The Humphreys Corner™ cot bed is designed to be used from birth to approximately 5 years.
The base can be fixed in 3 positions and can be converted to a toddler size bed.

Assembly is easiest with the cot positioned on
its side.

When assembling as a cot only use barrel nut
at each corner of base. ALWAYS USE THE TOP
HOLE IN THE COT BASE.

Attach one cot side (while cot is still on its side)
using four medium bolts.
“NB. There is a line engraved on each cot side.
These should face the inside of the cot (refer to
safety notes).
Insert four barrel nuts into base. Ensure that
the slot in the nut is in line with the bolt. Then
insert two bolts through cot end into base.
Repeat for other end. Do not fully tighten bolts
at this stage.

The lowest base position is the safest, and is
the only one you should use once your baby
can sit unaided.

Turn the cot the correct way up. Attach the
remaining side using four medium bolts. Fully
tighten all of the fittings.
Insert blanking screws into unused holes with
blanking screws provided.

Place the bed on its side and insert the 8 barrel
nuts into the 8 bed base holes.
Attach the head and foot ends with the 8 long
bolts and tighten using the Allen key provided.
Turn the bed the correct way up.

Remove the two sides and carefully put the cot
on it’s side.
Remove both ends. Carefully detach the
bottom panel from both ends. Retain the
bottom panels in safe storage for possible
future use.

Periodically check all fittings to ensure none have come loose. Any loose fittings must be tightened
using the correct tool.

Your cot can be cleaned by wiping with a damp cloth and drying with a soft dry cloth.

Take care when handling or moving the cot. Careless handling can damage wooden furniture.

The lowest base position is the safest and should always be used as soon as baby is old enough
to sit up.

Never leave anything inside the cot that could provide a foothold or present a risk of suffocation or
strangulation.

The thickness of the mattress chosen must not reduce the internal depth (from mattress surface to
top of the side) to less than 500mm with the base in the lowest position or 200mm with the base
in the highest position.

The cot end has an engraved line on the inside indicating this height.
All assembly fittings should always be tightened properly. Care should be taken that no screws are
loose, because the child could trap parts of the body or clothing which would pose a risk of
strangulation.

The mattress to be used with this cot should be no more than 40mm shorter or narrower than the
internal length or width of the cot.

Strong heat sources eg. open, electric or gas fires in the vicinity of the cot may be dangerous if
placed near the cot.
