HONORS SPANISH 3 summer 2016

Students entering HONORS SPANISH 3 in the fall of 2016 will read selections from
Leyendas del mundo hispano (Third edition).
Students will read the following selections (including the "Contexto cultural") and answer the questions
indicated for each reading.
Submit all written exercises (in complete sentences) typed and double-spaced.
Due date: Monday, September 12, 2016 Answer the questions in your own words, and do the work on your own. Do not consult another person or
any electronic translator service, online or computer-based. If you use a dictionary, please indicate which
one you used. If you quote from the text, be sure to quote sparingly, quoting just several words or a short
phrase to illustrate your point. Be sure to use quotation marks and cite the page number in parentheses
directly after the quotation.
Capítulo preliminar: Leyendas de tu mundo (p. 1-5). Completa la actividad P-1.
Capítulo 1: El mito de la creación Inca (p. 9-14). Completa las actividades 1-1; 1-3; 1-6.
Capítulo 4: Los volcanes (p. 39-40; 43-45). Escribe un resumen de la leyenda de aproximadamente
media (1/2) página a doble espacio.
Capitulo 6: El dorado (p. 59-64). Completa las actividades 6-3; 6-5.
It is expected that students’ summer work reflect their individual efforts in accordance
