This manual contains safety and operating instructions
for your new Jacobsen machine. This manual should be
stored with the equipment for reference during operation.
The serial plate is located on the frame behind the left
front tire. Jacobsen recommends you record these
numbers below for easy reference.
Before you operate your machine, you and each operator
you employ should read the manual carefully in its
entirety. By following the safety, operating, and
maintenance instructions, you will prolong the life of your
equipment, and maintain its maximum efficiency.

2.1 HOW TO OPERATE SAFELY
! WARNING
EQUIPMENT OPERATED INCORRECTLY OR WITHOUT TRAINING CAN BE DANGEROUS.
Know the location and correct operation of controls. Operators without experience must receive instruction from
another person that knows the correct operation of the equipment before you operate the mower.
Only use parts, accessories and attachments approved by Jacobsen.
SAFE OPERATION

Read the Operator’s Manual and other training
material. If the operator or technician can not read
this manual, the owner is responsible to describe
this material to the operators and technicians.
Manuals in additional languages may be available
on the Jacobsen or RansomesJacobsen website.
Read all of the instructions for this mower carefully.
Know the controls and the correct operation of the
equipment.
b
Children or persons who do not understand these
instructions must not use the mower. The local
regulations can limit the age of the operator.
c
Never use a mower near persons, including
children or animals.
d
Remember that the operator or owner is
responsible for accidents or hazards that occur to
other persons or their property.
e
Never carry passengers.
f
Never allow persons to operate or service the
mower or its attachments without correct
instructions.

Inspect the mower before you operate the mower.
Check the tire pressure, engine oil level, the
radiator coolant level and the air cleaner indicator.
Fuel is flammable. Use caution when you add the
fuel to the mower.
e
Operate the mower in daylight or in good artificial
light. Use caution when you operate the mower
during bad weather. Never operate the mower with
lightning in the area.
f
Inspect the area to select the accessories and
attachments that are needed to correctly and safely
do the job. Only use parts, accessories and
attachments approved by Jacobsen.
g
Be careful of holes in the terrain and other hazards
that are not visible.
h
Inspect the area where the equipment is operated.
Remove all objects you can find before you
operate. Be careful of obstructions above the
ground (low tree limbs, electrical wires) and also
underground obstacles (sprinklers, pipes, tree
roots). Enter a new area carefully. Look for possible
hazards.
i
Inspect the cutting system before you start the
mower. Make sure the blades are free to rotate.
When you rotate one blade, other blades can
rotate.
Do not operate equipment while tired, sick or after
you use alcohol or drugs.
PREPARATION
OPERATION
a
When you operate the mower, wear correct
clothing, slip resistant work shoes or boots, work
gloves, hard hat, safety glasses and hearing
protection. Long hair, loose clothing or jewelry can
be caught in moving parts.
a
Never operate the engine without enough
ventilation or in an enclosed area. The carbon
monoxide in the exhaust fumes can increase to
dangerous levels.
b
Do not operate the equipment with the Interlock
System disconnected or the system does not
operate correctly. Do not disconnect or prevent the
operation of any switch.
b
Never carry passengers. Keep other persons or
animals away from the mower.
c
Disengage all drives and engage the parking brake
before you start the engine. Only start the engine
with the operator in the seat. Never start the engine
with persons near the mower.
d
Keep your legs, arms and body inside the operator
compartment while the mower is in operation. Keep
your hands and feet away from the cutting units.
c
Never operate equipment that is not in correct order
or without decals, guards, shields, deflectors or
other protective devices fastened.

Do not use on the slopes greater than the safe
slope limit for the equipment.

Decrease the throttle setting before you stop the
engine.

To guard against over turning or loss of control:
r
–
Operate the mower up and down on the face of
slopes (vertically), but not across the face
(horizontally).
Do not use this equipment for uses that the mower
was not made for.
ROPS
–
Do not start or stop suddenly on slopes.
–
Decrease the speed when you operate on slopes
or when you must turn. Use caution when you
change direction. Turf condition can change the
mower stability.
a
The ROPS is a safety device. Keep the ROPS in
the vertical and locked position. Always use the
seat belt when you operate the mower. Make sure
the seat belt can be released quickly in an
emergency.
b
Only operate the mower with the ROPS in the
folded position on flat and level surfaces when
necessary. Do not operate the mower with the
ROPS in the folded position on slopes, near sharp
edges or near water. There is no roll over
protection with the ROPS in the folded position.
c
Check for clearance before you drive below
objects. Do not contact tree branches, electrical
wires or other objects with the ROPS.
d
Do not use the seat belt with the ROPS in the
folded position.
e
Inspect the ROPS for damage. Keep the ROPS
hardware fastened.
f
Do not weld, drill, change or bend the ROPS.
Replace a damaged ROPS. Do not try to correct a
damaged ROPS.
–
Use caution when you operate the mower near
drop-offs, ditches or embankments.
–
Be careful of holes in the terrain and other hazards
that are not visible.
g
When you drive in the reverse direction, look
behind you and down to make sure the path is
clear. Do not operate the cutting units when you
drive in the reverse direction.
h
Use caution when you go near corners, trees or
other objects that can prevent a clear view.
i
Equipment must meet the current regulations to be
driven on the public roads.
j
Before you move across or operate on the paths or
roads, turn off the PTO switch, lift the mowers and
travel at decreased speed. Look for traffic.
g
Do not remove the ROPS from the mower.
k
Stop the blades when the mower is on any surface
that is not grass.
h
Jacobsen must approve any changes to the
ROPS.
l
Do not release the cut grass in the direction of
persons or allow persons near the mower while in
operation.
SAFE HANDLING OF FUELS
m
Do not operate the mower with damaged guards or
without safety devices in position.
n
Do not change the engine governor setting or overspeed the engine. Never change or tamper with
adjusters that are closed with a seal for the engine
speed control.
o
Before you leave the operator compartment, for
any reason:
–
Disengage all the drives and lower attachments to
the ground.
–
Engage the parking brake.
–
Stop the engine and remove the key.
p
When you hit an object or mower starts to cause
the vibration that is not normal, inspect the mower
for damage and make repairs.

The fuel and the fuel vapors are flammable. Use
caution when you add the fuel to the mower. The
fuel vapors can cause an explosion.
b
Never use the containers that are not approved to
keep or transfer fuel.
c
Never keep the mower or fuel containers near an
open flame or any device that can cause the
ignition of fuel or fuel vapors.
d
Never fill the fuel containers inside a vehicle or on
a truck or trailer with a plastic liner. Always put the
fuel container on the ground away from your
vehicle before you fill the container.
e
Refuel the mower before you start the engine.
When the engine is in operation or while the engine
is hot, never remove the fuel cap or add fuel to the
mower.
SAFETY

The fuel nozzle must touch the rim of the fuel tank
when you add fuel to the mower. Do not use a
device to lock the fuel nozzle in the open position.
Keep your hands and feet away from parts that
move. Do not adjust the mower with the engine in
operation, unless the adjustment needs the engine
in operation.
l
Do not over fill the fuel tank. Leave at least 1 inch
(25 mm) below the filler neck.
Carefully release the pressure from components
with stored energy.
m
To prevent injury from the hot, high pressure oil,
never use your hands to check for oil leaks. Use
the paper or cardboard to find leaks.
n
The hydraulic fluid pressure can have enough
force to enter your skin. If hydraulic fluid has
entered your skin, a doctor must remove the
hydraulic fluid surgically within a few hours or
gangrene can occur.
o
When you service the hydraulic system, make sure
the hydraulic fittings, tubes and hoses are
tightened to the correct torque. Make sure the
hydraulic system is in good condition before you
start the engine.
p
Keep the mower and the engine clean.
q
Never allow persons to service the mower or its
attachments without correct instructions.
Allow the engine to become cool before storage
and always remove the ignition key.
r
When the mower is parked, put into storage or left
without an operator, lower the cutting device unless
a positive mechanical lock is used.
Keep all nuts, bolts and screws tight to make sure
the equipment is in safe condition.
s
Replace worn or damaged parts for safety.
Replace damaged or worn decals. Only use parts,
accessories and attachments approved by
Jacobsen.
t
To decrease the fire hazard, remove materials that
burn from the engine, muffler, battery tray and fuel
tank area.
u
Disconnect the battery before you weld on this
mower.
f
Refuel outdoors only and do not smoke when you
add fuel. Extinguish all types of ignition.
g
h

Always tighten the fuel tank cap and container cap
after you add fuel.
j
If the fuel spills on your clothing, change your
clothing immediately.
MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
a
Before you clean, adjust or repair this equipment,
push PTO switch to the OFF position, lower the
cutting unit to the ground, engage the parking
brake, stop the engine and remove the key.

Make sure the mower is parked on a solid and level
surface.

Never work on a mower that is lifted only by the
jack. Always use the jack stands.

When you put the mower on a trailer or put the
mower in storage, close the fuel valve. Do not keep
fuel near flames or drain the fuel inside a building.
Disconnect the battery before you service the
mower. Always disconnect the negative battery
cable before the positive battery cable. Always
connect the positive battery cable before the
negative battery cable.
Charge the battery in an area with good airflow.
The battery can release hydrogen gas that is
explosive. To prevent an explosion, keep any
device that can cause sparks or flames away from
the battery.
WHEN YOU PUT THE MOWER ON A
TRAILER
a
Be careful when you load or unload the mower on
a trailer. Trailer must be wider than the mower and
can carry the weight of the mower.
Disconnect the battery charger from the power
supply before you connect or disconnect the
battery charger to the battery. Wear protective
clothing and use insulated tools when you service
the battery.
b
Use a full-width ramp to load or unload the mower
on a trailer.
c
Use straps, chains, cables or ropes to fasten the
mower to the trailer. Both front and rear straps
must be sent down and toward sides of trailer.
Be careful and wear gloves when you check or
service the cutting unit blades. Replace any
damaged blades, do not try to correct a damaged
blade.

Make sure that all latches are correctly fastened.

The Interlock System on this mower prevents the mower from starting unless
the brake lever is engaged, mower switch is off, and traction pedal is in
Neutral. The system will stop the engine if the operator leaves the seat
without engaging the parking brake or setting the mower switch off.
NEVER operate mower unless the Interlock System is working.

Disengage all drives.
Lower all implements to the ground.
Engage parking brake.
Stop engine and remove the ignition key.
2. Keep hands, feet, and clothing away from moving parts. Wait for all
movement to stop before you clean, adjust, or service the machine.
3. Keep the area of operation clear of all bystanders and pets.
4. Never carry passengers, unless a seat is provided for them.
5. Never operate mowing equipment without the discharge deflector
securely fastened in place.
By following all instructions in this manual, you will prolong the life of your machine and maintain its maximum
efficiency. Adjustments and maintenance should always be performed by a qualified technician.
If additional information or service is needed, contact your Authorized Jacobsen Dealer, who is kept informed of the
latest methods to service this equipment, and can provide prompt and efficient service. Use of other than original or
authorized Jacobsen parts and accessories will void the warranty.

CONTROLS_______________________________________________________________
A. Throttle Lever
Used to regulate engine speed.
B. Glow Plug Switch
Used to energize the glow plugs.
M. Lift/Lower Pedal
Used to lift or lower the implements. Depress top of
pedal (M1) to lower and engage reels. Hold pedal
down, until implements are fully lowered then release
the pedal.
C. Circuit Breaker
If the gauges or ignition system fail to operate
properly, check the circuit breaker then depress cap
to reactivate the breaker.
D. Water Temperature
Indicates engine coolant temperature. Normal
operating temperature should be 185° - 195° F (85° 91° C).
Push rear of pedal (M2) pedal to raise and stop reels.
Hold pedal down until implements are fully raised,
then release pedal.
N. Traction Pedal
Used to control the direction and speed of the
machine.
Slowly depress the top of the traction pedal (N1) for
forward motion or rear pedal (N2) pedal for reverse.
The pedal will return to neutral when released.
E. Engine Oil
The indicator will light if engine oil pressure drops
below 7 psi (0.48 BAR). Stop engine immediately,
determine the cause, and correct the problem before
resuming operation.

Voltmeter
Indicates battery condition. During normal operation
meter should never be in the red area.
G. Hour Meter
Used to time maintenance intervals or mowing
operations. The meter operates only when the
ignition key is in the ON position.
H. Ignition Switch
Used to start the engine. Remove the ignition key
when the is not in use.
J. Reel / 3WD Switch
Used to engage mowers and also select two wheel
drive or three wheel drive (2WD or 3WD).
a. Pull the lever upward and forward to engage
clutch and engage 3WD mode.
b. Push switch lever down to disengage clutch and
engage 2WD mode.
K. Backlap Switch
Used for maintenance only to hone the reels and
bedknife.
Note: The switch must be in Forward Rotation for
normal operation. Always remove and store the key
after backlapping.
L. Parking Brake Light
Indicates that the parking brake is engaged. Parking
brake must be disengaged before depressing
traction pedal.
Do not depress traction pedal in either direction with
parking brake light (K) on.
P. Parking Brake Lever
Push up and forward to engage brake. Pull back and
down to disengage brake.
P. Hood Latch
Used to keep hoods closed.
Q. Left Side Hood
Used to cover the engine and radiator area. See
Section 3.3 for opening instructions.
R. Right Side Hood
Used to cover the traction pump and hydraulic filter
area. See Section 3.3 for opening instructions.
S. Console Latches
Used to secure the console cover to the steering
tower.
T.
Cooling Air Intake
Air is drawn through screen to provide cooling for the
engine. Keep the screen free from obstructions.
U. Engine Air Filter Intake
Engine intake air is drawn through screen. Keep the
area clean and the screen free from obstructions.
V. Light Switch - (Optional Kit)
Used to turn the optional lights on and off.
W. Steering Console Cover
Used to cover the steering column, relays and fuses.
See Section 3.4 for removal instructions.

CONTROLS
OPENING THE HOOD ______________________________________________________
The “Right” and “Left”, “Front” and “Rear” of the
machine are referenced from the operator’s right and
left when seated in the seat in the normal operating
position.
6. From the front of the machine, pivot hood (S)
upwards and to the left making sure the hood clears
the operator’s console then push downwards and
into the front retainer.
1. To Open the Hood, unhook latch (R) on right-front
foot rest, then lift entire left-side hood (S) upwards
to clear the steering console cover.
2. Stand in front of the machine and push the right end
of the hood (S) downwards as shown.

4.1
GENERAL ________________________________________________________________
The set-up and testing of the unit should always be
performed by a trained technician, familiar with the
operation of this equipment.
Read each instruction completely and make sure you
understand it before proceeding with the assembly. Stay
alert for potential hazards and obey all safety
precautions.
The RIGHT and LEFT, FRONT and REAR of the
machine are referenced from the operator’s seat, facing
forward.
4.2
Accessories not included with this product must be
ordered separately. See instructions provided with
accessory for installation and parts.
! CAUTION
Do not attempt to drive the unless you are familiar
with this type of equipment and know how to operate
all controls correctly.
INITIAL INSPECTION _______________________________________________________
Check:
! CAUTION
The initial inspection should be performed only when
the engine is off and all fluids are cold. Lower
implements to the ground, engage parking brake, stop
engine and remove ignition key.
1. Perform a visual inspection of the entire unit, look for
signs of wear, loose hardware, and components that
may have been damaged during transport.
2. Inspect paint and decals for damage or scratches.
Decals provide important operating and safety
information. Replace all missing or hard to read
decals.
3. All fluids must be at the full level mark with engine
cold.

a. Radiator coolant level.
b. Engine oil level.
c. Hydraulic fluid level.
4. Make sure air filter connections are tight and cover
is securely in place.
5. Check tires for proper inflation. Tires have been
over inflated for transport. Correct tire pressure
should be set:
Front: 10 - 12 psi (0.69-0.83 BAR)
Rear: 8 - 10 psi (0.55 - 0.69 BAR)
6. Check belt tension.
7. Visually check for fuel or oil leaks.
8. Inspect lube points on reels and for proper
lubrication.
WHEELS _________________________________________________________________
! WARNING
Engage parking brake before lifting to install wheels.
Make sure the work surface is solid and level. Never work
on a that is supported only by the jack. Always use jack
stands.
2. Position wheel on hub and inspect to insure full
contact between the mounting surface of wheel and
hub.
3. Finger tighten all wheel mounting hardware then
torque to 65 - 85 ft. lb. (88 - 115 Nm). Check and
retorque daily until proper torque is maintained.
1. Remove dirt, grease and oil from wheel mounting
hardware. Do not lubricate threads.

SET-UP
STEERING WHEEL ________________________________________________________
1. Remove steering wheel from its shipping position.
2. Assemble two 3/4 in. flat washers (A) and two 3/4
in. wave washers (B) to the steering shaft.

3. Position the steering wheel (C) over the shaft.
Secure with lockwasher, and jam nut (D). Torque nut
to 30 - 40 ft. lb. (41 - 51 Nm).

ROPS ___________________________________________________________________
The ROPS base weldment (AH) and seat belt have been
assembled to the mower at the factory.
1. Position the ROPS (AG) behind the mower with the
base plates forward and the decals on the left side.
2. Leave the top of the ROPS touching the ground,
raise the ends with the base plates until the first
hole aligns with the correct hole in the base
weldment (AH).
3. Install two 1/2-13 x 1-1/2 in. screws, lockwashers
and nuts (AJ) on each side of the weldment and
hand tighten.
4. Rotate the ROPS into place and install the
remaining six 1/2-13 x 1-1/2 in. screws, lockwashers
and nuts (AJ).

5. Adjust the ROPS as required so it is straight to the
base weldment and mower frame. It may be
necessary to loosen base weldment mounting
hardware and adjust base weldment so ROPS is
equally balanced left to right.

4.13 OPERATING CHECKS ______________________________________________________

4.14 Operator Back-up System _________________________________________________________________
1. The operator back-up system prevents the engine
from starting unless the parking brake is engaged,
the traction pedal is in Neutral, and the reel/3WD
switch is OFF. The system also stops the engine if
the operator leaves the seat with the reel/3WD switch
ON, traction pedal out of Neutral, or parking brake
Disengaged.
3. Refer to the chart below for each test and follow the
check (4) marks across the chart. Shut engine off
between each test.
Test 1: Represents normal starting procedure. The
operator is seated, parking brake is engaged, the
operator’s feet are off the pedals, and the reel/3WD
switch is OFF. The engine should start.
Test 2: The engine must not start if the reel/3WD
switch is ON.
! WARNING
Test 3: The engine must not start if the parking brake
is DISENGAGED.
Never operate equipment with the Interlock System
disconnected or malfunctioning. Do not disconnect or
bypass any switch.
Test 4: The engine must not start if the traction pedal
is pressed.
2. Perform each of the following tests to insure the
operator back-up system is functioning properly.
Stop the test and have the system inspected and
repaired if any of the tests fail as listed below:

TRACTION PEDAL NEUTRAL________________________________________________
1. If the mower “creeps” in either direction when the
engine is running, but the traction pedal is not
depressed, adjust spring tension so that the pedal
always returns to neutral when released.
Note: The mower may “creep” when the hydraulic oil
is cold. Operate the mower for 15 minutes before
determining if adjustment is required.
a. Lock rear nuts and adjust front nuts (N) to
maintain 3/8 in. (9 mm) of extension in spring
(O).
b. Start the engine and check for “creep” then
repeat the process if necessary.

5.10 PARKING BRAKE__________________________________________________________
1. Check linkage cables and pivots to ensure they are
operating smoothly.
2. Park the mower on a 30% slope (16.7°) near the
bottom of the hill, with the front of the mower facing
downhill. Engage the parking brake and stop the
engine.
a. The mower should stay on the hill without
creeping.
b. If the brakes do not hold, start the engine,
disengage the brake, and drive to the bottom of
the hill.
! CAUTION
DO NOT disengage the brakes with the engine off.
3. With parking brake disengaged, turn adjusting knob
in a clockwise direction, applying and releasing
brake every quarter turn, until a definite “snap over
center” action is achieved.
4. Repeat the test on the hill if required.
Note: Over adjustment causes hard lever action, but
does not increase brake efficiency.
5.11 REAR LIFT ARM ___________________________________________________________
1. Rear lift arm position is properly adjusted when the
rear mower bumpers are putting slight pressure
against the underside of the foot rests.
2. Disconnect lift chain (T) from crank and adjust ball
joint (U) as required.

1. Place mowers in the Fixed Mode (Section 5.18) and
lower the mowers onto a scale, capable of weighing
250 lb. (113 kg). The rear roller of the mower must

5.13 REEL TO BEDKNIFE _______________________________________________________

Check the reel bearings for end play or radial play. If
there is any abnormal movement of the reel, up and
down or side to side, adjust or replace components as
needed.
! CAUTION

5.15 CUTTING MODES__________________________________________________________
1. The mower may be operated in the Fixed Mode or
the Floating Mode.
2. Fixed Mode is generally used for cutting heights
greater than 1 in. (25 mm) and the mower does not
require a front roller unless the terrain is rough and
uneven.
If a front roller is required, the roller should be raised
1/4 in. (6 mm) higher than the rear roller and used for
anti-scalp purposes only.
4. To convert the mower from Fixed to Floating Mode,
remove hardware (H) from each side of the three
mower frames.
Install a front roller and store hardware (H) for future
conversion to fixed mode.
5. To convert the mower from Floating to Fixed Mode,
assemble hardware (H) as shown and remove or
raise the front roller.
3. Floating Mode is generally used for cutting heights
less than one inch (25 mm) and a front roller is
required.
If a 2-1/2 in. (63 mm) solid front roller is used, the
cutting height will range from 3/8 to 2-1/8 in. (9 to
54 mm).
If a 3 in. (76 mm) grooved front roller is used, the
cutting height will range from 3/8 to 2-1/4 in. (9 to

5.16 CUTTING HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT _____________________________________________
1. Raise and lock the lift arms in transport mode.
2. For easier access to the height adjusters on the
motor end of the front reels, Jacobsen recommends
raising the front end of the mower just a few inches
off the ground then, being careful not to damage the
hydraulic hoses, tilt the front mowers 90 degrees,
and tether the mowers together.

5.17 REMOVING THE CUTTING UNIT _____________________________________________
1. To prevent contamination of the hydraulic system, as
well as loss of oil, do not disconnect the hoses from
the motor.
! CAUTION
Disconnect lift springs before removing mowers.
2. Raise and lock the lift arms in transport mode
(Section 3.4) and disconnect the down pressure
springs.
4. Remove hardware securing motor to drive housing
and carefully pull the motor away.
5. Place motor in a clean plastic bag and cover the
opening in the gear box.
6. Remove pin and collar from center (rear) lift arm
and pull the center cutting unit away from the
mower.
7. Remove the hardware securing the front lift arms to
the cutting units, and slide the mowers out of the
way.
3. Remove transport pin then lower the lift arms to the
ground.
5.18 CUTTING HEIGHT - FIXED MODE ____________________________________________
Follow the procedures outlined in Section 5.16.
1. Reposition the rear roller adjuster.
a. For cutting heights from 3/8 to 1-3/4 in. (9 to
44 mm), use holes (M) on the mower frame, and
two holes (shown in black) of the height adjuster
(F) as shown.
b. For cutting heights greater than 1-3/4 inches
(44 mm), disassemble adjuster (F) and turn the
mounting bracket upside down; then use holes
(N) of the frame, and the two holes (shown in
black) of the adjuster (F).

7.1
GENERAL________________________________________________________________
! WARNING
Before you clean, adjust, or repair this equipment,
disengage all drives, lower implements to the ground,
engage parking brake, stop engine and remove key
from ignition switch to prevent injuries
1. Always clean the grease fitting before and after
lubricating.
2. Lubricate with grease that meets or exceeds NLGI
Grade 2 LB specifications. Apply grease with a
manual grease gun and fill slowly until grease begins
to seep out. Do not use compressed air guns.
3. Periodically apply a small amount of lithium based
grease to the seat runners.
4. For smooth operation of all levers, pivot points, and
other friction points that are not shown on the
lubrication chart apply several drops of SAE 30 oil
every 40 hours or as required.
5. Grease fittings (A - F) every 50 hours and fittings (G K) every 100 hours.

PREPARACIÓN

Para conducir el cortacésped, lleve siempre ropa
adecuada, zapatos o botas de trabajo
antideslizantes, guantes de trabajo, casco, gafas
de seguridad y protección en los oídos. El cabello
largo, la ropa suelta o las joyas pueden enredarse
en las piezas en movimiento.
b
No utilice el aparato con el sistema de interbloqueo
desconectado o el sistema no funcionará
correctamente. No desconecte ni entorpezca el
funcionamiento de ningún interruptor.
c
Nunca manipule equipo que no funcione en
perfecto estado o sin etiquetas, protectores,
deflectores o cualquier otro dispositivo de
protección bien instalado. Si trabaja con una
plataforma de descarga lateral, NO accione la
unidad de corte sin instalar primero la tolva de
descarga.
d
Inspeccione el cortacésped antes de utilizarlo.
Compruebe la presión de los neumáticos, el nivel
de aceite del motor, el nivel de refrigerante del
radiador y el depurador del aire. El combustible es
inflamable. Tenga cuidado cuando añada
combustible al cortacésped.
e
Maneje el cortacésped a la luz del día o con buena
iluminación artificial. Tenga cuidado al utilizar el
cortacésped con mal tiempo. Absténgase de
hacerlo en caso de tormenta con relámpagos.
f
Inspeccione el terreno para determinar qué
accesorios y herramientas son necesarios para
realizar el trabajo de modo apropiado y seguro.
Utilice solo piezas, accesorios y herramientas
aprobados por Jacobsen.

Tenga cuidado con los baches y otros accidentes
poco visibles del terreno.

Inspeccione el área donde va a utilizar el equipo.
Retire todos los objetos que encuentre antes de

de estacionamiento antes de encender el motor. No
arranque el motor hasta estar sentado en el

Abrochése el cinturón de seguridad siempre que
conduzca el cortacésped. Asegúrese de poder
desabrocharlo

Conduzca solo el cortacésped con el ROPS
plegado en superficies llanas y niveladas si fuera
necesario. No conduzca el cortacésped con el

Inspeccione el ROPS en busca de daños.
Mantenga los tornillos del ROPS bien apretados.

Antes de cruzar o trabajar por caminos o
molineteras, desactive el interruptor PTO, levante
el cortacésped y circule a menor velocidad. Esté
atento al tráfico.
No suelde, taladre, altere ni doble el ROPS.
Cambie el ROPS cuando esté dañado. No intente
reparar un ROPS dañado.

No desmonte el ROPS del cortacésped.

Jacobsen debe aprobar

MANIPULACIÓN SEGURA DE COMBUSTIBLES

El combustible y los vapores de combustible son
inflamables. Tenga cuidado cuando añada
combustible al cortacésped. Los vapores de
combustible pueden causar explosiones.

Nunca utilice contenedores que no sean aptos
para almacenar o transferir combustible.
c
Nunca almacene el cortacésped ni depósitos de
combustible cerca de una llama viva, ni ningún
dispositivo que pueda prender el combustible o los
gases de combustible.

No llene los contendores de combustible dentro de
un vehículo o en un remolque con un revestimiento
de plástico. Antes de llenar el contenedor,
deposítelo siempre en el suelo, lejos del vehículo.

Añada combustible antes de arrancar. Nunca quite
el tapón de combustible ni añada combustible al
cortacésped cuando el motor esté en marcha o
caliente.

Reabastezca de combustible al aire libre
únicamente y no fume mientras lo hace. Extinga
cualquier elemento combustible.

Cuando añada combustible al cortacésped, la
boquilla de combustible debe tocar el borde del
contenedor. No utilice ningún elemento para
mantener abierta la boquilla del surtidor.

No llene en exceso el depósito de combustible.
Dejar un espacio de por lo menos 25 mm por
debajo del cuello de llenado.
SEGURIDAD

Cuando haya añadido el combustible, apriete el
tapón del depósito y del contenedor.

Si se derrama combustible en la ropa, cámbiese
inmediatamente.
MANTENIMIENTO Y ALMACENAMIENTO
a
Antes de limpiar, ajustar o reparar este equipo,
desactive el interruptor PTO, baje la unidad de
corte y hasta el suelo, ponga el freno de
estacionamiento, pare el motor y quite la llave de
contacto.

Asegúrese de que el cortacésped esté aparcado
sobre una base sólida y llana.
c
Nunca trabaje en un cortacésped que sólo esté
levantado por un gato. Utilice siempre soportes
para gatos.
d
No permita nunca que nadie repare el cortacésped
o sus accesorios sin conocer las instrucciones.
e
Si piensa estacionar el cortacésped, almacenarlo o
salir de él, baje el dispositivo de corte o utilice un
bloqueo mecánico.

Cierre la válvula de combustible siempre que vaya
a transportarlo en un remolque o almacenarlo.
Aleje el combustible de las llamas y vacíe el
combustible en el interior de un edificio.

Desconecte la batería antes de reparar el
cortacésped. Desconecte siempre el cable de
batería negativo antes que el cable positivo. Y
viceversa: conecte siempre el cable de batería
positivo antes que el negativo.
Cargue la batería en una zona bien ventilada. La
batería puede liberar gas hidrógeno explosivo.
Para evitar explosiones, mantenga alejada la
batería de las llamas.
Desconecte el cargador de la batería del
suministro eléctrico antes de conectar o
desconectar el cargador a la batería. Para hacer la
puesta a punto de la batería, lleve ropa de
protección y utilice herramentas aisladas.

El líquido hidráulico puede tener la presión
suficiente para penetrar en la piel. Si le ocurre
esto, acuda a un médico para que le extraiga
quirúrgicamente el líquido hidráulico en pocas
horas. De lo contrario podría gangrenarse.
o
Cuando ponga a punto el sistema hidráulico,
asegúrese de que los sistemas de fijación, los
tubos y las mangueras hidráulicas estén apretadas
en su torque correcto. Compruebe que el sistema
hidráulico esté en buen estado antes de arrancar
el motor.

Mantenga limpios el cortacésped y el motor.

Deje que se enfríe antes de almacenar la máquina
y retire siempre la llave de contacto.

CONTROLES
A. Palanca del acelerador
Se usa para controlar la velocidad del motor.
B. Interruptor de la bujía
Se usa para activar las bujías incandescentes (ver la
Sección 4.4).
M. Pedal de elevación/descenso
se usa para levantar o bajar los implementos. Pisar la
parte superior del pedal (M1) para bajar y activar los
molinetes. Mantener el pedal pisado hasta que los
implementos estén totalmente bajados y soltar el pedal.
Pisar la parte posterior del pedal (M2) para levantar y
parar los molinetes. Mantener el pedal pisado hasta que
los implementos estén totalmente levantados, entonces
soltar el pedal.
C. Disyuntor de circuito
Si el sistema de indicadores o encendido deja de operar
correctamente, revisar el disyuntor de circuito en
apretar la tapa para reactivar el disyuntor.
D. Temperatura del agua
Indica la temperatura del refrigerante del motor. La
temperatura de operación normal debe estar entre
85 - 91° C.
N. Pedal de tracción
Se usa para controlar la dirección y acelerar la
máquina.
Pisar lentamente la parte superior del pedal de tracción
(N1) para ir hacia adelante o la parte trasera del pedal
(N2) para ir marcha atrás. El pedal volverá a punto
muerto al soltarlo.
E. Aceite del motor
El indicador se ilumina si la presión del aceite del motor
baja a menos de 48kPa. Parar el motor
inmediatamente, establecer la causa, y corregir el
problema antes de reanudar la operación.
F.
Voltímetro
Indica la condición de la batería. Durante la operación
normal el contador nunca debe estar en la zona roja.
G. Contador horario
Se usa para establecer los intervalos de mantenimiento
u operaciones de corte. El contador funciona sólo
cuando esté puesta la llave de encendido en la posición
ON (conectado).
H. Interruptor de encendido
Se usa para encender el motor. Quitar la llave de
encendido cuando no se use el tractor.
J. Interruptor de molinete / 3WD
Se usa para activar las unidades de corte y para
seleccionar la dirección a dos o tres ruedas (2WD o
3WD).

Tirar de la palanca hacia arriba y hacia delante para
activar el embrague y el modo 3WD.
b.
Bajar la palanca para desactivar el embrague y
activar el modo 2WD.
K. Interruptor de retropulido
Se usa sólo en mantenimiento para afilar los molinetes
y la cuchilla fija.
Nota: Este interruptor debe estar en giro hacia delante
para el funcionamiento normal. Retirar siempre y
guardar la llave después de realizar el retropulido.

APERTURA DEL CAPÓ _____________________________________________________
Las partes “Derecha” e “Izquierda, “Anterior” y “Posterior”
de la máquina se indican desde la derecha e izquierda
del operador cuando esté sentado en el asiento del
tractor en la posición normal de operación.
6. Desde delante de la máquina, pivotar el capó (S)
hacia arriba y a la izquierda comprobando que no
toque la consola del operador y apretar hacia abajo
y hacia el retén delantero.
1. Para abrir el capó, soltar el pestillo (R) en el
reposapiés anterior derecho y levantar el capó lateral
izquierdo completo (S) hacia arriba para salvar la
consola del operador.
2. Colocarse de pie enfrente de la máquina y apretar
el extremo derecho del capó (S) hacia abajo como
se indica.
3. Pivotar el capó a su posición totalmente abierta

4 INSTALACIóN
4.1
GENERALIDADES ________________________________________________________
La revisión y prueba de la máquina debe ser realizada
siempre por un técnico cualificado y familiarizado con el
funcionamiento de este equipo.
Lea todas las instrucciones y asegúrese de
comprenderlas antes de trabajar. Esté alerta de los
posibles peligros y siga las precauciones de seguridad.
Las partes DERECHA e IZQUIERDA, DELANTERA y
TRASERA de la máquina son citadas mirando desde el
asiento del operador hacia delante.
4.2
Los accesorios no incluidos con este producto deben
pedrise por separado. Consulte las instrucciones
proporcionadas con el accesorio para obtener
información sobre su instalación y sus piezas.
! PRECAUCIÓN
No conduzca la máquina a menos que esté
familiarizado con este tipo de equipo y sepa cómo
utilizar los controles correctamente.
REVISIÓN INICIAL _________________________________________________________
Compruebe:

La inspección inicial debe ser realizada con el motor
apagado y los líquidos fríos. Baje los accesorios al
suelo, ponga el freno de estacionamiento, pare el
motor y quite la llave de encendido.
1. Realice una revisión visual de la máquina, busque
indicios de desgaste, piezaqs sueltas y componentes
dañados durante el transporte.
2. Revise la pintura y las etiquetas en busca de daños
o arañazos. Las etiquetas ofrecen consejos
importantes sobre funcionamiento y seguridad.
Póngase en contacto con su distribuidor y cambie
las etiquetas que falten o sean ilegibles.
3. Con el motor en frío, todos los líquidos deben estar
en la marca de nivel lleno.

a. El nivel del refrigerante del radiador.
b. El nivel de aceite del motor.
c. El nivel del líquido hidráulico.
4. Asegúrese de que las conexiones del filtro de aire
estén sujetas y de que esté puesta la tapa.
5. Compruebe el aire de los neumáticos. Los
neumáticos se han inflado un poco más para el
transporte. La presión de los neumáticos debe
ajustarse a:
Delanteros: 69-83 kPa
Traseros: 55 - 69 kPa
6. Compruebe la tensión de la correa.
7. Compruebe que no haya fugas de combustible o
aceite.
8. Revise los puntos de lubricación de los molinetes y
que estén bien lubricados.
RUEDAS _________________________________________________________________
! ADVERTENCIA
Ponga el freno de estacionamiento antes de levantar
para instalar las ruedas.
Asegúrese de que la superficie de trabajo sea sólida
y esté nivelada. No trabaje nunca en una máquina
sujetada sólo por un gato. Utilice siempre soportes de
apoyo.
1. Limpie la suciedad, la grasa y el aceite de la rosca
de las piezas de montaje de la rueda. No lubrique las
ranuras.
2. Coloque la rueda en el cubo y preste atención para
que la superficie de la rueda esté totalmente en
contacto con el cubo.
3. Apriete con los dedos todos los componentes a
88 - 115 Nm. Revise y ajuste la torsión diariamente
hasta que se mantenga la torsión.

2. Monte dos arandelas planas de 3/4” (A) y dos
arandelas onduladas de 3/4” (B) en el eje de la

2. Deje que la parte superior del ROPS toque el suelo,
suba los extremos con las placas base hasta que el
primer orificio esté alineado con el orificio correcto

retirado la llave de contacto antes de instalar la

7. Aplique una capa ligera de grasa dieléctrica de
silicona en los terminales y en los extremos de los
cables para prevenir la corrosión.
8. Sujete la batería a la bandeja de la batería usando
enganches en ‘J’ (CC), enganches de seujeción

4.13 COMPROBACIONES DE FUNCIONAMIENTO ___________________________________
Después de la revisión inicial y la instalación de los
molinetes y accesorios, pruebe el funcionamiento del
tractor y los implementos.
1. Compruebe el sistema de interbloqueo. [Sección
4.14]
2. Ponga la máquina en marcha y compruebe que los
interruptores, pedales y controles funcionen
correctamente. [Sección 3.2]
3. Opere el pedal de tracción y compruebe que la
máquina funcione correctamente en ambas
direcciones. Compruebe que la máquina pare al
soltar el pedal de tracción.
4. Compruebe que la máquina no se mueva con el
motor funcionando.
5. Después de las comprobaciones, pare el tractor y
revise de nuevo para que no haya fugas hidráulicas.
4.14 SISTEMA AUXILIAR DEL OPERADOR _________________________________________________

Este sistema impide que el motor arranque a menos
que esté puesto el freno de estacionamiento, el pedal

molinete/3WD está ON (Conectado).
! ADVERTENCIA
Prueba 3: El motor no debe arrancar si el freno de
estacionamiento está OFF (Desconectado).
Nunca se debe manipular el equipo si el sistema de
seguridad del operador está desconectado o
funcionando mal. No desconecte ni derive ningún
interruptor.

Consulte el cuadro siguiente para cada una de las
pruebas y siga las marcas de comprobación (4) del
cuadro. Apague el motor entre pruebas.
Prueba 4: No se debe arrancar el motor si el pedal de
tracción no está en neutro.
Realice cada una de las siguientes comprobaciones
para verificar si el sistema de seguridad del operador
funciona correctamente. Detenga las pruebas y haga
que inspeccionen o reparen el sistema si alguno de las
pruebas enumeradas a continuación falla:
Prueba 5: Arranque el motor como de costumbre y a
continuación ON (Conectado) el interruptor de molinete/

5.1
GENERALIDADES _________________________________________________________
1.
Los ajustes y las tareas de mantenimiento deben ser
realizadas siempre por un técnico cualificado. Si no
puede realizar los ajustes correctamente, póngase en
contacto con un distribuidor autorizado Jacobsen.
2.
Cambie, no ajuste, los componentes desgastados y
dañados.
3.
El pelo largo, las joyas o la ropa suelta pueden
trabarse en las partes móviles.
! ADVERTENCIA
Para evitar lesiones, antes de ajustar, limpiar o reparar
este equipo, baje los accesorios al suelo, desconecte
todos los mandos, ponga el freno de estacionamiento,
apague el motor y quite la llave del interruptor de
encendido.
Asegúrese de que el cortacésped esté aparcado en una
superficie sólida y llana. No trabaje nunca en un
cortacésped que esté suejto sólamente por un gato.
Utilice siempre soportes para gato.
Si sólo esta subida la parte delantera o trasera del
cortacésped, ponga calzos delante y detrás de las
ruedas que no estén subidas.

! PRECAUCIÓN
Evite que las manos y los dedos queden atrapados
entre componentes en movimiento y componentes fijos.

No modifique los valores del regulador ni sobrepase la
velocidad de régimen de la máquina.
CORREA DEL VENTILADOR ________________________________________________
Inspeccione y ajuste toda correa nueva después de las
primeras diez horas de funcionamiento. Posteriormente,
ajústela cada 100 horas.
1.
Ajuste la polea del alternador para que la correa (B)
flexe entre 7 y 9 mm con un empuje de 10 kgf en el
tramo medio entre poleas.
2.
Si la tensión es incorrecta, afloje los pernos de
montaje del alternador (A) y ajuste el alternador hasta
que la tensión de la correa sea la idónea. Apriete los
pernos (A).

1.
PEDAL DE TRACCIÓN EN PUNTO MUERTO ___________________________________
Si el cortacésped va muy lento en cualquier dirección
con el motor en marcha pero sin apretar el pedal de
tracción, ajustar la tensión del muelle para que el pedal
siempre vuelva a punto muerto cuando se suelte.
Nota: El cortacésped puede ir muy lento cuando el
aceite hidráulico está muy frío. Hacer funcionar el
cortacésped durante 15 minutos antes de establecer si
es necesario un ajuste.
2.
Tener extremada precaución al hacer este ajuste ya
que las ruedas estarán elevadas del terreno y el motor
en marcha.
3.
Poner el freno de estacionamiento, parar el motor,
abrir los capós y lubricar todas las conexiones
pivotantes.
4.
Poner calzos a la rueda trasera, y colocar la parte
delantera del cortacésped sobre gatos de soportes.
5.
Aflojar todas las tuercas (N) y ajustar el muelle
posterior para colocar el brazo de tracción en punto
muerto.

Bloquear las tuercas posteriores y ajustar las
tuercas anteriores (N) para mantener 9 mm de
extensión en el muelle (O).

Arrancar el motor y comprobar si se mueve,

(Q) una vuelta completa. Apretar las tuercas (P).
IMPORTANTE: El tornillo (Q) debe parar al pedal de

5.10 FRENO DE ESTACIONAMIENTO _____________________________________________

Revisar los cables de conexión y pivotes para asegurar
que funcionan con suavidad.
2.
Estacionar el cortacésped en una cuesta de 30%
(16,7°) cerca del fondo de la cuesta, con la parte
delantera del cortacésped mirando hacia abajo.
Engranar el freno de estacionamiento y parar el motor.
a.
El cortacésped se debe sujetar en la cuesta sin
caer lentamente.
b.
Si los frenos no lo sujetan, arrancar el motor,
desengranar el freno y conducir hasta el fondo de
la cuesta.
! PRECAUCIÓN
NO quitar los frenos con el motor parado.
3.
Con el freno de estacionamiento engranado, girar el
botón de ajuste a la derecha, poniendo y quitando el
freno cada cuarto de vuelta hasta que se alcance una
acción definitiva de “clic sobre el centro”.
4.
Repetir la prueba en la cuesta en caso necesario.
Nota: Un ajuste excesivo causará una dura acción en
la palanca, pero no aumenta la eficacia de frenado.
5.11 BRAZO POSTERIOR DE ELEVACIÓN _________________________________________
1.
La posición del brazo posterior de elevación se ajusta
correctamente
cuando
los
parachoques
del
cortacésped posterior presionan ligeramente contra la
parte inferior de los reposapiés.
2.
Desconectar la cadena de elevación (T) de la manivela
y ajustar la articulación de bola (U) en caso necesario.

5.12 PRESIÓN DESCENDENTE___________________________________________________
1.
Colocar las unidades de corte en el modo Fijo (Sección
3.18) y ponerlas en una balanza que pueda pesar
113 kg. El rodillo posterior del cortacésped debe estar
sobre la balanza.

Para ajustar la presión en el cortacésped posterior
aflojar las tuercas (V) y ajustar a la presión necesaria.
3.
Para ajustar la presión en los cortacéspedes
anteriores, aflojar la tuerca (W) y ajustar el perno (X).

5.13 MOLINETE A CUCHILLA FIJA _______________________________________________
(Revisión antes del ajuste)
1.
Revisar los cojinetes del molinete en caso de holgura
longitudinal o radial. Si hay algún movimiento anormal
en el molinete, arriba o abajo o lateral, ajustar o
cambiar los componentes según necesidad.
5.
El molinete debe estar paralelo respecto a la cuchilla
fija. Si el molinete está mal ajustado, perderá su filo
prematuramente y el molinete y cuchilla fija pueden
sufrir daños graves.
6.
Las condiciones del césped también afectan el ajuste.
a.
El césped seco y ralo requerirá una mayor
separación para impedir el aumento de calor y
daños al molinete y cuchilla fija.
b.
Si se corta hierba de alta calidad con buen
contenido de humedad, la separación debe ser
más pequeña (casi nula).
! PRECAUCIÓN
Manejar el molinete con sumo cuidado para impedir que
ocurran lesiones personales y daños a los bordes de
corte.
2.
Inspeccionar las cuchillas del molinete y la cuchilla fija
para asegurar filos bien afilados, sin curvaturas ni
hendiduras.
a.
El borde anterior de las cuchillas de los molinetes
debe estar afilado, sin rebabas y sin indicios de
estar redondeado.
b.
La cuchilla fija y su soporte de respaldo deben
estar firmemente sujetos. La cuchilla fija debe estar
recta y afilada.
c.
Es necesario mantener una superficie plana de al
menos 4 mm en la cara frontal de la cuchilla fija.
Usar una lima plana corriente para reavivar la
cuchilla fija.
3.
Si el desgaste o los daños sobrepasan el punto en que
puede corregirse el molinete o la cuchilla fija mediante
el proceso de lapidado, se deben rectificar.
4.
El ajuste correcto entre el molinete y la cuchilla fija es
esencial. Se debe mantener una separación de
0,025 a 0,076 mm a lo largo de toda la longitud del
molinete y la cuchilla fija.

5.14 AJUSTE DE LA CUCHILLA FIJA _____________________________________________

Lea la Sección 3.13 antes de realizar ningún ajuste.
2.
Comience el ajuste en el extremo de ataque del
molinete y después en el extremo de cola. El extremo
de ataque de las cuchillas de los molinetes es aquel
que pasa sobre la cuchilla fija en primer lugar durante
la rotación normal de los molinetes.
3.
Aflojar la tuerca (C) 1/4 de vuelta a ambos lados de la
unidad de corte.
a.
Girar el ajustador (A) en incrementos de 1/16 a 1/8
vuelta.
b.
Introducir una galga o calzo de 0,025 mm entre la
cuchilla del molinete y la cuchilla fija. Sin girar el
molinete.
c.
Ajuste el extremo de cola del molinete con el
mismo huelgo y de la misma forma, seguidamente
vuelva a comprobar el ajuste del extremo de
ataque.

Apretar todos los accesorios y comprobar de nuevo

Una vez correctamente ajustado a la cuchilla fija, el
molinete debe girar libremente y ser capaz de
cortar un trozo de periódico en toda su longitud
sujetando el papel en un ángulo de 90° respecto de
la cuchilla fija.

5.15 MODOS DE CORTE ________________________________________________________
1. El cortacésped se puede operar en modo Fijo o
Flotante.
Instalar un rodillo delantero y guardar el accesorio
(H) para conversión futura de modo Fijo a Flotante.
2. El modo Fijo se usa generalmente para cortar
alturas superiores a 25 mm, y el cortacésped no
necesita un rodillo delantero a menos que el terreno
sea abrupto y desnivelado.
5. Para convertir la unidad de corte de modo Flotante
a Fijo, montar el accesorio (H) como se indica y
retirar o levantar el rodillo delantero.
Si se necesita un rodillo delantero, se deberá
levantar el rodillo 6 mm más alto que el rodillo
trasero y usar sólo para tareas anti despelusado.
3. El modo Flotante generalmente se usa para cortar
alturas de menos de 25 mm y se necesita un rodillo
delantero.

Si se usa un rodillo delantero sólido de 63 mm, la
altura de corte variará de 9 a 54 mm.
Si se usa un rodillo delantero acanalado de 76 mm,
la altura de corte variará de 9 a 57 mm.
4. Para cambiar el cortacésped de modo Fijo a
Flotante, retirar los accesorios (H) de cada lado de
los bastidores de las tres unidades de corte.

5.16 AJUSTE DE LA ALTURA DE CORTE __________________________________________
1. Levantar y cerrar los brazos de elevación en modo
de transporte.
2. Para un acceso más fácil a los ajustadores de
altura en el extremo del motor de los molinetes
delanteros, Jacobsen recomienda levantar el
extremo anterior del cortacésped apenas unos
centímetros del terreno y con cuidado para no
dañar los manguitos, inclinar las unidades de corte
delanteras 90 grados y atar con cuerda las
unidades de corte juntas.
3. En el cortacésped trasero (centro) retirar el pasador
en el eje y retirarlo hacia detrás.
4. Hacer siempre el ajuste de molinete a cuchilla fija
(Secciones 3.13 y 3.14) antes de hacer el ajuste
de altura de corte.

5.17 RETIRADA DE LA UNIDAD DE CORTE ________________________________________
1. Para evitar contaminación del sistema hidráulico, así
como pérdida de aceite, no desconectar los
manguitos del motor.
! PRECAUCIÓN
4. Retirar el accesorio que sujeta el motor al bastidor y
con cuidado sacar el motor.
5. Colocar el motor en una bolsa de plástico
transparente y cubrir la apertura en la caja de
cambios.
Desconectar los muelles de elevación antes de retirar
el cortacésped.
6. Retirar el pasador y el collarín del brazo de
elevación central (posterior) y sacar la unidad de
corte central del cortacésped.
2. Levantar y cerrar los brazos de elevación en el
modo de transporte (Sección 3.4) y desconectar los
muelles de reducción de presión.
7. Retirar el accesorio que sujeta los brazos
delanteros de elevación a las unidades de corte, y
sacar las unidades de corte completamente.
3. Retirar el pasador de transporte y bajar los brazos
de elevación al terreno.
5.18 ALTURA DE CORTE - MODO FIJO____________________________________________
Seguir el proceso indicado en la Sección 3.16.
1. Colocar de nuevo el ajustador del rodillo posterior.
a. Para alturas de corte de 9 a 44 mm usar los
orificios (M) en el bastidor de el cortacésped y
dos orificios (indicados en negro) del ajustador
de altura (F) como se indica.
b. Para alturas de corte superiores a 44 mm
desmontar el ajustador (F) y poner boca abajo la
abrazadera de montura; entonces usar los
orificios (N) del bastidor y dos orificios (indicados
en negro) del ajustador (F).

RESOLUCIÓN DE PROBLEMAS
6.1
GENERALIDADES _________________________________________________________
En el siguiente cuadro se enumeran los problemas más comunes que pueden ocurrir durante el arranque y funcionamiento.

7.1
GENERALIDADES _________________________________________________________
3. Periódicamente, aplique una pequeña cantidad de
grasa con base de litio a las ruedas móviles del
asiento.
! ADVERTENCIA
Antes de limpiar, ajustar o reparar
desactive todas las transmisiones, baje
grupo de herramientas de corte, ponga
estacionamiento, pare el motor y retire
contacto.

palancas, los puntos de pivote y demás puntos de

horas o según sea necesario.
5. Engrase las piezas (A-F) cada 50 horas y los
piezas (G-K) cada 100 horas.
2. Utilice grasa que cumpla o supere las
especificaciones NLGI Grado 2 LB. Aplique grasa
con una pistola manual y llene despacio hasta que
la grasa comience a subir. No utilice pistolas de aire
comprimido.
