Job Title:
Sales Consultant – Doors and Floors
Reporting to:
Shop Manager
Location:
Newry
Responsible for:
Co-ordination of doors, floors, ironmongery, related timber sales, stoves and
AGA offering the complete package to the calling customer trade person.
Main Duties and
Responsibilities
Responsible for all on site customer sales.
Maintaining a high standard of showroom display, ensuring all areas are presentable
and up to date.
Co-ordination of door sales with ironmongery and architraves.
Manage the complete sales of all timber floors, including underlay, skirting, fixing and
related products.
Develop and manage a list of recommended joiners to offer a supply and fit service for
doors and floors.
Co-ordination of wholesale/distribution of Haldane Fisher timber flooring range
Monitor and manage stock levels for retail flooring (Newry)
Assist with the sales of stoves and related products within the Newry showroom
Assist with the sale of AGA cookers and related products within the Newry showroom
Assist with the regular evening AGA demonstrations as required
Liaise with Operations staff for order processing, storage and despatch of goods
Liaise with the Timber buying department to improve range and offering
Actively promote the service offered by Haldane Fisher to achieve sales targets
Co-operate and assist other departments to achieve sales and margin targets

Act at all times with courtesy and goodwill towards customers to promote the best
image of the Company.
Attend training and product seminars as required to improve your knowledge and sales
techniques with the product range.
Work overtime and carry out other duties from time to time (including stocktaking) at
the request of the Company. This includes a flexible approach to start and finish times
outside the normal working day.
To ensure that your dress, manner and behaviour is to the professional standards set
by the Company.
To assist during busy periods or absence with customers at the trade counter and
bathroom showroom
To ensure that every effort is made to secure the health and safety of you and those
affected by your acts or omissions.
