ST. MARELLO BOOKSTORE
The bookstore is open today from 7:30-2pm & 4:30
to 8pm. Today is the last summer “Vacation Bible
Camp” from 2:30-4pm. Children from ages 6-12 are
welcome. The topic today is “Angels”. The children
will start with an information session and follow that
with a craft time. Stop by the bookstore and let us
know that your children will be joining us. There is
limited space but we do have space left. The “Ear of
the Heart” book is back in stock. This book is he story of Dolores Hart and her journey from actress to

PRESCHOOL OPEN HOUSE
St. Joachim Preschool will have an open house on August
14, from 5 - 7 pm. Come by and see our classroom and
meet the teachers. Registration packets will be available.
New families who register at the open house will be entered
into a drawing for free tuition for the month of December.

A FAREWELL AND WELCOME MASS TO BE CELEBRATED ON
AUGUST 18, AT 9:30 AM & 12:30PM
Bischop Armando Ochoa will celebrate the 9:30 am Mass on
August 18, at which he will install Fr. John Warburton, OSJ, as
new Pastor of St. Joachim, Fr. Shaji Athipozhi OSJ, also be welcomed as newly assigned associate pastor to St. Joachim’s. This
will also be the last Sunday Frs. Carlos and Sergio will be present
at prior to their departure to new assignments. Join us for a reception at Holy Spouses Hall after both 9:30am and 12:30pm masses
to say farewell and welcome to Frs. Carlos, Sergio, John and Shaji
CATHOLIC MEN OF FAITH
Catholic Men of Faith would like to invite you to come see how

CANTORS
Our parish is in need of a few individuals who are willing to serve
as cantors. Cantors lead the congregation in the Responsorial
Psalm, Gospel Acclamation Previous choir or other musical experience is helpful but not mandatory and candidates will be individually trained. It is a privilege to serve at the table of the Lord;

SAVEMART SHARE PROGRAM QUARTERLY INCOME
The quarterly check from our Share Card Program was
$1,430.64. Since 2009 we had received over $20,000. Please continue to use your card when you shop. If anyone is interested in
getting a card, they are available at the Church Office.
