interested in partnering with Habitat to build and purchase a home.

All adults in the household must be legal residents of
the United States**
Must presently live in inadequate, unsafe housing
Be able to save at least $1,500 for down payment, first
month’s mortgage payment and first year’s homeowner
insurance
Be able to afford between $550 and $650 per month for
monthly house payment
Can contribute, with family and friends, 500 hours to the
building of your home and the homes of other Habitat
families
Must have lived in the Portland metropolitan area for at
least the last 12 months
Must meet family income as follows:
$1,358-$2,263/month for family of 2
$1,695-$2,830/month for family of 4
$1.970-$3,283/month for family of 6
$2,242-$3,733/month for family of 8
** Documentation to prove legal U.S. residency includes
the following and must be brought to the meeting.
• A U.S. Passport OR
• An Oregon Driver’s License/I.D. card AND your U.S.
Birth Certificate OR
• An Oregon Driver’s License/I.D. card AND your proof of
Permanent U.S. Residency
