Vinculada por tradición a la espiritualidad, el alma ha demostrado, en la infinidad de sus manifestaciones, una
mayor fortaleza en su relación con el lenguaje. Los diálogos con el alma oponen a cuerpo y a espíritu en una pugna digna la alegoría platónica del carro alado descrita en Fedón: una conflictiva conducción condicionada por la
inteligencia y el carácter.
Algo parecido ocurre con los protagonistas de esta muestra. Si bien comparten causa y esfuerzos: plasmar la
realidad a unos niveles de fidelidad apabullantes, el abismo nace en el medio que emplean: la pintura, el caso de
Salustiano, y la escultura, el de Mario Dilitz. Este antagonismo técnico erige un conjunto que, como el diálogo de
Platón, reflexiona sobre el mundo de las ideas o sobre la facultad transcendental a la que aspiran las almas.
El recuerdo es aquí base del conocimiento, pues influye en las propias obras, imbuidas en una tradición que ha
mimado el concepto del alma. La Grecia y Roma clásicas comparten con el Renacimiento su interés en las formas
del ánima; Salustiano, a su vez, exhibe su devoción por las formas del Renacimiento. Similar es la habilidad de Mario
Dilitz para transportar una sólida tradición escultórica a los contradictorios terrenos que exhiben sus obras, donde
un oso de peluche sostenido por un niño es tan buen receptáculo del espíritu como las palomas moribundas que
pendían de las manos del niño Jesús gótico.
Dialogar con el alma es algo más que una reflexión sobre la dicotomía entre materia y espíritu, también nos habla
de terrenos intermedios como la muerte y los ciclos que se cierran en beneficio de nuevas realidades.

Related by the tradition to the spirituality, the soul has shown, in plenty of its manifestations, a higher
strength with its relation with the language. The dialogues with the soul refuse body and spirit in a dignified struggle the platonic allegory of the winged chariot described in “Phaedo”: a controversial handling
conditioned by the intelligence and personality.
Something similar happens with the main characters of this exhibition. While sharing the reason and effect: capturing the reality at overwhelming fidelity levels, the gap between them it is the technique they
use: the painting, in the case of Salustiano, and the sculpture, with Mario Dilitz. This technical antagonism
creates a set that, like the dialogue of Platon, considers about the world of the ideas or about the transcendental power that the souls pursue.
The knowledge base here, it is the memory itself, because it influences directly in the artwork, inspired in
the tradition that has spoiled the concept of soul. Greek and the ancient Rome shared the renaissance
interest in the ways of the soul; Salustiano, in turn, shows his devotion for the ways of the Renaissance. Similar is the ability of Mario Dilitz to convey a strong sculptural tradition to the conflict field that its shown
in this artworks, where a teddy bear held by a child does the same function of containing the spirit as the
dying birds hanging from the child‘s hand of a Gothic piece.
The dialogue with the soul it is something more that just a reflection about the dichotomy between material and spirit, it also tells us about the gap between the death and the cycles that close in benefit of the
new realities.
