If you haven't seen the Moon Flower on the trellis in bloom, stop by at dusk in the next couple weeks before a frost. The white flowers on this lovely scented vine bloom at nighttime! The 'pumpkins' in the Gardens and around the campus are courtesy of Stan and Lynn Epping. There are several places to sit throughout the Gardens and lights that come on in the evening. While you're there, take a few moments to give thanks for those folks who move St. Charles from one season to the next, inside and outside, always helping our parish be the best it can be. And give thanks for those folks who tirelessly facilitate our fundraisers. Much time and energy go into these necessary events. We're also blessed to have Fr. Jim, Fr. Yamid and Fr. Gene celebrating masses with us, an office staff that keeps things humming along, and many committees seeing to the needs of those in our parish community and beyond! Family Mass Resumes! Mark your calendars. Family Mass takes place the 2nd weekend of the month, October through March, at 5:15 and 10:00 masses. The first Family Masses are the weekend of October 8 and 9. At these 2 masses, students from St. Charles and REP actively participate in the Liturgy. If you’re not able to attend school masses on Wednesdays, this is a marvelous opportunity to see the youth of our parish shine as they ‘Come to the Feast,’ eager to hear the Gospel and learn more about the teachings of Jesus. If you do attend school masses on Wednesdays, Family Mass is an extra blessing where you can celebrate mass with your children, being for them an example in faith, which as a parent is the most powerful example they will have in their young lives. Be an example of faith. Make Mass Matter. See you at Mass! It is a wonderful way to help the less fortunate in our area. If you or your group are interested in joining our efforts, please contact Joan Kawalec 262-210-8714 [email protected]. Thank you again and feel free to spread the word inviting others to help. It is a nice community service project for small groups. Need Service Hours or Job Experience?
