Welcome to Summer Park’s Newsletter! As the
Resource Coordinator, I am very excited to bring you
updates on programs that are offered and events
that are UPCOMING:

Bienvenido al Boletín de Novedades Summer Park! Como
coordinadora de Recursos, estoy muy emocionada de
traer cambios en los programas que se ofrecen y los

FUN FOR SUMMER!!!!!!

Girl Scouts! Kinder-6th grade, would you like to
join Girl Scouts this summer? Classes are every
Monday from 1:30pm-2:30pm in the Resource
Center.

Care Fresno is providing Summer Programming
for children Kinder-6th grade. Tuesdays-Thursdays.
Register in the Resource Center.

EnglishWant to have your child
Summer Reading Club!
reading more this Summer and earn great prizes?
Have them register for the Book Club! Come to the
Resource Center to register.

Friday Night Live Chapter at Summer Park! Are

el Centro de Recursos.
• Lectura de Verano del Club! ¿Quieres tener a su hijo a leer más este verano y ganar grandes premios? Pídales
que se inscriben en el Club del Libro! Ven al Centro de Recursos para registrarse.

Staying Cool and Safe
Go to a cool place:
Consider going to a public place that will be cool,
like a Community Center. Nearest one is at the
Mosqueda Center.

The center is located at 4670 E. Butler
(East of Maple Avenue) and just Southeast of the Fresno County
Fairgrounds.

Stay in the shade: Direct sunlight can speed up the effect the
heat has on your body.
Do outdoor activities in the morning or evening hours, avoid
being in the afternoon heat.
Stay hydrated: Keep drinking
plenty of water, even if you're not thirsty.
Limit physical activity: Take breaks during the day. Take a
break if you are: Feeling dizzy. Your heart is pounding.
Breathing becomes difficult. If you are outside, don't forget to
wear a hat or carry an umbrella to protect your head and neck.

Children get a chance to learn about how
to prepare for emergencies, enhance
coping skills, practice what they have
learned and share their knowledge with
friends and family.
Join us July 18th at 12:00pm in the
Resource Center.
