M
éxico ha estado tradicionalmente entre los países más
visitados del mundo según la
Organización Mundial de Turismo y es
el país más visitado de las Américas,
después de EE.UU. Las atracciones
más notables son las ruinas mesoamericanas, festivales culturales, ciudades
coloniales, reservas naturales y resorts con playas. La temporada alta de
turismo en el país es diciembre y medio verano, con crestas breves antes
de Pascua y vacaciones de primavera,
cuando muchos de los resorts con playa se vuelven destinos populares de
alumnos de colegio de EE.UU.

Las costas de México poseen muchas
franjas de playas. En la Península de
Yucatán, uno de los destinos más populares con playa es la ciudad resort
de Cancún. Frente a la costa se halla
Isla Mujeres y al este está la Isla Holbox. Al sur de Cancún está la franja
llamada Riviera Maya que incluye la
ciudad Playa del Carmen y los parques
ecológicos Xcaret y Xel-Há.
A lo largo de la costa al sur de Acapulco están las playas para surfeo en
Puerto Escondido, para snórkel la playa de Puerto Ángel y las playas naturistas de Zipolite. Al norte de Acapulco
se halla la ciudad resort de Ixtapa y la
ciudad vecina de pesca de Zihuatanejo.

exico has been traditionally
among the most visited countries in the world, according
to the World Tourism Organization,
and it is the most visited country in
the Americas, after the United States.
The most notable attractions are the
Meso-American ruins, cultural festivals, colonial cities, nature reserves
and the beach resorts. The peak tourism seasons in the country are during
December and in mid-Summer, with
brief surges during the week before
Easter and Spring break, when many of
the beach resort sites become popular
destinations for college students from
the United States.
Beaches
The coastline of Mexico harbor has many
stretches of beaches. On the Yucatán peninsula, one of the most popular beach destinations is the resort town of Cancun. Just
offshore, is the beach island of Isla Mujeres,
and to the east is the Isla Holbox. To the
south of Cancun is the coastal strip called
Riviera Maya that includes the beach town
of Playa del Carmen and the ecological
parks of Xcaret and Xel-Há.
Along the coast to the south of Acapulco are the surfing beaches of Puerto
Escondido, the snorkeling, harbor beach
of Puerto Angel, and the naturist beaches
of Zipolite. To the north of Acapulco are
the resort towns of Ixtapa and the neighboring fishing town of Zihuatanejo. In the

de la exploración de la ciudad a la orilla de la playa,
Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo.

Dos veces la Naturaleza
Hay una vía ciclista que recorre el bello Parque Ecológico Aztlán. En el Parque Aventura, experimente un brote de adrenalina como
ningún otro con un puente colgante, lianas, veredas, troncos movibles y
cuerdas para trepar. Recorrer alamedas, montañas o playas en vehículo es
también una excelente opción para una visita más intensa.
La biodiversidad de Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo va más allá de su extensa vegetación. Una
de sus atracciones principales es el cocodrilo, cuyo hábitat está en las mayores lagunas de
los campos de golf, así como en los pantanos de las Playas Linda y La Ropa.
La exuberante diversidad de aves es otra atracción de la vida salvaje, con más de 320 especies registradas,
incluidas aves residentes como zanate, calandria, cuervo negro, ave de primavera, cormorán, ave frigata
y el garzón, entre otras, incluidas aves migratorias
como pelícano blanco pico de cuchara, herón azul y
orioles.

Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo
Twice the Nature
A bike path can be found that runs through the gorgeous Aztlan Ecological Park. In the Adventure Park, experience an adrenaline rush like no other with a clinging bridge, lianas, catwalks,
moving trunks and climbing ropes. A ride through the orchards, mountains or beaches on a
four-wheeler is also an excellent choice for a more intense visit.
The biodiversity of Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo goes beyond its extended vegetation. One of
its principal attractions is the crocodile, whose habitat is on the largest lagoons of the golf
courses, as well as in the swamps of Playa Linda and Playa La Ropa.
The exuberant variety of birds are just another attraction of the wildlife, with more than
320 species that have been registered, including resident birds like the Zanate, the Calandre, the Black
Crow, the Spring Bird, the Cormorant, the Frigate bird and the Garzon bird, among others, including
migrating birds, such as the spoon beak white Pelican, the Blue Heron, and the Orioles.
Considered one of the best places in the world for fishing sports, Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo is a
host to the International Sailfish Tournament, as well as the Fly All-Release Sailfish Challenge,
both being tournaments that compete at a very high level.
There are about 50 different locations for diving, where the richest coral reef banks in the American Pacific
can be appreciated. For those who look for thrills at sea level, Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo has amazing beaches to surf
where surfers from around the world come to practice. These beaches include Las Escolleras in playa El Palmar, at the
end of Las Gatas Beach, Playa Linda, La Saladita and Loma Bonita.

Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo offers the perfect scenery for love,
a place where every couple enjoys the most beautiful
sunsets, beach walks and opportunities for a romantic
honeymoon.
