Dear Mr. Schubert,
We, the signed below, are your truck driver
employees at Intermodal Bridge Transportation in
Long Beach. We work hard every day to secure the
future of this company, its customers, and our families.
This is to advise that a majority of all full-time
and regular part-time employees working as drivers at
the Intermodal Bridge Transportation (IBT) facility
located at 1926, 1998 E. O Street, Wilmington, CA
90744, excluding guards, supervisors, and all other
employees, have selected Teamsters Local Union 848
to be our exclusive bargaining representative.
We hereby demand that you respect our right to
organize and recognize Teamster Local Union 848 as
our exclusive bargaining representative, pursuant to
§9(a) of the National Labor Relations Act, for the
aforementioned group of employees.
In addition, as professional drivers, we also
demand a dignified and safe working environment.
We demand that you immediately repair all unsafe
trucks and ensure every truck has a functioning Air
Conditioning unit. We also demand access to a
dignified break room with clean drinking water,
proper restrooms, and a place where we can heat up
food and rest during our long days of work.
A majority of IBT drivers in Long Beach have
signed this letter. Please provide your response to this
demand for union recognition to Teamster attorney

atente contra nuestra propia seguridad y la de otras personas,

una unidad de aire acondicionado en funcionamiento. Así
mismo, demandamos acceso a un área de descanso digna con
disponibilidad de agua potable, baños en buen estado, y un lugar
donde podamos calentar nuestra comida y descansar durante
nuestros largos días de trabajo.
La mayoría de los choferes de IBT en Long Beach han
