logistiek centrum in België
IRFAK is bijzonder trots u te kunnen mededelen dat wij een nieuw logistiek centrum in België in gebruik hebben genomen nabij de haven van
Antwerpen. Dit heuglijke feit gaan we vieren met een bijzondere bedrijfspresentatie bij Verbeke Foundation te Kemzeke.
Door de groeiende vraag naar onze voedingsmiddelen vanuit landen met een voedseltekort en de toenemende stroom vetdonaties in Europa is de productie en omzet van ons bedrijf sinds 2008 met 200 procent
gestegen. Was IRFAK in beginsel gericht op acute hulp bij hongersnood, inmiddels leveren wij structureel
aan een aantal landen die blijvend met voedseltekorten kampen. Vanuit Antwerpen zal IRFAK de producten
afkomstig uit onze fabrieken in België, Nederland, Luxemburg, Duitsland, Oostenrijk, Zwitserland en Polen
wereldwijd per schip verzenden.
Antwerpen heeft een uitstekende naam als overslaghaven. De haven ligt zeer gunstig binnen het internationale goederentransportnetwerk, en is voor containervervoer over de weg vanuit onze productielanden
optimaal bereikbaar.
In onze keuze voor dit nieuwe logistieke centrum speelde uiteraard mee dat Antwerpen slechts 144 kilometer
(reistijd: 1 uur en 30 minuten!) verwijderd is van onze hoofdvestiging in Venlo (Nederland). De Rotterdamse
havens liggen op circa 190 kilometer afstand en zijn slechts te bereiken zijn via een wegennet met meerdere
filegevoelige knelpunten. Daar komt bij dat er een akkoord is bereikt over een verruiming van de vaargeul in
het Schelde-estuarium, zodat schepen met een diepgang tot 13,10 meter onafhankelijk van het getij van en
naar de haven van Antwerpen kunnen varen. De transportcapaciteit vanuit de Antwerpse haven wordt dus
alleen maar groter.

IRFAK opens new logistics Centre in Belgium
IRFAK is extremely proud to announce the opening of its new logistics centre near the Port of Antwerp in Belgium. We will celebrate this
memorable fact with a special presentation at the Verbeke Foundation in
Kemzeke.
As a result of the increasing demand for our food products by countries dealing with food shortage and the
growing number of body fat donations in Europe, our company’s production and sales figures have risen by
200 percent since 2008. Starting off as a company helping countries with acute food shortage, IRFAK has
developed into a company offering structural food aid to a number of regions affected by chronic food shortage. From the Port of Antwerp IRFAK will carry out worldwide shipments of food, supplied by our factories in
Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Poland.
Antwerp has an excellent reputation as a container port. The harbour is ideally situated within the infrastructure of international freight transport and is optimally accessible for container road transport from our producing countries.
One of the decisive factors in our choice for Antwerp is its location at only 144 kilometres (travelling time only
an hour and a half!) from our head office in Venlo (the Netherlands), as opposed to the Port of Rotterdam with
a distance of approximately 190 kilometres via over-busy and often clogged roads. Another reason is the
agreement that has been reached on the deepening of the navigation channel in the Scheldt Estuary, allowing
ships with a draught of 13,10 meters to enter and leave the port independent of the tide. This will enable an
even further expansion of the port’s transport capacity.

IRFAK abre centro logístico en Bélgica
Con mucho orgullo IRFAK les comunica que hemos tomado en uso un
nuevo centro logístico en las proximidades del puerto de Antwerpen.
Este acontecimiento memorable lo vamos a celebrar con una presentación especial de la empresa en la Fundación Verbeke en Kemzeke.
Dada a la creciente demanda de alimentos nutritivos desde paises con escasa alimenticia, asi como un incremento de las donaciones de grasas en Europa, la producción y el volumen de ventas de nuestra compañia
ha crecido un 200 por ciento desde el año 2008. En un principio IRFAK se dirigía a la ayuda inmediata para
combatir el hambre, entretanto suministramos estructuralmente a diversos paises con déficits de alimentos
constantes. Desde Antwerpen IRFAK suministrará mundialmente los productos de nuestras fábricas en Bélgica, Holanda, Luxemburgo, Alemania, Austria, Suiza y Polonia.
Antwerpen tiene una reputación estupenda como puerto de transbordo. El puerto mantiene un puesto muy
favorable dentro de la red internacional de transporte de mercancías, y es óptimamente accesible para el
transporte de contenedores desde nuestros países de producción.
En nuestra elección de este nuevo centro logístico hemos tenido naturalmente en cuenta que Antwerpen
queda a tan solo 144 kilómetros ( duración de viaje 1 hora y 30 minutos) de nuestra sede principal en Venlo (
Holanda). Los puertos de Rotterdam están a unos 190 kilómetros y son solamente accesibles por una red de
carreteras muy propensa al embotellamineto. Además recientemente se ha llegado a un acuerdo para ahondar el canal de navegación en el estuario del Schelde, por lo cual barcos con una profundidad de hasta 13,10
metros, independientemente de la marea podrán abordar el puerto de Antwerpen. La capacidad del puerto
de Antwerpen engrandecerá de esta manera.
