Our client is a multinational producer of building materials and construction systems. As part of the Group,
the Insulation branch is the fastest growing business of the company.
The company is now looking for a Cost Estimator / Calculator Engineer.
DESCRIPCIÓN DE LA OFERTA:
Reporting to the Central Engineering Director Europe you will be supporting the project manager in
preparing the budget of the project. You will also interract with the project team, the construction team all
the relevant stakeholders.
Your principal responsabilities will include:
- Cost calculations and budgets for projects based on specification documents and other information;
- Providing support during the preparation and submission of tenders and maintaining calculation or budget
files and databases;
- Auditing and determining quantities, working methods and equipment for deployment;
- Requesting and assessing prices from sub-contractors, suppliers and hired services;
- For the purposes of retrospective costing, arranging feedback from project managers about purchased
services and products during and after project execution;
- Determining cost prices in consultation with the project manager (on the basis of, for example, cost

standards) and determining and recording risks;
- Prepare cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the
duration of the project.
- Visiting projects to evaluate working methods and determine anomalies (retrospective costing)
QUE BUSCAMOS:
You have a degree in Engineering specialized in Construction, or Architect and at least 5 years of
experience in cost calculation.
You are able to quickly analyze, compare, and interpret information. You are also able to make sound and
accurate judgments based on this information. Assertiveness and self-confidence in presenting and
supporting one's conclusions are important, as are strong communication and interpersonal skills.
You also need knowledge of computers, including word-processing and spreadsheet packages.
Familiarity with special software ( SAP) or programming skills are also required.
You are flexible, as the position requires around 10% global travelling. You speak fluent English. Any
additional language skills are welcome.
