PEACE BE WITH YOU!
What an election! Some have described the November 8th Presidential
election as an "earthquake". Here in our parish I have heard a great
deal from many of our parishioners who response to the outcome is
one
of
fear
or
anxiety.
As your Pastor, I want to bring you peace, especially peace of
mind.
DO
NOT
BE
AFRAID!
First of all, the President-elect is not yet in office, and has not even
chosen his advisors. He will not become President until midJanuary. None of the newly elected Federal representatives will not
even form a new government until January. Little can change until after
January.
Second, no President has the authority to round up millions of
people. That would be challenged in the court. He can do something
about people convicted of violent crimes. That is a different
matter. Even then, he is limited in what he can do. Such activities will
require a long, drawn out political process. Additionally, it is simply
impossible to round up an estimated 12 million people. Be at peace. It
is physically and legally impossible.
There was a lot of emotional talk during the campaign. Already people
are backing away from some of the extreme talk.
We still live in a country that respects human rights. We are a nation
of laws. Compared to many other countries, The USA is a country that
provides opportunity and public order. We pray to God that will not
change. And, what I am hearing is that the first priorities of the new
administration will be for more jobs and national security. And, we still
have the national right to worship God in our Church, in peace.
Last of all, I am telling our parishioners, turn off your television
sets. Too many people leave their television sets on all day long. That
is a form of "brain-washing". Yes, watch television for entertainment
and information, but turn it off after you have seen a program. Protect
your mind and your freedom. The press and the cable news this past
year have been highly selective in their coverage and bias. There is
something fraudulent if they tell us that the election was a complete
surprise. That is largely false. Often they did not want to tell us what
they really knew. Much of the media was corrupt. Turn off the
television!
We are going to be OK. Thanks be to God. "Tranquilo".

¡Que elecciones! Algunos han descrito la elección
presidencial del 8 de noviembre como un “terremoto”.
Aquí en nuestra parroquia hemos estado escuchando
de muchos parroquianos acerca del miedo o la
ansiedad.
Como su Pastor, quiero traerles paz a sus mentes.
¡NO TENGAN MIEDO!
Primero que todo, el Presidente electo aun no es
oficial y aún no ha elegido a sus asesores. El será
presidente hasta mediados de Enero. Ninguno de los
representantes federales será electo hasta Enero.
Poco puede cambiar hasta después de Enero.
Segundo, ningún Presidente tiene la autoridad de
expulsar millones de personas. Esto será un reto en
la corte. El puede hacer algo con personas convictas
de crímenes violentos. Esto es algo diferente. Incluso,
él está limitado en las cosas que puede hacer. Estas
cosas requieren un largo proceso político. Además,
es imposible expulsar a aproximadamente 12
millones de personas. Estén tranquilos. Esto es
físicamente y legalmente imposible.
Hubo mucha discusión emocional durante la
campaña. Y muchas personas ya están olvidándose
de algunas de esas platicas extremas.
Aun vivimos en un país que respeta los derechos
humanos. Somos una nación de leyes. Comparada
con muchos otros países. Los Estados Unidos es un
país que da oportunidades y orden público. Oremos
a Dios para que esto no cambie. Y lo que estoy
escuchando es que las primeras prioridades de la
nueva administración serán más trabajos y seguridad
nacional. Y aún tenemos la libertad de alabar a Dios
en nuestras iglesias, en paz.
Por último, les estoy diciendo a nuestros
parroquianos que apaguen sus televisiones. Mucha
gente deja su televisión encendida todo el día. Esa es
una manera de “lavar el cerebro” Vea la tele solo para
entretenimiento o información y apáguela cuando
termine de ver su programa. Proteja su mente y su
libertad. La prensa y las noticias este año pasado has
sido muy selectivas en sus coberturas. Hay algo
fraudulento si ellos nos dicen que la elección fue
completamente sorpresiva. Esta es una gran
falsedad. Frecuentemente ellos no quieren
decirnos lo que realmente saben. Muchos medios
de comunicación son corruptos. Apague su
televisor!
