
A well-child statement from your doctor will be required BEFORE the child returns
to class.
La Oficina de CGS- Ministerios para Niños cumple y sigue con
las políticas establecidas por la Arquidiócesis de Galveston-Houston sobre temas de salud y
seguridad. También seguimos las recomendaciones del Departamento de Protección y
Regulación de Texas y el Departamento de Servicios de Salud del Estado de Texas.
NIÑOS ENFERMOS -Un niño (o hermanos) no deberían entrar en el edificio de la escuela
cuando existe cualquiera de las siguientes o aun están presentes dentro del período de 24
horas antes del día de la escuela:
1. Fiebre (temperatura bajo la axila 99.4 grados, temperatura oral de 100.4 grados;
temperatura rectal de 101.4 grados)
2. Vómitos y / o diarrea
3. Resfriado Común - descarga nasal verde y/o pesada tos y/o constante.
4. Gripa
5. Cualquier erupción inexplicable en la piel o otra parte del cuerpo
6. Piojos **
7. Dolor de garganta - La faringitis estreptocócica **
8. Cualquier síntoma de las enfermedades infantiles habituales:. Paperas, varicela, etc **
9. Cualquier infección de la piel **
10. La conjuntivitis (pink eye) u otras infecciones de los ojos **
Su hijo será enviado a casa si él / ella parece tener síntomas de enfermedad durante el
día, sin excepciones. Esto es para el bienestar del niño y beneficio, así como para el
resto de su clase y catequistas.
Los padres deben notificar al Director de inmediato si el niño ha contraído alguna de las
infecciones transmisibles ** (artículos 6, 7, 8, 9, 10) mencionadas anteriormente.
ANTES de que el niño regrese a clase, se requerirá una declaración firmada por el
doctor o asignado de la oficina medica indicando que el niño ya está sano.
