Sunday Reflection
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
Last Sunday, I was installed as
pastor of our parish and it was an
extremely blessed moment in my
life. Special thanks to Deacon Rey
and our liturgy committee, along with all of our
ministers who assisted especially John Bonaduce
and our combined choir. Special thanks for our
reception chair, Martha Barraza assisted by
Christine Hart and Anjhee Orfano for putting
together a wonderful lunch (and even dinner) for
all. Thanks to the many volunteers who helped set
-up, clean-up and serve. We ended about 8PM
that night! You are all amazing! But most
especially thank you to all of the parishioners of
Our Lady of Peace Parish for welcoming me into
your home. In my closing remarks at the end of
mass, I thanked my family – my past parishes that
knew me as “Mike the seminarian” to a “baby”
priest to my blood family who have known me
forever. And also my new family here at Our
Lady of Peace. As part of the mass, I consecrated
myself and our parish to our Blessed Mother
Mary. May she continue to watch over us with
care and may we imitate her discipleship in all we
do as we point others to Christ. Our Lady of
Peace…pray for us.
And now, prayers for our country. In three weeks,
we will be voting here in the US. As we prepare
ourselves to vote, it is important that we
remember that ultimately our goal is to be citizens
of heaven, that we cannot serve both God and
mammon. We have inserted the first of three
flyers this weekend. Please read these as we
recognize that Church teaching is important.
These are the official teachings of the US bishops,
the descendants of the Apostles.
Thank you! Gracias! Salamat Po!

nuestros ministros quienes ayudaron especialmente
John Bonaduce y nuestro coro combinado. Gracias
comida y limpiar. Terminamos aproximadamente a
parroquia a nuestra Santísima Madre María.
Thank you for your support.
You may sign-up for an online gift-giving at

make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven.”
