School Mass: Fr iday, September 4th at 8:30AM, Votive
Mass of the Holy Spirit, for the opening of the academic
year.
Note to those who attend 8:30 AM weekday Mass. We
normally have school Masses on Fridays at the 8:30AM
Mass during the school year. However, in order to more
fully experience the saints and other prominent liturgical
feast days, about once a month, we will have Mass on
another day of the week instead of on Friday. This is so our
students are formed by the rhythm of saints’ days and
seasonal days of the Church’s calendar. School Masses will
be announced in this weekly bulletin. Parishioners are
invited to attend the school Mass and join with our school
children in the worship of God in the Holy Sacrifice of the
Mass.
There is a great need for more people to join in our
scheduled hours for prayer before the Blessed Sacrament in
our chapel during times of exposition of the Blessed
Sacrament. We need both regular adorers and substitutes.
Please consider how you could make this a part of your
weekly schedule. Many graces flow from this time of
prayer before our Eucharistic Lord.
Father Lee Roos
Pope’s Intention for September:

employment may increase for all young people.

Learning More About the
Catholic Church
The Catholic church offers adults who are unbaptized, or
who have been members of other Christian denominations,
or baptized and have never been formed in the Christian
life, a process of formation in the Catholic faith. This
process is called the RCIA, or Rite of Christian Initiation of
Adults. This process is a gradual one where participants
will learn from members of the community and have their
questions about the Catholic faith answered. This process
begins the week of September 13th, but registration is
occurring now.
For more information, check the website at
www.allsaintsreligiouseducation.org or contact Samantha
Welsh or Marylee Grabowski in the Religious Education
Office at 703-393-2142.
