The custom of requesting a priest to offer the
Mass for a specific intention, even when one
cannot be physically present at the Mass, is a
longstanding tradition in the Church.
This is because the Church considers the Mass as
the greatest possible prayer of intercession insofar
as it is the perfect offering of Christ to the Father
by making present the paschal mystery of his
death and resurrection.
CHAPEL OF OUR LADY OF THE CLERGY
You may request a Mass Intention by visiting the

To be a Christian is not a burden; it is a gift. St.
John tells us today: “for whoever is begotten of
God conquers the world. The victory that conquers the world is our faith.” Today, you are
confirmed in that faith; today, you enter into
full communion with the one, holy, Catholic
and Apostolic Church founded by Jesus Christ
on the rock of Peter.
Welcome home!

HELP ECUADOR
Donations to Catholic Relief Services will go to help earthquake's victims
MIAMI | On April 16, a 7.8-magnitude earthquake hit Ecuador, killing at least 350 people, a number that is expected to rise
as first responders reach the affected area. This is the strongest earthquake Ecuador has experienced since 1979.
Hundreds more have been injured, and there are reports of widespread damage to buildings, roads and other infrastructure. Communications are down or intermittent, further complicating damage assessment and need.
Given the widespread impact, Catholic Relief Services is coordinating with other humanitarian organizations and our partners to determine priorities.
Water, food and emergency shelter will be the biggest needs in the coming days. The people of Ecuador urgently need help.
Archbishop Thomas Wenski is encouraging archdiocesan Catholics to help by donating to CRS. Here's the link.
AYUDE A ECUADOR
CRS. Aquí está el enlace.
The Jubilee Year of Mercy
“…Plenary Indulgence for the temporal punishment of sins, imparted by the mercy of
God and applicable also to the souls of deceased faithful, may be obtained by all faithful
who, truly penitent, take Sacramental Confession and the Eucharist and pray in accordance with the intentions of the Supreme Pontiff
What must one do in order to receive the special Plenary Indulgence?
IN
INDULGENCE, A CATHOLIC IS REQUIRED
FIRST TO MAKE SACRAMENTAL CONFESSION, RECEIVE THE EUCHARIST AT
MASS, MAKE A PROFESSION OF FAITH AND OFFER PRAYERS (OUR FATHER ,
HAIL MARY AND THE CREED) FOR THE SUPREME PONTIFF'S INTENTIONS.
ORDER TO GAIN THIS SPECIAL
In addition to and in conjunction with fulfilling these conditions, one may then
take part in any of the following observances of the Jubilee of Mercy.
Each time one visits, in the course of a pilgrimage, one of the six designated pilgrimage
places in the Archdiocese of Miami: one is The Cathedral of Saint Mary, and then
walks through the designated Holy Door, and makes a brief visit.
The Pope has asked the Church in this Jubilee Year TO REDISCOVER THE RICHNESS
ENCOMPASSED BY THE SPIRITUAL AND CORPORAL WORKS OF MERCY. The
experience of mercy, indeed, becomes visible in the witness of CONCRETE SIGNS as Jesus
himself taught us. EACH TIME THAT ONE OF THE FAITHFUL PERSONALLY PERFORMS ONE OR MORE OF THESE ACTIONS, HE OR SHE SHALL SURELY OBTAIN THE JUBILEE INDULGENCE.
Indulgence can also be obtained for the deceased.
