Singing in a mariachi grouo is the most exciting musical experience vou will ever have. This is
something that you do because you love it and are willing to devote time and energy to being the best
mariachi singer you can be. Self-confidence rneans you believe in yourself, that you will be a great mariachi
singer. You must feel comfoftabie and relaxed in front of peopie and on stage. if you feei nervous/
frightened this might not be a good thing for you to do. The way to get over nerves/fright is to practice until
you can sing from memory. Seek out good singing teachers and take a few private lessons. Listen to what
others tell you to do to improve and follow their advice. Listen to famous mariachi singers but do not try to
sound like them. You willfind your own beautifulvoice in time with practice and performances. Audio record
your singing and listen critically. Practice in front of a mirror and smile when you singl Sing to your relatives
and friends for starters. Memorize all songs that you will perform. Always be humble and don't let popularity
make you think you know it all. There is always room for improvement.
