step into the entrance to the church, where
you can see and listen to the Mass. A pew is
provided for seating and you can attend to
your child’s needs as well a being present for Mass.

part of our diocesan program this year and we will have
two candidates for Pastoral Year by the beginning of

held November 8th after the 5 o'clock
Mass. We will have the Pot Luck Supper
every second Saturday of the month

THE CHURCH/LA IGLESIA

respetuosamente si tiene su importancia. La Iglesia es un
lugar sagrado, reservado para el culto a Dios. En la
Iglesia Católica esta reservado El Santísimo en el
tabernáculo y Su Presencia Real requiere de nosotros la
mayor reverencia. Es por eso que, aunque no se esté
celebrando la Santa Misa, el ambiente en la iglesia debe
conducir a la oración y el respeto a Dios.
The Basilica of Rome does not allow short trousers,
provocative dresses without sleeves or cleavage. We are
not going to discuss here the exact boundary of each
piece. Modesty and respect must guide us. We do not
aim to make clothes the center of attention. But
nowadays we have gone to the extreme and forgotten
that to dress respectfully is important. The Church is a
sacred place, reserved for the veneration of God. In the
Catholic Church the Blessed Sacrament is reserved in
the tabernacle and its Royal Presence requires of us
great reverence. This is why, even when Holy Mass is
not being celebrated, the atmosphere in the church
must lead to prayer and respect of God.

We will soon be painting all the buildings of our
Parochial Community. The work begins Monday,
November 24 and ends Saturday, December 6. Because
of the amount of paint needed, we have negotiated a
discount and will parchase all of the paint at one time.
Five gallons will cost $120. If you would like to donate
paint or help painting, please call the parish office or
speak with a Hospitality Minister after Mass. Thank
you for your generosity.
