Cholla High Magnet School is proud to offer two unique magnet themes: the International
Baccalaureate Prep and Diploma Programmes and Law Related
Studies. Magnet schools are designed to provide options to students by
providing unique instructional and pedagogical opportunities.
Register for 2016-2017 School Year
Students now is the time to begin thinking about your courses for next
year. Are you interested in joining the International Baccalaureate Programme? Are you interested in joining JROTC? If you are interested in
these programs or any others offered at Cholla please look for more information coming
soon.
Arizona Supreme Court Day at the University of Arizona
The University of Arizona Latino Law Students Association hosted Cholla students
on November 10, 2015. The students were given behind the scenes tours of the U of A
Law School and they were able to speak one on one to other U of A Law Students, and Attorneys in various fields. In addition, Cholla students met with two Arizona Supreme Court
Justices! Justice Timmer and Justice Pelander discussed their careers, motivations
and the law.

Cholla IB students volunteered at the 10th Annual Family Festival with the Tucson Parks and
Recreation Department. The students assisted with running Carnival Games at the event.
This group of students were described as “well behaved and a very respectful mix of young
ladies and gentlemen who the staff were most impressed with”. A special thank you to Mr.
Julian Martinez, for organizing the event and working with our students on Leadership Skills
and Community Service! Way to go Chargers!

Cholla High Magnet School se enorgullece en ofrecer dos temas magnet únicos: Los Programa de Preparatoria de Bachillerato Internacional y Diploma y de Estudios Relacionados a la Ley. Las escuelas magnet están diseñadas para
proporcionar opciones a los estudiantes al ofrecer oportunidades instructivas y pedagógicas únicas.

Estudiantes, ahora es el momento de comenzar a pensar acerca de los
cursos para el año próximo. ¿Está interesado en unirse al Programa de

Día de la Corte Suprema de Arizona en la Universidad de Arizona
La Asociación de Estudiantes de Leyes Latinos de la Universidad de Arizona fue anfitrión de
los estudiantes de Cholla el 10 de noviembre de 2015. Los estudiantes fueron objeto de un
recorrido privado de la Facultad de Derecho de la U of A y ellos pudieron hablar de persona
a persona con otros estudiantes de Leyes de la universidad, y Abogados en varios campos.
Además, los estudiantes se reunieron con dos magistrados de la Corte Suprema¡ El Juez
Timmer y el Juez Pelander discutieron sus carreras, motivaciones y la Ley .

el Festival Familiar Anual

Los estudiantes de IB de Cholla s prestaron como voluntarios en el 10mo Festival Familiar
Anual con el Departamento de Parques y Recreación de Tucson. Los estudiantes ayudaron
con los Juegos de Feria en el evento. Se describió a este grupo de estudiantes como “de buen
comportamiento y una mezcla de jovencitas y jóvenes muy respetuosos con quienes el personal estuvo muy impresionado”. Agradecemos especialmente al Sr. Julián Martínez por la organización del evento y por trabajar con nuestros estudiantes sobre las Habilidades de Liderazgo y Servicio a la Comunidad. ¡Así se hace Chargers!
