His Eminence , Sean Cardinal O’Malley, OFM invites all couples celebrating their 25th or 50th wedding anniversary in 2016 to the Silver and Golden
Wedding Anniversary Mass at the Cathedral of the
Holy Cross. The Mass will be celebrated on
September 25th at 11:30AM and will include a
renewal of vows. Family members and friends are
welcome to attend.

VIRTUS TRAINING All who teach or volunteer
at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross are required to
attend the VIRTUS: Protecting God's Children
training session. The session is prevention and
awareness training at the parish level for adults called "Protecting God's Children," and administered by the Catholic Risk Retention Group under
an umbrella called VIRTUS - consists of classroom
presentations, printed materials and videotapes that
will focus on the prevention of abuse and the protection of children. After you attend the session,
you will receive a certificate, which will be kept on
file in the Parish Office. You only need to attend
this training once; you do not need to attend each
year. Contact Bob Travers in the Parish Office to
sign up for one of these training sessions (617-5425682 or [email protected]).

“A Discernment Weekend”
Dominican Sisters of Peace invite single, Catholic women, ages 18-45, to attend a free “Come and
See” Discernment Retreat designed to explore contemporary Dominican life for women. Experience
Dominican prayer and community with the Sisters,
reflect on God’s call for your life and explore contemporary Dominican life as a Sister. The retreat
begins at 4:30pm Friday, September 9 and concludes at noon, Sunday, September 11 at the Dominicans Sisters of Peace Motherhouse, 1230 W.

Mass Cards and Spiritual Bouquets
Parishioners are welcome to come to the office to
request a Mass Card or a Spiritual Bouquet. The
Mass Card is a remembrance by which we offer an
announced Mass for the repose of the soul of the
deceased person or for the intentions of the living.
The Spiritual Bouquet is an enrollments in which
we remember the person enrolled at Mass offered
every week for both living and deceased.
