LIFETEEN MASS (Parishioners)
FEBRUARY 28, 2016
We recently signed a contract with Otis Elevator
Company for the installation of our new elevator.
The cost will be $55,500.00. We recently received a
quarterly distribution from the Forward in Faith,
Hope, and Love Campaign for $26,827.24. This
money will be used to pay for the new elevator. A total of 565
donors pledged $1,976,683.61 to Forward in Faith, Hope and Love
for our parish. To date, $755,698.36 has been paid and our current
outstanding pledge total is $1,220,985.25. Our records indicate that
87 donors have paid their pledge in full, while 73 donors have not
made a payment on their pledge. Nan Lacy, our Business
Administrator, is currently making calls to verify our records and to
encourage parishioners to initiate payments on their pledge, so we
can use the proceeds to help pay for our new elevator.
Congratulations to Fran Herfurth and Jesse Consing for
winning the inaugural St. Al’s Ping-Pong Tourney. Please support
our Life Teen Program by attending their St. Patrick’s Dinner on
March 13 from 4:00-8:00 PM.
- Sincerely Yours in Christ

CHURCH HUMOR!
A few months after the start of the capital campaign, the pastor
stood up one Sunday morning and announced to the congregation,
“I have good news and bad news. The good news is, we have
enough money to pay for our new building program. The bad news
is, it is still in your pockets!”

SUNDAY ADULT FAITH ENRICHMENT
Today, Sunday, February 28th, we continue the series, “Catching
Fire/Becoming Flame” by Fr. Albert Haase, OFM, with the lesson,
“God’s Will and Decision Making.” We’ve learned that God gives
us free will, but we also have to learn to make wise decisions. Fr.
Haase will discuss the things each of us need to consider when we
are making decisions. You are invited to join the prayer, lesson,
and discussion as we gather Sunday mornings from 9:15 – 10:30 in
the Parlor.
LENTEN BOOK STUDY
Our Lenten lunch and learn group will meet this Wednesday in
the Parlor from 12-1:00 PM. Bring a sack lunch and discuss
Chapter 3: Human roots of the ecological crisis. Pope Francis calls
for dialogue to create an ethical framework of principles and
behaviors, and suggests several areas for discussion and decisionmaking. For more information, contact Thea Sinclair, 228-2020 or
