Museu de Cera de Barcelona The building & the square We are very proud of our building because it is a Historical-Artistic Interest building in Barcelona. 17 Museu de Cera de Barcelona Spaces The circuit of the museum’s tour takes about an hour, and it starts in the staircase and it ends at the most mysterious area of the museum. The set design was designed by the founder of the museum, Enrique Alarcón, a professional set designer. The museum consists of materials like silk, glass, wood, marble or steel. Many rooms retain their original decoration and others have been transformed in a spectacular way, like the prehistoric cave or the gothic room. Next pages list the different areas of the museum, in order of appearance in the circuit. 19 Tour 1 Primera part de la visita 01 Hall 02 Staircase 03 Music room 04 Children’s room 05 Crystal patio 06 Leaders Spaces Crystal patio It is the biggest room of the museum, and it preserves many parts of the original decoration, when the building was a bank.
