To be administered individually to ALL students.

Place the student copy of letter pages in front of the student.
Teacher says: "¿Qué son éstas?" (Son letras)
"¿Puedes encontrar algunas que tú conoces?"
Once the child has pointed out the ones he/she knows, the teacher guides the child to go across
the rows saying:
"Lee las letras que sabes en esta hilera."
If a child does not respond:
Use one or more of these questions and try to avoid bias towards any one of them.
