While we all want to help those less fortunate than ourselves, we need to take the proper channels. That is why we have the St. Vincent de Paul Society. If someone stops you, do not be rude, but kindly refer them to SVDP. We have informational cards available in the Sacristy to give them so professional assistance can be provided. If the situation turns violent, then warn that a call to 911 will be made. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We are in need of Lectors, Commentators, and Extraordinary Ministers of Communion for the Ash Wednesday Masses. Manny Dear St Francis Family, Two days past, the 51st International Eucharistic Congress was opened here in the Philippines which is held in Cebu City, hometown of Fr Albert and will end on the 31st of this month with the theme from Col 1:27, "Christ in you, our hope of glory." The congress focuses on the fullness of the Eucharist in our Catholic faith and its mission in the life of the Church. Today's 2nd Reading brings us to reflect that each and everyone of us is a significant member of the Mystical body of Christ (1 Cor. 12:12-30) and we share Christ's Mission through His Church where we belong as a member. In this Jubilee Year of Mercy, may we become all aware that being Christians we are all Ambassadors of Christ in this generation to show God's love and mercy to all especially those who have been alienated from the Catholic faith for we live in one faith as a Church existing not only as a club of saints but a hospital of sinners. May God help us like St Francis to become always His instruments of God's love and Mercy.
