La Amada Marina is an official port of entry in Cancun,
Mexico. Our staff will be happy to help you with your documentation for customs and immigration. Authorities demand to know your ETA at least 24hrs in advance, therefore
please ensure to inform us as soon as you know. At all times,
call the Puerto Capitaneria over VHF Channel 16 at your approach or departure of the marina.

Pesca Deportiva en CANCÚN
For fishing in Mexico, a special license is required and is
issued by the Mexican Ministry of Natural Resources.
The marina where you hire your trip, however, will do the
paperwork for you so check if it is included in the price of
the tour.
There are several types of fishing in Cancun, from fly
fishing to deep sea fishing, with something for everyone,
from the beginner to the experienced fishermen. The
marina has seen 9 IGFA world record catches as well
an oficial IGFA weigh station.
The most popular fish in Cancun are Sawfish, Bonito,
Snapper, Grouper, Kingfish, Roosterfish, Bonefish, Permit,
Tarpon, Snook and Sea Trout.
Blue Marlin, White Marlin, Sailfish, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo,
Barracuda, Catfish and Tuna are species found in deep
waters. At the marina, your fish can be cut into fillets and
most hotels can even cook and prepare your fish any way
you want.
NOTE: There is a certain restriction on what can you do
with your catch and when to catch it. Some are protected
by law due to the fact that they are endangered species.
