Sunday Reflection
Brothers and sisters in Christ,
Within the sacraments of the
Church, we have the opportunity to
see a visual sign of God love being
poured out. We have already been
blessed by this grace as this past Saturday 105
candidates received the sacrament of confirmation.
Over the next three weeks, over 160 children will
receive the sacrament of first communion. This is truly
a blessed moment as we continue to see our young
people grow in their faith. Let us continue to pray for
them.
We will also be blessed in June with the Sacrament of
Holy Orders, as our very own parishioner, Deacon
Luis Espinoza, will be ordained a priest for the
Archdiocese of Los Angeles. He will celebrate his first
mass on Sunday, June 5th at 2pm. This will be a
bilingual mass followed by a wonderful reception in
our hall. All are invited to this celebration of our entire
parish.
Next week, on Saturday May 14th, our parish school
will be putting on their School Pageant. This is an
evening fundraiser event in place of Tiger Fest and
begins at 530pm within the courtyard of our school.
There will be great food, games, entertainment a raffle
and more. All are invited to support our school and
their mission of catholic education for our parish
community. Stop in for some fun.
Save the date - Sunday, May 29th at 7:15PM.
Eucharistic Procession on the feast of Corpus Christi
from Our Lady of Peace to St. Genevieve.
Have a blessed week. Our Lady of Peace... pray for us.
Rev. Michael Perucho
parroquial. Vengan a divertirse.
Reserven la fecha-domingo, 29 de mayo a las
7:15PM.
Padre Mike Perucho

Human trafficking claims many
young victims every year, and
often, we see these victims in our
daily lives. It is important to recognize the signs of abuse and to
know how to interact with possible victims. The best way to start
a tough conversation with teens
who may be at risk is simply to talk to them—ask
what’s going on in their lives, and if they are
okay. Signs of abuse include suspicious or inexplicable injuries, avoidance, or reliance on an
older “friend.” For more information please visit
http://www.missingkids.org/1in5.
Conozca las señales del tráfico humano
El tráfico humano reclama cada año a
muchas víctimas jóvenes, y muchas
veces vemos a estas víctimas en nuestra
vida diaria.
