If your family wishes to have a Quinceanera at Our Lady of the Mountains, please answer the following
questions. Note that answers regarding registration and class attendance will be verified with the Parish
Office and our catechists.

for at least one year.

Our daughter has been enrolled in Religious Education in the parish for at least two
years or more, and she regularly attends her catechetical classes.

We understand that if the Quinceanera is to occur at a private Mass, that Mass will be
on a Saturday at 1 p.m. and cost $450.00.

Saturday 6 p.m. Spanish Mass, the cost is $250.00.

We have given the parish at least 30 days notice, have fulfilled all the requirements,
and wish to schedule our daughter’s Quinceanera on the following
date and time:
Flower Arrangements and Other Decorations You may have one small flower arrangement in front of the
Virgin Mary statue, one in front of the St. Joseph statue, and one in front of the altar. No other flower
arrangements, no balloons, and no other decorations will be allowed. Remember, we are in a church in front
of the Lord. Certain decorations are more appropriate for the banquet hall.
A Quinceanera marks your daughter’s transition from childhood to young womanhood. We know that
this is important to your family. But let us be clear, too often families put too much importance on a
Quinceanera to the neglect of the sacraments. They show up at the parish and expect us to provide this
privilege without being serious in their own sacramental life as Catholics, and without ever having
seriously supported our parish. Our Lady of the Mountains will not entertain the possibility of a
Quinceanera if there is no indication that a family is taking their faith seriously. We’re not doing this to
be cruel or exclusory – we’re insisting on this for the sake of our youth and our families, for the sake of
the salvation of souls. So, if you want a Quinceanera at OLM, you need to be an active parishioner here.
If that is the case, there will be no problems.

Si su familia desea tener una Misa Quinceanera en la parroquia, “Nuestra Señora de las Montañas,” por
favor responda las siguientes preguntas. Recuerde que las presuntas acerca de registración en educación
de la Fe y asistencia a clases serán verificadas por la oficina de la iglesia y todos los catequistas.

Quinceañera solo si llenamos esta forma.

Nuestra familia es miembro registrado de la parroquia “Nuestra Señora de las
Montañas” y hemos estados registrados por un mínimo de un año.

Nuestra familia toma seriamente nuestra Fe Católica, asiste a misa todas las semanas y
contribuye semanalmente en los sobres de donación de la iglesia.

Nuestra hija participa en las clases de Educación Religiosa que la parroquia ofrece y ha
estado participando en dichas clases por lo menos dos años. Uno de nuestros
catequistas podrá testificar la asistencia de su hija.

Nuestra hija está inscrita y asiste a las Living in the Light clases de Confirmación que
ofrece la parroquia. Su hija debe de estar inscrita cuando cumpla 14 años y debe de
asistir por un mínimo de un año.

Nosotros entendemos que la Quinceañera no es un sacramento y que la iglesia quiere
que nuestros hijos vivan una vida en Cristo siguiendo los sacramentos mandados
por la iglesia.

de nuestra hija.

NOTA: Si su hija ha recibido los siguientes sacramentos: Bautismo, Primera Comunión y Confirmación, ella aún
debe de estar inscrita en las clases de Educación Religiosa que ofrece la parroquia. Ella debe de estar ya registrada a
los 14 años de debe de estar asistiendo por un mínimo de un año.

Nosotros entendemos que por una Misa de quinceañera privada, la parroquia recibirá
un pago de $450.00. También entendemos que esta Misa solo se realizará los Sábados a
la 1:00PM. El dinero debe de ser pagado cuando la fecha de la misa este confirmada
por la secretaria de la parroquia y cuando revisemos que todos los requisitos hayan sido
presentados.

Nosotros entendemos que el párroco de la parroquia también puede realizar la Misa de
quinceañera durante la Misa en Español de los Sábados. Esta Misa es realizada a las
6PM todos los Sábados y tiene un costo de $250.00.

Le hemos dado a la parroquia 30 días de anticipación, hemos cumplido con todos los
requisitos necesarios y estamos listos para organizar la Quinceañera de nuestra hija en la
fecha y hora siguiente:
Arreglos Florales y Decoraciones Usted puede tener un pequeño arreglo de flores al frente de la estatua de la
Virgen y de San José, y uno en frente del altar. No otros arreglos florales o decoraciones (por ejemplo,
los globos) no se permitirán. Recuerde, estamos en una iglesia delante del Señor. Ciertas decoraciones
son más apropiadas para una sala de banquete.
La celebración de la Quinceañera marca la transición de niña a mujer de su hija. Nosotros entendemos
que para su familia esta celebración es importante, pero estemos claros, primero que nada, debemos
hacer que nuestros hijos sigan los sacramentos mandados por la iglesia. Algunas familias llegan a la
parroquia esperando que hagamos la Misa de quinceañera sin tomar en cuenta los requisitos que se
piden. La parroquia “Nuestra Señora de las Montañas” no facilitará ni ofrecerá esta Misa a familias que
no tomen su Fe Católica seriamente. No estamos haciendo esto para ser crueles, es para asegurarnos que
todas las familias y nuestros jóvenes vivan la Fe Católica como la iglesia lo manda. Si usted presenta
todos los requisitos que se piden en esta forma y es miembro de nuestra iglesia, entonces no tendremos
ningún problema en ser parte de esta celebración.
