Since its foundation by José Pedro Pérez-Llorca and Jaime
García Añoveros in 1983, the firm has experienced significant

Desde su fundación por José Pedro Pérez-Llorca y Jaime
García Añoveros en 1983, el Despacho ha experimentado un
importante crecimiento, hasta contar en la actualidad con más
de 150 abogados especializados en diversas áreas de práctica.

“If I had to summarise my professional experience at
Pérez-Llorca in a few words, I would say continuous

The Litigation practice is made up of lawyers from the
specialities of Litigation and Arbitration as well as White Collar
Crime, who are distributed between our offices in Madrid and
Barcelona. These teams have been publicly recognised for

on which they have advised.

professional goals.
TESEO constituye un ambicioso plan formativo de dos años

At the beginning of 2015, Pérez-Llorca started working in its
London office. Adding to this first foreign office, the firm will
open its next office abroad in New York in the fourth quarter of
2015. Pérez-Llorca will advise on Spanish law in both offices.
This international expansion is in line with the firm’s strategy
to grow and expand. Both offices hope to assist Pérez-Llorca’s
clients with the development of their projects and build bridges
to collaborate closely with local firms. These two offices are
managed by partners who have spent the majority of their
professional careers at Pérez-Llorca. They are accompanied
by associates who joined as first-year lawyers and have grown
both personally and professionally at Pérez-Llorca.

What are the objectives?
TESEO provides our lawyers with solid legal training based
on analysing fundamental questions concerning Company
Law, the knowledge of practice areas different to those
in which the lawyers normally work, updates on the main
legal developments (i.e. legislative, case law and academic
developments), and skills necessary for the practice of law.
How long does it last?
TESEO lasts two years (two academic courses, each from
September to July).

The welcome course offers you an insight into the firm’s

This part of the training offers you a practical focus on

possible obstacles common to the practice of law.

As a first year lawyer, whether you start working with us right
after joining the bar or in order to do your work experience as
part of the Master’s degree for Access to the Legal Profession,
you will join teams of recognised professionals through our
rotation system.

alumno de prácticas del Máster de Acceso, te integrarás en
un equipo de reconocidos y consolidados profesionales
mediante nuestro sistema de rotaciones.
If you are a law graduate, you will have the opportunity to
work in three different practice areas within our 15-month
rotation system, where each rotation lasts 5 months. This will
give you a more well-rounded perspective of the practice of
law as a whole and of each practice area. During this period,
you will work independently, guided by your tutor/mentor
from each practice area in which you are collaborating. At the
end of this rotation period your specialist practice area will be
decided, taking into account your individual performance, the
firm’s needs and your personal preferences.

oportunidad de trabajar durante 15 meses en tres áreas
diferentes del Despacho, 5 meses en cada una, lo que te

If you join the firm to carry out your compulsory work
experience (prácticas de Máster de Acceso) in order to prepare
for the bar exam and qualify as a lawyer, you will work as part
of a team for 4 or 5 months. After passing the bar exam, and
once you are qualified as a lawyer, you will ideally work with
2 more teams before your specialist practice area is decided.

universities that will allow you to do both curricular and
extracurricular internships for 1 or 2 months in the summer or
during the academic year, provided that this is compatible with
your studies. We are very flexible when it comes to designing
customised internship schedules for each student.

for Access to the Legal Profession
We start the recruitment process for future interns that will
complete the compulsory work experience for the Master’s
degree for Access to the Legal Profession at our firm while
they are in their last year of undergraduate study. We would
be pleased to offer advice to students that are not sure
where to enrol for the obligatory Master’s degree. We also
recruit students during the theoretical part of the Master’s
programme.

Requirements
Our recruitment process is focused on hiring junior lawyers in
two ways:
If you have a law degree and you also have an excellent
academic record, a very good command of English and your
vocation is the practice of law:

We will also evaluate your knowledge of other languages, joint
honours degrees and training at postgraduate level, as well as
your personal and professional skills.
Selection process
Junior lawyers: Lawyers with no experience or with a
maximum experience of 2 years (law graduates would have
to have successfully passed the bar exam and be able to
become members of the bar).
Compulsory work experience for the Master’s degree for
Access to the Legal Profession students: Law graduates
currently studying this Master’s or law students in their last
academic year who intend to study this Master’s during the
following year.
1. An exam testing your legal knowledge (general and specific)
and language skills.
2. A case study.
3. Interviews with HR and lawyers.
4. Final interviews with partners.
*Candidates who do not attach their university transcripts will
not be considered.

Proceso de selección
Abogados Junior: Licenciados o Graduados en Derecho con
hasta un máximo de dos años de experiencia (en el caso de los
Graduados tendrían que haber aprobado el examen de acceso
y estar en condición de poder colegiarse).
Prácticas del Máster de Acceso: Graduados en Derecho
cursando el Máster de Acceso a la Abogacía, o alumnos del
último curso de grado/doble grado en Derecho con intención
de cursar el Máster de Acceso a la Abogacía.
1. Examen de conocimientos jurídicos (generales y
específicos) e idiomas.
2. Caso práctico.
3. Entrevistas con RR.HH. y abogados del Despacho.
4. Entrevistas finales con socios del Despacho.
*No se valorará la candidatura que no adjunte expediente
académico.
