Here at St. Paul’s we continue our custom of having a banner in the church with the names of parishioners who have died in the past year. Pleas lift up in your prayers our departed parishioners, as well as those who still grieve and suffer at the loss of loved ones. In the Solemnity of All Saints, we celebrated what we hope to one day be – a saint among choirs of angels together with the great communion of those that “have washed their robes and made them white in the Blood of the Lamb” (Rv 7:14). The Community Dinner each Wednesday at First Christian Church is in need of volunteers every week to help serve, and especially to help clean up after the meal. Volunteers from other groups and area churches typically help serve, but few people stay to clean up. If this is something you would like to do, there is a need every single week! There are always opportunities to serve and greet people, or help with bussing tables or at the dessert table. Go and enjoy a great meal and then offer to stay and help wash dishes or vacuum the floor, or any of the other things that need to be done so that this service to feed the hungry in our community may continue. Thank you for your continued support! Tickets will be available for our Parish Auction Dinner beginning November 5. Our Auction is scheduled for Saturday FEBRUARY 4. Early Bird Special! Purchase your tickets early at last year’s price of $35 per ticket, and save $5 from the price increase this year to $40 per ticket after January 1! 3 Readings for the Week Mary Dunbar Mindy Doeden Katie Edmonds* Phil Appleton Jon Edmonds Pastoral Council Laura Salgado Mary Fogarty Clarissa Bay Finance Council: Judy Lowery Kathy Beutler* *Council Chair Jenelle Gasper Annmarie Hare Evelin Vazquez Tom Unger Chris Fleshman M T W Th F S S Titus 1:1-9 Luke 17:1-6 Titus 2:1-8, 11-14 Luke 17:7-10 Ezekiel 47:1-2, 8-0, 12 1 Corinth. 3:9c-11, 16-17 John 2:13-22 Philemon 7 – 20 Luke 17:20-25 2 John 4 – 9 Luke 17:26-37 3 John 5 – 8 Luke 18:1 - 8 Malachi 3:19-20a 2 Thess. 3:7-12 Luke 21:5-19 Prayer Intentions of the Holy Father for the Month of November Universal: Countries Receiving Refugees That the countries which take in a great number of displaced persons and refugees may find support for their efforts which show solidarity.
