This is something that you do because you love it and are willing to devote time and energy to being the best mariachi singer you can be. Self-confidence rneans you believe in yourself, that you will be a great mariachi singer. You must feel comfoftabie and relaxed in front of peopie and on stage. if you feei nervous/ frightened this might not be a good thing for you to do. The way to get over nerves/fright is to practice until you can sing from memory. Seek out good singing teachers and take a few private lessons. Listen to what others tell you to do to improve and follow their advice. Listen to famous mariachi singers but do not try to sound like them. You willfind your own beautifulvoice in time with practice and performances. Audio record your singing and listen critically. Practice in front of a mirror and smile when you singl Sing to your relatives and friends for starters. Memorize all songs that you will perform. Always be humble and don't let popularity make you think you know it all. There is always room for improvement. II. Place a book on your stomach. xlnhale (breathe in) slowly and watch the book be pushed up by your stomachl diaphragm. *Briefly hold your breath. *Exhale ibreathe out) slowiy blowing air oui of your mouth and watch the book come down with your stomach/ diaphragm. *Practice and repeat this exercise 1-0 times. The toneue is Continue with "eer" "ohrt'and "oo" sounds. Practice singing soltiy and louciiy. At no time should these exercises hurt your vocal cords.
