Welcome to FITUR 2014. With our slogan for this year, moving
tourism, we reflect your interest and that of the entire tourist
industry in being mutually inspired and, of course, in doing good
business.
Moving tourism is the forum at which more than 116,000
professionals come together over a period of three intensive days.
Because B2B is not impersonal. It is a matter of people getting
together with other people with a clear and shared objective: to
do business together. This event provides us with an excellent
opportunity to strengthen existing relations and to explore new
opportunities, to discover possible buyers and suppliers, and to
provide a boost for our businesses with a series of new tools.
FITUR constitutes a grand meeting-point for the tourism and travel
industry and provides the best showcase for 9,000 businesses
and destinations from 167 countries. And for Europe it provides a
bridge that connects us to the industry in Latin America.
Moving tourism reflects the dynamic nature of an industry that
is in constant movement that is constantly evolving. This year we
shall be presenting the most innovative talent within the industry
in order to offer you an insight into the latest market trends,
the most important technological developments for hotels, and
the promotional and marketing tools that are achieving the best
results for tourist destinations and tour operators. We offer you
the opportunity to be inspired by a programme of top-class events
designed to tackle some of the burning issues of today, such as the
use of apps in tourism, the management of the future, the growth
of niche segments, the influence of bloggers and sustainability as
a value-added factor for guests.
Welcome to the new tourism,
Welcome to moving tourism,
Welcome to FITUR 2014

MEETINGS
FROM PERSON TO
PERSON.
Our B2B meetings provide
an excellent opportunity for
participants to do business
with those they are truly interested in contacting. The Fourth
Hosted Buyers Workshop,
featuring some 200 guest
buyers from abroad, offers
exhibitors the opportunity to
organise a diary of tailor-made
meetings so that they can take
advantage of every last minute
of the event.
Some 2,000 meetings took
place at the last event. This
year we aim to surpass this
figure. Register now.

their know-how abroad. Since
the forum was established, it
has enjoyed growth of more
than 30%, and now includes
specialised conferences and
debates on the latest tools
relating to marketing, planning,
quality assurance, e-commerce,
the management of tourism
companies, infrastructures
and more. Don’t miss the Apps
Competition for the industry
and the presentation of the First
