Dear brothers and sisters in the Lord,
The month of November is traditionally
dedicated to remembrance of the faithful
departed. Here at St. Paul’s we continue
our custom of having a banner in the
church with the names of parishioners
who have died in the past year. Pleas lift
up in your prayers our departed
parishioners, as well as those who still
grieve and suffer at the loss of loved ones.
In the Solemnity of All Saints, we
celebrated what we hope to one day be –
a saint among choirs of angels together
with the great communion of those that
“have washed their robes and made them
white in the Blood of the Lamb” (Rv 7:14).
All saints, martyrs and holy ones, pray for
us!

The Community Dinner each Wednesday at First Christian Church is in need of volunteers every week
to help serve, and especially to help clean up after the meal. Volunteers from other groups and area
churches typically help serve, but few people stay to clean up. If this is something you would like to do,
there is a need every single week! There are always opportunities to serve and greet people, or help with
bussing tables or at the dessert table. Go and enjoy a great meal and then offer to stay and help wash
dishes or vacuum the floor, or any of the other things that need to be done so that this service to feed the
hungry in our community may continue. Thank you for your continued support!
Tickets will be available for our Parish Auction Dinner beginning November 5. Our Auction is scheduled
for Saturday FEBRUARY 4. Early Bird Special! Purchase your tickets early at last year’s price of $35
per ticket, and save $5 from the price increase this year to $40 per ticket after January 1!

Year of Mercy Indulgence - A Golden Opportunity!
It’s not too late to obtain the Year of Mercy plenary indulgence. Within a three week period or less, the
faithful are asked to go to Confession, receive the Holy Eucharist, make a profession of faith, pray for the
Pope, and perform an act of charity or visit a designated holy door. When all of these acts are performed with
the intention of receiving the indulgence and one remains in a state of grace, the indulgence is obtained.
Tour of Pope St. John Paul II Relic: The Archdiocese is sponsoring a special tour of a relic of St.

Keizer on November 8 & 9. For each visit, Brother Mauricio (who is accompanying this relic) will
provide some teaching and catechesis, along with the opportunity for prayer and devotion of the relic
(a small vial of the saint’s blood). Br. Mauricio will be present for two days at the parish – one
evening in English, and one in Spanish.
Specific times are still being confirmed and will be posted as soon as possible at:

REFLEXION:
San Lucas 20, 27 - 38
Te perteneceremos y no
descansaremos hasta estar cobijados en tu Amor.
Ojalá aprendamos cuál es nuestra meta, tan
íntimamente unida con nuestro origen. Venimos y
