Normas ISO 10545-13 • ISO 10545-14
Característica: Resistencia química (10545-13) y Resistencia a las manchas (10545-14).
- Esta norma define el método para el ensayo y el valor mínimo que debe dar la prueba a determinados agentes químicos que pueden
atacar a las superficies esmaltadas de cada modelo.
- Hay que prestar especial atención a los decorados que se realizan en cocción posterior sobre los revestimientos.
- Estos decorados suelen tener una resistencia química diferente a la de las bases sobre las que están aplicados, por lo que hay que
prestar especial atención primero a este detalle, sobre todo si se utilizan decorados elaborados con oro y/o platino que son más
delicados, y en los que debe evitarse el uso de detergentes abrasivos o excesivamente enérgicos, así como la indebida manipulación de estos productos, evitándose rozaduras y rayados.
- Para medir la resistencia a las manchas, las soluciones a utilizar se aplican, se dejan secar y a continuación se examinan las piezas.
- Para medir la resistencia a los agentes químicos como productos de limpieza y aditivos usados en la limpieza de piscinas, el ensayo se
efectúa sometiendo la superficie esmaltada a la acción de estos productos durante 6 horas.
- Para los ácidos y álcalis, el ensayo se efectúa según el procedimiento anterior pero por un período de 7 días; su valoración, es la siguiente:
·Valoración para agentes de limpieza y sales para piscinas.
GA - Cuando no existe efecto visible (un ligero cambio de color no es considerado como un ataque químico).
GB - Cuando no se modifica el aspecto.
GC - Cuando existe una desaparición total o parcial de la superficie original.
·Valoración visual ácidos y álcalis.
GLA - Cuando no existe efecto visible (un ligero cambio de color no es considerado como un ataque químico).
GLB - Cuando no se modifica el aspecto.
GLC - Cuando existe una desaparición total o parcial de la superficie original.
·Para las manchas, su valoración es la siguiente:
GHA - No lo ataca.
GHB - Lo ataca.
GHC - Se queda manchado.
Norma ISO 10545-7
Característica; Resistencia a la abrasión superficial de las baldosas (método PEI).Característica; Resistencia a la abrasión superficial de las baldosas
(método PEI).
- Este ensayo determina la resistencia a la abrasión del esmalte de las baldosas para pavimento, mediante la rotación de una carga
- Este ensayo determina la resistencia a la abrasión del esmalte de las baldosas para pavimento, mediante la rotación de una carga
abrasiva sobre su superficie y posterior examen de su aspecto exterior.
- Se consideran cuatro valores:
Clase I - Efecto visible a partir de 150 revoluciones.
Clase II - Efecto visible a partir de 600 revoluciones.
Clase III - Efecto visible a partir de 750 revoluciones.
Clase IV - Efecto visible a partir de 2.100 revoluciones.
Clase V - Efecto visible a partir de 12.000 revoluciones.
- Se recomienda su uso según la clase obtenida en:
PEI I - Utilización exclusiva en el cuarto de baño privado.
PEI II - Utilización exclusiva en el cuarto de baño y habitaciones interiores.
PEI III - Utilización en cualquier espacio de la casa excepto en la cocina.
PEI IV - Utilización en cualquier espacio privado inclusive cocina y garaje, así como habitaciones de hotel y restaurantes.
PEI V - Utilización en todos los espacios arriba menciona dos y zonas de acceso al público con tránsito moderado a medio.
Norma EN 67-101-92
Característica: Dureza al rayado de la superficie (método MOHS).
- Determina la dureza al rayado de la superficie de una baldosa cerámica.
- Para determinar su valor se somete al rayado de la pieza por diferentes minerales de dureza conocida que van desde el 1 que
corresponde al Talco al 10 que corresponde al Diamante y significa que dicho esmalte puede ser rayado por un objeto cuya dureza sea
similar al mineral que corresponda según la escala, considerando que a valor más alto más resistente al rayado.
- Este valor debe leerse comparándolo con el del PEI y tendrá mayor o menor significado según el uso que se le vaya a dar.
Más adelante se dan en cuadro separado para cada modelo, los valores de resistencia a los agentes químicos y a las manchas para el revestimiento,
y los mismos más la resistencia a la abrasión y la dureza al rayado, para los pavimentos. Tanto la resistencia a la abrasión como la dureza del rayado,
pierden su significado en los revestimientos por lo que para ello no se dan estos valores.

Norma EN 14411:2004
La norma EN 14411:2004, define, clasifica y marca las características y requisitos de las baldosas cerámicas generalmente utilizadas para revestimientos
de paredes y suelos.
Característica: Dureza al rayado de la superficie (método MOHS).
- Determina la dureza al rayado de la superficie de una baldosa cerámica.
- Para determinar su valor se somete al rayado de la pieza por diferentes minerales de dureza conocida que van desde el 1 que
corresponde al Talco al 10 que corresponde al Diamante y significa que dicho esmalte puede ser rayado por un objeto cuya dureza sea
similar al mineral que corresponda según la escala, considerando que a valor más alto más resistente al rayado.
- Este valor debe leerse comparándolo con el del PEI y tendrá mayor o menor significado según el uso que se le vaya a dar.

NORMA EN 14411:2012
La norma EN 14411:2012, define términos y establece las características para baldosas cerámicas fabricadas por los métodos de extrusión y de prensado
en seco, utilizadas para revestimiento de suelos (incluidas escaleras) y paredes interiores y/o exteriores.
- Según la misma, son baldosas cerámicas:
“... fabricadas a partir de arcillas y/u otras materias primas inorgánicas, moldeadas generalmente por extrusión o por prensado en seco a temperatura
ambiente, seguido por un secado y cocción a temperaturas suficientes para desarrollar las propiedades requeridas…”
“… pueden ser esmaltadas o no esmaltadas.”
“El esmalte es una cubierta vitrificada y prácticamente impermeable.”
- Según dicha norma:
“Baldosas prensadas son las formadas a partir de una masa obtenida de una mezcla finamente molida y moldeada por presión.”
- Distingue distintos conceptos en la medida:
Medida nominal: Es la utilizada para designar el producto.
Medida de fabricación: Es la prevista para su fabricación.
Medida real: Es la que realmente resulta de una medición.
Tolerancia: Es la diferencia, según la Norma ISO 10545-2, entre los límites admisibles de cada medida.
- Según la absorción de agua (E), distingue:
Grupo I: Absorción de agua inferior al 3% (E<3%)
Grupo IIa: Absorción de agua entre el 3% y el 6% (3%<E<6%)
Grupo IIb: Absorción de agua entre el 6% y el 10 % (6%<E<10%)
Grupo III: Absorción de agua superior al 10% (E>10%)
- Por su fabricación, se divide en:
Baldosas extruidas (tipo A).
Baldosas prensadas en seco (tipo B).
- Todos los productos fabricados por DONNAKER, son del tipo B y de los grupos Ia, IIa, III según el siguiente detalle:

- This norm defines the method for the test and the minimum result obtained by the test with specific chemical agents, which could corrode the enamelled
surface of each model.
- Special attention has to be given to painted decorations, which are baked posterior on the final wall tiles.
- These decorations have a different chemical resistance to one of the bases, to which they are applied, so that special attention has to be paid first,
specially to elaborate decorations with gold and/or platinum which are more delicate and on which the use of abrasive or too energetic detergents shall
be avoided, also like the improper manipulation of these products, avoiding frictions and scratches.
- To measure stain resistance apply the solutions which will be used, leave them to dry and then examine the pieces.
- To measure the resistance to the chemical agents, like cleaning products and additives used for cleaning swimming pools, the test will be made by
exposing the enamelled surface to the effects of mentioned products during 6 hours.
- The test for acids and alkalis will be carried out like the former described process, but with an exposing period of 7 days.
- The following standardisation is applyable for cleaning products and additives for cleaning swimming pools:
GA - There is no visible effect. (A light change of colour is not considered as a chemical attack).
GB - There is not a change of the exterior appearance.
GC - There is a total or partial disappearance of the original surface.
- The following standardisation is applyable for acids and alkalis:
GLA - There is no visible effect. (A light change of colour is not considered as an acid or alkalis attack).
GLB - There is not a change of the exterior appearance.
GLC - There is a total or partial disappearance of the original surface.
- The following standarization is applicable for stains:
GHA - It does not corrode the enamel.
GHB - It corrodes the enamel.
GHB - It gets stained.
Norm ISO 10545-7
Characteristic: Resistance of floor tiles to superficial abrasion (Method PEI)
- This test determines the resistance of floor tiles through rotation of an abrasive load on the surface and posterior examination of its external appearance.

Norm EN 67-101-92

- Determines scratch hardness of the surface of a ceramic tile.
- To determine its value, the piece is exposed to scratches by different minerals, whose hardness is known, starting from number 1, which belongs to talc,
up to 10, which belongs to diamond. It indicates that the enamel of the piece can be scratched by an object whose hardness is similar to the one of the
mineral classified by the scale, considering, the higher the value, the more scratch resistance.
- This value has to be read comparing it with the value of PEI, it will have much, or little significance according to the use you will give it.
Following, the values of resistance to chemical agents and stains in wall tiles, the vale of abrasive resistance and scratch hardness for floor tiles will be
shown in a separate chart for each model.
The abrasive resistance and scratch hardness lose significance in wall tiles, therefore no values are given.
Norm EN 14411: 2004
The norm EN 14411: 2004 defines, classifies and points out the characteristics and requirements of ceramic tiles, generally used for wall tiles of walls and
floors.
·- According to this norm ceramic tiles are:
“...panels of thin thickness fabricated with clays, silicas, fusings, dyes and other materials, generally used for wall tiles of walls, floors and frontages.”
“They are manufactured by means of molturation- and casted by pressure- generally at ambiental temperature.”
“After that they are dried and later on baked with high temperatures.”
“The ceramic tiles can be enamelled... and are fireproof and light fast.”
·- According to this norm:
“The enamel is a vitrified wall tiles and practically waterproof”.
“Single fired: floor tiles pressed glazed and fired once.”
“Pressed tiles are the ones formed from a mixture, reduced to powder or small grains and cast at high pressure in moulds.”
·- It distinguishes different concepts in measures:
Nominal measure: is the one used to specify the product.
Measure for fabrication: is the planned one for its
fabrication.
Real measure: is the one really obtained by measurement.
Allowance: is the difference, according to the Norm EN 98, between the admissible limits of measure.
·- It distinguishes according to the absorption of water (E):
Type I: Absorption of water inferior to 3% (E<3%)
Type IIa: Absorption of water between 3% and 6% (3%<E<6%)
