St. Edward’s Catholic Church
Father Pancras will move from St. Edward’s on
June 5.
Father Nolan Lowry will assume his duties as
the new Pastor for St. Edward’s on June 6.
How can we know God? Jesus revealed to his
disciples the great mystery of our faith - the triune
nature of God and the inseparable union of the
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Jesus' mission is to
reveal the glory of God to us - a Trinity of persons God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - and to unite
us with God in a community of love. The ultimate
end, the purpose for which God created us, is the
entry of God's creatures into the perfect unity of the
blessed Trinity.
The Jews understood God as Creator and Father of
all that he made (Deuteronomy 32:6) and they
understood the nation of Israel as God's firstborn
son (Exodus 4:22). Jesus reveals the Father in an
unheard of sense. He is eternally Father by his
relationship to his only Son, who, reciprocally, is
Son only in relation to his Father (see Matthew
11:27). The Spirit, likewise, is inseparably one with
the Father and the Son.
The mission of Jesus and of the Holy Spirit is the
same. That is why Jesus tells his disciples that the
Spirit will reveal the glory of the Father and the Son
and will speak what is true. Before his Passover,
Jesus revealed the Holy Spirit as the "Paraclete"
and Helper who will be with Jesus' disciples to
teach and guide them "into all the truth" (John
14:17,26; 16:13). In baptism we are called to share
in the life of the Holy Trinity here on earth in faith
and after death in eternal light.

Lectors are needed in St Edward’s parish to proclaim the
Word of God. Typically serve one Sunday each month or
be available as a substitute. Confirmation age or above
are welcome. Mentoring class will be scheduled.

Celebrate Bishop Strickland’s 30th
Anniversary Mass of Thanksgiving on
June 1, 6:00pm, Cathedral of the
Immaculate Conception.
Budget Projection / Loan Payment / New Church
We appeal to each of you, in addition to your
regular contribution, to pledge according to your
means for our new church. A minimum of $25.00
per week for four years will come to $5,200.00 per
earning member. For ome this is too little; for
others it may be too much. Pledge according to
your mens. Parish registration forms are located
on th bulletin tables. Please fill out the last two line
on the registration form for your support of our
monthly budgetand also for our new church. I
sincerely thank each one of you who have already
pledged to balance the budget as well as for raising
funds for our new church.
As per our annual budget projection + the loan
payment of $3,400 every month, our budget for the
week comes to $5,900.00

Pensamiento Espiritual De Nuestro pastor
¿Cómo podemos conocer a Dios? Jesús reveló a
sus discípulos el gran misterio de nuestra fe - la
naturaleza trina de Dios y la unión inseparable del
Padre, del Hijo y del Espíritu Santo. La misión de
Jesús es revelar la gloria de Dios para nosotros una Trinidad de personas - Dios Padre, Hijo y
Espíritu Santo - y para unirnos con Dios en una
comunidad de amor. El fin último, el propósito para
el cual Dios nos ha creado, es la entrada de las
criaturas de Dios en la perfecta unidad de la
Santísima Trinidad. Los Judios entendieron a Dios
como Creador y Padre de todo lo que hizo
(Deuteronomio 32: 6) y ellos entendieron la nación
de Israel como hijo primogénito de Dios (Éxodo
04:22). Jesús revela al Padre en un insólito
sentido. Él es eternamente Padre por su relación
con su Hijo único, que, recíprocamente, es Hijo
sólo en relación con su Padre (Mateo 11:27). El
Espíritu, del mismo modo, es inseparablemente
uno con el Padre y el Hijo. La misión de Jesús y del
Espíritu Santo es el mismo. Por eso Jesús dice a
sus discípulos que el Espíritu revelará la gloria del
Padre y del Hijo y hablará lo que es verdad. Antes
de su Pascua, Jesús reveló el Espíritu Santo como

bautismo, estamos llamados a participar en la vida
