THE RADIOGEOPHYSICAL WARNING SYSTEM is pleased to inform you that you has been added as a
full member of our early warnings platform.
You will periodically receive a text message (SMS) to your contact number, both to confirm the
operability of the system, such as the validity of the contact number. The SMS will read as follows: SI1S. RADIOGEOPHYSICAL WARNING SYSTEM (SA-RGF): This is a RGF simulation alert sent by the
system. Visit us at www.evidenceobs.org
If it detects the presence of a precursor of earthquake, the SMS will indicate: AT-2S. EARTHQUAKE
WARNING: This is not a drill. We warn of the likely occurrence of a major earthquake in the CentralSouth-West of Colombia, in the next minutes or hours. Stay calm and stand at in an open place free
from falling debris. SA-RGF.
When the presence of all the warning signs that predict the occurrence of a volcanic eruption is
recorded, the SMS will say: AV-2S. VOLCANIC ERUPTION ALERT: The Nevado Del Ruiz volcano could
erupt in the next few minutes or hours. It is recommended getting away from terrestrial volcanic risk
zones, as well as flying areas, in case of being approached in an aircraft. SA-RGF.

eep in mind that these protocols apply to the areas monitored by the Radiogeophysical National
Network of Colombia (RANA), which is in the process of installing, operating for now in the city of
Manizales and its coverage area RGF: Central and South-Western.

lso note that the forecast models are permanent subject to contrasting and verification, counting
however with exemplary force for the geographic area that the ORVVE monitors. Such resolution
dating from 1985 to the early radiovolcanic signs, and from 1995 to the early hectometric radioseismological signs.

El SISTEMA DE ALERTA RADIOGEOFÍSICA tiene el agrado de informarle que ha sido agregado como
miembro de número a nuestra plataforma de alertas tempranas.
Usted recibirá periódicamente un mensaje de texto (SMS) en su número de contacto, tanto para
confirmar la operatividad del sistema, como la vigencia de su número de contacto. El SMS dirá lo
siguiente: SI-1S. SISTEMA DE ALERTA RADIOGEOFÍSICA (SA-RGF): Este es un simulacro de alerta
RGF enviado por el sistema. Visítenos en www.evidenceobs.org
Si se detecta la presencia de un precursor de terremoto, el SMS indicará: AT-2S. ALERTA DE
TERREMOTO: Este no es un simulacro. Alertamos sobre la probable ocurrencia de un terremoto de
gran magnitud en la región Centro-Sur-Occidental de Colombia, en los próximos minutos u hora.
Mantenga la calma y ubíquese en un lugar abierto y libre de la caída de escombros. SA-RGF.
Cuando se registre la presencia del conjunto de signos precursores que preludian la ocurrencia de una
erupción volcánica, el SMS dirá: AV-2S. ALERTA DE ERUPCIÓN VOLCÁNICA: El Volcán Nevado del
Ruiz puede hacer erupción en los próximos minutos u horas. Se recomienda alejarse de las zonas de
riesgo volcánico terrestres, así como aéreas, en caso de ser abordada de una aeronave. SA-RGF.

enga presente que estos protocolos aplican para las zonas monitoreadas por la Red Radiogeofísica
Nacional de Colombia (RANA), la que se encuentra en pleno proceso de instalación, operando por lo
pronto en la ciudad de Manizales y en su área de cobertura RGF: Centro y Sur Occidental.
O
bserve también que los modelos de pronóstico se encuentran sujetos a permanente contrastación
y verificación, contando empero con una amplia vigencia modélica para el área geográfica que
monitorea el ORVVE. Tal resolución data del año 1985 para los signos precursores radiovolcánicos, y
del año 1995 para los signos precursores radiosismológicos hectométricos.
