THE ASCENSION OF THE LORD
In some parts of the United States, people gather for the Seventh
Sunday of Easter to celebrate the Ascension of the Lord with the
desire to gather the Church to celebrate its central feasts fully and
with the Eucharist. The Ascension is a key moment for grasping what
life in Christ is all about. It is not about a departure, but rather a plan
for presence. We who are nourished by the Lord’s body and blood in
the Eucharist are transformed to be his abiding presence in the
world. That is a truth so worth celebrating that we can adjust our
calendar in order that the fullest possible gathering of the Church can

LA ASCENSIÓN DEL SEÑOR
En algunas partes de los Estados Unidos, la gente se reúne el
séptimo Domingo de Pascua a celebrar la Ascensión del Señor con
el deseo de reunir a la iglesia para celebrar con la Eucaristía. La
Ascensión es el momento clave para retener el significado de la vida
en Cristo. No es una partida, sino más bien un plan de presencia.
Que nos alimentamos con el cuerpo y la sangre en la Eucaristía del
Señor nos transformamos para ser su presencia perdurable en el
mundo. Esta es una verdad tan valiosa de celebrar podemos ajustar
nuestro calendario a fin de que se logre el máximo possible reunion

During the month of May, we are having the offering of flowers to
Our Lady, Monday through Friday, in the church, during the 5:00 p.m.
recitation of the Holy Rosary. A wonderful devotion of offering
flowers to Our Blessed Virgin Mary. May is a very good month to
begin praying the rosary daily. Remember, Devotion to Mary
always leads to Jesus Christ!
Durante el mes de mayo, tendremos el ofrecimiento de flores a la
Virgen María de lunes a viernes, en la iglesia, durante el rezo del
Santo Rosario a las 5:00 pm. Linda devoción del ofrecimiento de
flores a la Santísima Virgen María. Mayo buen mes muy bueno
para empezar a rezar el Rosario todos los días. ¡Recuerden, la
devoción a María siempre conduce a Jesucristo!
MOTHER’S DAY MASSES
Special Mother’s Day envelopes will be found at the church
entrance. Fill in the name of your mother, living or deceased
and return the envelopes in the collection basket or to the
rectory. Don’t forget to enroll others besides your mother,
such as Grandmothers, Godmothers, etc.
