Guerra Espiritual
While writing the epistle of Romans, the apostle Paul was more than
likely chained to a Roman soldier (6:20). He must have often thought
about the parallels between the soldier to whom he was chained and
the heavenly Warrior to whom his life was bound. The examination of
the soldier’s armor in Ephesians chapter 6 provides insight into the
preparation of the soldier of Christ for the battle that is being waged
against the “devil’s schemes.”

arm worked salvation for Him, and His own righteousness sustained
Him. He put on righteousness as His breastplate…” (Isaiah 59:16-17).
Feet fitted with the readiness of the Gospel (v. 15). “How beautiful on
the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who
proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who
say to Zion, ‘Your God reigns!’” (Isaiah 52:7).
Shield of Faith (v. 16). “We wait in hope for the LORD; He is our help
and our shield” (Psalm 33:20).
Helmet of Salvation (v. 17). “He put on righteousness as His
breastplate, and the helmet of salvation on His head; He put on the
garments of vengeance and wrapped Himself in zeal as in a cloak”
(Isaiah 59:17).
Sword of the Spirit (v. 17). “For the word of God is living and active.
Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing
soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes
of the heart” (Hebrews 4:12).
Ceñida vuestra cintura con la verdad (v. 14). “será (la verdad)
cinto de Sus caderas, y la fidelidad ceñirá Su cintura” (Isaías 11:5).
La coraza de justicia (v. 14). “Vio que no había nadie y se maravilló
que no hubiera quien se interpusiese; y lo salvó Su brazo y lo afirmó
Su misma justicia. Pues de justicia se vistió como de una
coraza” (Isaías 59:16-17).
Calzados los pies con el celo por anunciar el evangelio de la paz (v.
15). “Cuán hermosos son sobre los montes los pies del que trae
alegres nuevas, del que anuncia la paz, del que trae nuevas del bien,
del que publica salvación, del que dice a Sión: ‘¡Tu Dios
reina!’” (Isaías 52:7).
El escudo de la fe (v. 16). “Nuestra alma espera a Jehová; nuestra
ayuda y nuestro escudo es Él” (Salmo 33:20).
El yelmo de la salvación (v. 17). “Pues de justicia se vistió como de
una coraza, con yelmo de salvación en Su cabeza; tomó ropas de
venganza por vestidura y se cubrió de celo como con un
manto” (Isaías 59:17).
La espada del Espíritu (v. 17). “La palabra de Dios es viva, eficaz y
más cortante que toda espada de dos filos: penetra hasta partir el
alma y el espíritu, las coyunturas y los tuétanos, y discierne los
pensamientos y las intenciones del corazón” (Hebreos 4:12).
As David said to Goliath, “All those gathered here will know that it is
not by sword or spear that the LORD saves; for the battle is the
Lord’s, and He will give all of you into our hands” (1 Samuel 17:47).
Final Thought - If you do not know Christ, you are unarmed to fight
the spiritual battle. Put on His armor, and “STAND FIRM” in Him.

Jehová no salva con espada ni con lanza, porque de Jehová es la
batalla y Él os entregará en nuestras manos” (1 Samuel 17:47).
Pensamiento Final - Si tu no conoces a Cristo, estás indefenso. Ponte
Su armadura, y “ESTA FIRME” en Él.
