Archdiocese of Atlanta
The Church of the Good Shepherd
Fourteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time
July 3, 2016
The seventy-two
returned rejoicing,
and said,
“Lord, even the
demons are subject
to us because of
your name.”
Jesus said,
“I have observed
Satan fall like
lightning from the
sky. Behold, I have
given you the power
to ‘tread upon
serpents and
scorpions’ and upon
the full force of the
enemy and nothing
will harm you.
Nevertheless, do not
rejoice because the
spirits are subject to
you, but rejoice
because your
names are written in
heaven.”

A Message from Rev. Diosmar A. Natad, Pastor
Dear Parishioners of Good Shepherd,
Peace be with you!
A few weeks ago, I received a letter from the Archbishop
of Atlanta appointed me to be the new pastor at Good
Shepherd Catholic Church. I am so grateful to God
beyond words that my priestly journey has been blessed
again with this wonderful faith community. Fr.
Frank Richardson and I have known each other for many
years and I really admire him as my brother priest. I wish
him all the best on his retirement and thank him for being
a wonderful pastor.
As I am looking forward to be part of Good Shepherd
Parish, please allow me to introduce myself. I am Father
Diosmar A. Natad. I was born and raised in Cebu,
Philippines. I finished my Bachelor of Science in
Chemical Engineering at University of San JoseRecoletos, Philippines and earned my Master of Divinity
degree at Mount St. Mary's Seminary in Maryland in 2003. I was ordained priest for the
Archdiocese of Atlanta at the Cathedral of Christ the King in 2004 by Archbishop John Francis
Donoghue.
My first parish assignment was an associate pastor at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Peachtree
City. After a couple of years, I moved to Transfiguration Catholic Church in Marietta for a short
period of time and then to St. Peter Chanel Catholic Church in Roswell for about two years.
Then, I became the Master of Ceremonies to Archbishop Wilton Gregory for more than three
years and part- time associate pastor at St. Brigid Catholic Church in Johns Creek with Bishop
David P. Talley before I became the chaplain and director at Emory University Catholic Center.
Then, I became pastor at St. Mary, Mother of God Catholic Church in Jackson, Georgia.
With God's grace, my priestly ministry will begin a new chapter and it is with great appreciation
to the Lord for leading me here at Good Shepherd Catholic Church as your pastor. My greatest
hope is to grow with all of you in the spirit of joy and love in serving the parish. May we
continue to work together as one family of faith with one heart and one mind intent upon the
glory of God.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
Rev. Diosmar A. Natad

CATHOLIC CHARISMATIC PRAYER MEETING Good Shepherd Church | Parish Life CenterRoom 303 |7:00 PM Monthly gathering
on the 2nd FRIDAY OF EACH MONTH
«Os envío»
Rev. D. Iñaki BALLBÉ i Turu
Mirad: os he dado potestad para pisotear serpientes y escorpiones y
todo el ejército del enemigo. Y no os hará daño alguno. Sin embargo, no estéis alegres porque se os someten los espíritus;
Dr. Josef ARQUER (Berlin, Alemania)
H
hombre».
