Desde hace más de 20 años, Daniel Vior encuentra su inspiración, diseña y construye sus creaciones en el corazón
de Barcelona. Le gusta trabajar la plata que da forma y
ornamenta unas veces con piedras naturales y otras aplica
esmaltes con colores que él mismo crea. A partir de un
concepto, crea un diseño formal que después declina y
adapta a cada función anillo, pendientes o colgante.
Depuis plus de 20 ans, Daniel Vior puise son inspiration et
dessine et construit ses créations au coeur de Barcelone. Il
aime travailler l’Argent qu’il déforme, ornemente parfois de
pierres naturelles et/ou applique des émaux dont il crée luimême la teinte. D’un concept, il crée un dessin formel qu’il
va ensuite décliner voir adapter à chaque fonction bague,
boucle d’oreilles et pendentif.

Seit über 20 Jahren, findet Daniel Vior seine Inspiration,
entwirft und konstruiert seine Kreationen im Herzen von
Barcelona. Er liebt es, das Silber, welches Formen annimmt, zu bearbeiten und verziert manchmal mit Natursteinen und andere Male trägt er farbige Glasuren auf, welche er selbst kreiert. Als Konzept, schuf er eine formales
Design, welches er dann lehnt und an jede Funktion Ring,
Ohrringe oder Anhänger anpasst.

Estrella (Romanji). Pequeña constelación de estrellas que vibran al girar
en diferentes sentidos, dentro de un
contorno oval que contrasta con ellas.
Muy cercana a Kirigami pero con un
significado más ornamental.
Star (Romanji). A little constellation of
stars that twinkle, turning in different
directions within a contrasting oval shape. Very similar to Kirigami, but with a
different, more ornamental significance.
Signifie étoile en japonais (Romaji).
Il s’agit d’une petite constellation
d’étoiles qui vibrent en s’orientant de
différentes manières à l’intérieur d’un
contour oval contrastant avec elles.
Très proche du modèle Kirigami mais
avec une représentation plus ornementale.
Stern (Romaji). Kleine Konstellation von
Sternen, die beim Drehen in verschiedene Richtungen schwingen, in einer
ovalen Form, die mit ihnen kontrastiert.
Sehr nah zu Kirigami, aber mit einem
mehr ornamentalen Sinn.

Daniel Vior, aplica en su particular técnica
y diseño los conocimientos de la tradición
joyera. Todos los procesos están íntegramente realizados a mano en nuestro Taller de
Barcelona.
Esto permite, controlar todo el proceso y
poder garantizar durante 2 años cualquier
tipo de defecto. En cada pieza se graban dos
identificaciones: El nombre del diseñador,
Daniel Vior, que le acredita como miembro
del Colegio Oficial de Joyería de Cataluña. El
número de modelo, el cual permite la identificación de la pieza cuando sea necesario.
Daniel Vior applies his knowledge of traditional jewellery making his own particular techniques and designs. Each process is carried
out by hand in our Barcelona workshop. This
enables us to directly control the complete
process and guarantee for a period of 2 years
any type of manufacturing fault. On the back
of each piece you will find two engravings
concerning its creator and composition. One
of the plates shows the creator’s name, Daniel
Vior with the number assigned by the official
Catalan College of Jewellers, in addition to
the model number which permits us to identify the piece if needed.

son design les connaissances de la joaillerie
traditionnelle. Toutes les étapes de fabrication sont intégralement réalisées à la main
dans notre atelier de Barcelone, ce qui nous
permet de contrôler tout le processus et de
pouvoir garantir nos pièces pendant 2 ans de
tout type de défaut.
Au dos de chaque pièce, vous trouverez deux
identifications: le nom de joaillier Daniel Vior,
qui a également pour fonction d’intégrer le
numéro de poinçon du Collège Officiel des
Joailliers de Catalogne ainsi que la référence
du modèle pour nous permettre d’identifier la
pièce si nécessaire.

Kunst und Gestaltung, die Kenntnisse der
Schmucktradition an. Alle Prozesse sind
vollständig in Handarbeit in unserer Werkstatt
in Barcelona hergestellt. Dies ermöglicht, den
gesamten Prozess zu kontrollieren und für 2
Jahre jegliche Beseitigung von Mängeln zu
gewährleisten.In jedem Stück werden zwei
Identifikationen aufgezeichnet: Der Name des
Designers, Daniel Vior, der ihn als Mitglied der
Offiziellen Schule der Juweliere in Katalonien
ermächtigt: Die Modellnummer, welche die
Feststellung des Stücks ermöglicht, wenn es
notwendig ist.

Libre interpretación del ADN como
doble escalera en espiral y formada por
las diferentes combinaciones en posición y proporción de cuatro colores. El
concepto a destacar es el de código,
la recopilación de instrucciones para el
funcionamiento de un organismo y su
mensaje genético.
A free interpretation of DNA as a double spiral stair and formed by different
combinations in position and the
proportion of four colours. The concept
to highlight is the code, the compilation
of instructions for the function of an
organism and its genetic message.
Il s’agit d’une libre interprétation
de l’ADN comme double échelle en
spirale et constituée par les différentes
combinaisons en position et proportion des quatre couleurs. Le concept
à souligner est le code, la compilation
d’instructions pour le fonctionnement

GEMAS – GEMSTONES – EDELSTEINE - GEMMES
Daniel Vior utiliza gemas naturales como Amatista, Citrino,
Turmalina, Perla etc. La mayoría de ellas se tallan expresamente según precisa el diseño
de la joya. Excepcionalmente y
así consta en el certificado que
lleva cada pieza, utiliza como
material artificial, cristal Murano, Ópalo y Coral, éste último
por convicción ecológica.
Daniel Vior utilizes natural
gemstones such as amethyst,
citrine, tourmaline, pearl, etc.,
the majority of them being
specifically cut according to the
jewel’s design. Occasionally,
and as indicated in each jewel’s
certificate, Daniel Vior uses artificial materials such as Murano
Crystals, synthetic opal, and for
ecological reasons, reconstituted coral.

To pass through something other than
yourself (we, being permeable), means

Encreuat en Catalan signifie croisement. Croiser quelque chose de nous, nous qui sommes
perméables signifie se laisser imprégner par
une nuance ou provoquer un avant et un
après. Les choses que nous croisons sur le
chemin sont aussi sujettes à un facteur beau
mais aussi terrible qu’est le hasard.
Etwas anderes zu dir übertragen (wir sind
durchlässig), bedeutet, sich von einem
Schatten imprägnieren zu lassen oder

Estas piezas quieren sugerir el tratamiento metódico i sensible del papel
en el «kirigami» así como en otras
manifestaciones de la cultura nipona,
como el cuidado en el plegado de envoltorios o las prendas. Más allá de la
estética es una conexión íntima con los
materiales y su comportamiento.
These pieces suggest the sensitive,
methodical treatment of paper in the
“kirigami” such as in other manifestations of Nipponese culture, as the care
taken in the folding of textile wraps
or clothing. Beyond aesthetics is an
intimate connection with materials and
their behaviour.
Ces pièces veulent suggérer le traitement méthodique et sensible du papier
dans le “Kirigami” que l’on retrouve
aussi dans d’autres manifestations de
la culture nippone comme la délicatesse du pliage des emballages ou des
vêtements. Au-delà de l’esthétique, il
s’agit de la connexion intime avec les
matériaux et leur comportement.

esta forma curvada que acerca por
atracción un pequeño punto hacia
otro mayor. Interesante es que gancho
(como muchas otras palabras) comparte significado con anzuelo y atractivo.
Ancyla en Latin fait référence au
crochet, à une ancre. Ces pièces
représentent cette forme incurvée qui
rapproche par attraction une petit point
vers un autre plus grand. Le crochet
signifie aussi bien hameçon que attirant, attractif.

curved form that by attraction draws

que agita las algas, dándoles un movimiento espeso y suave que parece ser
voluntad propia de éstas.

The meaning of life inspires
Daniel Vior’s designs. He focuses
himself on nature with an almost
scientific point of view, deriving
his concepts from plant life, and
malacology. He explores their
significance and possibilities.
The structures of his pieces
are metaphors of desires and
feelings related to actions such
as distancing, attraction, growth,
flexibility, touching, and diluting.
Daniel Vior est fasciné par tout
ce qui signifie la vie. Il se penche
sur la nature, le monde végétal,
la malacologie avec un regard
quasi scientifique d’où il extrait
des patrons. Il en explore leurs
significations et leurs possibilités. Ses pièces structurales sont
des métaphores de désirs et de
sentiments liées à des postures
comme s’attirer, se rapprocher,
se concevoir, se croître, se flexibiliser, se toucher, se recueillir ou
bien encore se diluer.

Calendario lunar relacionado con la agricultura.
Cuentan algunos agricultores que es conveniente
sembrar las plantas de desarrollo aéreo y subterráneo respectivamente en Luna llena y Luna negra.
Esto es lo que representan estas piezas: 4 fases
lunares que orbitan alrededor de un motivo en altorelieve de flores, raíces y bulbos. Influencias más
obvias, entre otras son las mareas etc... pero lo
que pretendo recordar es que su mera contemplación puede ejercer sobre nosotros la emoción
subyugante que tienen las cosas cambiantes y
solo aparentemente cercanas.

motif en haut-relief de fleurs, racines et bulbes.
Des influences plus évidentes, entre autres sont
les marées, etc. mais ce que je prétends rappeler
ici est que sa seule contemplation peut exercer
sur nous l’émotion subjuguante qu’ont les choses
changeantes.
The Lunar calendar in relation to agriculture. Some
farmers say that it’s effective to sow seeds by the
developments in the sky and earth respectively at
the full moon and new moon. This is what these
pieces represent: 4 phases of the moon that orbit
a motif of a high-relief of flowers, roots, and bulbs.
The most obvious influences, among others, are
the tides, etc.... but what I attempt to remind one of
is what its mere contemplation can exert on us, the
subjugating emotion that makes things change and
are only apparently nearby.
Mondkalender mit Bezug auf die Landwirtschaft.
Einige Bauern erzählen, dass es wünschenswert ist,
die Pflanzen der Luft- und Untergrundentwicklung
bei Vollmond und Schwarzmond zu säen. Dies ist
es, was diese Stücke darstellen: 4 Mondphasen,
die ein Motiv in Hochrelief von Blumen, Wurzeln
und Knollen umkreisen. Deutlichere Einflüsse, unter
anderem sind die Gezeiten usw. …aber was ich
erinnern möchte, ist, dass seine bloße Betrachtung
auf uns eine überwältigende Emotion ausüben
kann, welche die veränderten und nur scheinbar
nahen Dinge haben.

En este conjunto resumo un motivo aparecido
en Lunario, puesto que por si solo tiene identidad. Pulsión es una fuerza natural que provoca
una acción, en este caso dos direcciones de
crecimiento opuestas: fototropismo hacia arriba
atrapando aire y Sol y hacia abajo, geotropismo, perseverante y fuerte. Un fantástico baile
de fitohormonas (que según detecta el vegetal
en el entorno) viajan hacia los extremos que van
a crecer.
Dans cette parure, je reprends un motif apparu
dans « Lunario » puisque que seul il possède
une identité en soi. « Pulsions » est une force
naturelle qui provoque une action, dans ce cas
deux sens de croissance opposés: phototropisme vers le haut attrapant l’air et le soleil et vers
le bas, géotropisme, persévérant et fort. Une
danse fantastique de phytohormones (détectant
au fur et à mesure le végétal autour de lui) voyagent vers les extrêmes qui vont croître.
In this set I continue with a motif that appeared
in «Lunari», so placed that it may have identity.
Pulsion is a natural force that provokes an
action, in this case two opposed directions
of growth: phototropism to upwards trapping
air and sun, and downwards, geotropism,
persevering and strong. A fantastical dance of
phytohormones (that accordingly detect the
surrounding vegetable life) travelling toward the
extremes that will grow.
In dieser Einheit fasse ich ein Motiv zusammen,
welches in Lunario erschienen ist, da es von
sich selbst aus eine Identität hat. Pulsion ist
eine natürliche Kraft, die eine Aktion auslöst, in
diesem Fall zwei entgegengesetzte Richtungen
des Wachstums: Phototropismus nach oben,
Einfangen von Luft und Sonne und nach unten,
Geotropismus, ausdauernd und stark. Ein fantastischer Tanz von Phytohormonen (wie es das
Gemüse in der Umgebung entdeckt), die zu den
Enden reisen, welche wachsen werden.

La force intérieure qui le pousse en

Rama en castellano. Durante el cambio de
estaciones de una rama nacerán hojas flor y
fruto, estas piezas representan este ciclo. Están
construidas con un hilo sin empalmes, sin principio ni fin, de donde nacen formas vegetales
inicialmente simples, a las que siguen otras de
simetría bilateral y radial para después volver al
principio. Al mismo tiempo los colores cambian
su temperatura como las estaciones del año.
Estas piezas hablan de todo lo que es cíclico y
continuo.
Branche en français. Pendant le changement de
saison, des feuilles -fleur et -fruit naîtront d’une
branche, ces pièces représentent ce cycle. Elles
sont construites avec un fil sans embranchement, sans début ni fin, d’où naissent des forms
végétales tout d’abord simples, puis suivent
d’autres de symétrie bilatérale puis radiale avant
de revenir au début. Au même moment, les
couleurs changent de température comme les
saisons de l’année. Ces pièces parlent de tout
ce qui est cyclique et continu.
Branch in English. During the change of seasons, leaves, flowers and fruit are born from
a branch, these pieces represent this cycle.
They are constructed with a thread without
joints, without beginning or end, from where
initially simple plant forms are born, from
which follow others of bilateral and radial
symmetry to return to the beginning. At the
same time the colours change their temperature as the seasons of the year. These pieces
speak of all that is cyclical and constant.
Rama auf Spanisch. Während der Wechsel
der Jahreszeiten einer Niederlassung, werden
Blüten und Früchte geboren; diese Stücke
stellen diesen Zyklus dar. Sie sind mit einem
Faden ohne Fugen gebaut, ohne Anfang und
Ende, wo zunächst einfache Pflanzenformen
geboren werden, denen andere mit bilateraler und radialer Symmetrie folgen, um dann
zurück an den Anfang zu kehren. Zur gleichen
Zeit verändern die Farben ihre Temperatur,
wie die Jahreszeiten. Diese Stücke sprechen
von allem, was zyklisch und stetig ist.

tiene la dirección u orientación de los
vectores. Estos finalizan su trayecto
en diferentes puntos espaciales y son
definidos por una línea que salta de
uno a otro. Creando así una forma de
volumen escultórico.
Les protagonistes de ces pièces sont
le sens ou l’orientation des vecteurs.
Ces derniers finalisent leur trajectoire
en différents points spatiaux et sont
defines par une ligne qui saute de l’un
à l’autre créant ainsi une forme de
volumen sculptural.
The protagonism of these pieces is
in its direction and orientation of the
vectors. They end their trajectory at different spatial points and are defined by
a line that leaps from one to the other,
thus creating a volumous, sculptural
form.
Die Geltung dieser Stücke, hat die Richtung oder Orientierung der Vektoren.
Diese enden ihren Weg an verschiedenen räumlichen Punkten und sind definiert durch eine Linie, die von einer zur
anderen springt. Wodurch eine Form
von skulpturalem Volumen erstellt wird.

En estas piezas el modulo del vector, su longitud y un segundo elemento perpendicular
a este, permite (entre muchas otras posibles
relaciones) la de sujetar y así solucionar con
una intención constructiva la montura de una
gema facetada. Una composición sesgada
y dinámica que me permite orientar la gema
según convenga, inclinada lateralmente en
los pendientes o hacia arriba en el colgante.
In these pieces the module of the vector, its
length and a second element perpendicular
to it, permits (among many other possible
relations) it to hold and so to resolve with a
constructive intention in the mounting of a faceted gem. A slanting and dynamic composition that permits me to orient the gemstone
such as is appropriate, laterally inclined in the
earrings or towards the top in the pendant.
Dans ces pièces, le module du vecteur, sa
longitude et un second élément perpendiculaire à celui-ci, permet (entre beaucoup
d’autres possibles relations) de soutenir et
ainsi de solutionner avec une intention constructive la monture d’une gemme à facettes.
Une composition oblique et dynamique qui
me permet d’orienter la gemme selon le besoin, inclinée latéralement pour les boucles
d’oreilles ou vers le haut pour le pendentif.
In diesen Stücken, ermöglicht das VektorModul, seine Länge und ein zweites senkrecht-Element, (unter vielen anderen möglichen
Beziehungen), die zu halten und somit mit
einer konstruktiven Absicht, die facettierte
Edelstein-Halterung zu lösen. Eine schräge
und dynamische Komposition, die es erlaubt,
das Juwel nach Bedarf zu orientieren, seitlich
geneigt auf den Ohrringen oder nach oben
auf dem Anhänger.

Tubos en castellano. Este conjunto parte de la
idea de que anillo, colgante (por la valía) y boca
(engaste gemas) comparten la misma figura
geométrica : el tubo o anilla. La expresión la
busco explorando interiores y exteriores con
una textura lineal que representa a su superficie
de revolución. Alterando alturas y dirección de
estas líneas se crean diferentes matices que
junto a la composición se dirige a subrayar
la naturaleza contradictoria del tubo : vacío y
corpóreo.
Tubes en français. Cette parure part de l’idée
que la bague, le pendentif (par l’oeillet) et
l’orifice du sertissage de la gemme partagent la
même forme géométrique : le tube ou l’anneau.
Je recherche cette expression en explorant les
intérieurs et extérieurs avec une texture linéale
qui représente sa superficie de révolution.
Différentes nuances se créent en modifiant
les hauteurs et les directions de ces lignes. La
composition vise ainsi à souligner la nature
contradictoire du tube : le vide et le corporel.
Tubes in English. In this collection, part of
the idea of the ring, pendant (by the eye) and
the stone setting share the same geometric
figure : the tubes or rings. I seek to explore
the expression of interiors and exteriors with a
lineal texture that demonstrates at its surface,
a revolution. Altering heights and the direction
of the lines creates different nuances together
with the composition serves to highlight the
contradictory nature of the tube : both empty
and corporeal.
Tubos auf Spanisch. Diese Vereinigung ist
Teil der Idee, dass der Ring, Anhänger (nach
Wert) und Mund (Edelsteine-Fassung), sich die
gleiche geometrische Form teilen: das Rohr
oder Ring. Den Ausdruck suche ich im Inneren
und Äußeren, mit einer linearen Struktur, die die
Rotationsfläche darstellt. Verändern von Höhen
und Richtung dieser Linien, sind mit verschiedenen Nuancen angelegt, das sich zusammen
mit der Zusammensetzung an die widersprüchliche Natur des Rohres richtet: Vakuum und
körperlich.

Es aérea, una estructura abierta que dialoga
con el espacio, tanto por su construcción
con módulos calados como por la unión con
el mínimo contacto entre ellos para enfatizar
la idea de difuminar lo interno con lo externo.
Opuntia es una familia de cactáceas cuyos
tallos/hojas se unen de la misma forma, con
la idea de buscar el contacto con la luz y el
aire.
Opuntia est aérienne, il s’agit d’une structure
ouverte qui dialogue avec l’espace aussi
bien dans la construction des modules que
dans l’union par effleurement entre eux pour
souligner l’idée d’estomper l’interne avec
l’externe. Opuntia est une famille de cactus
dont les feuilles/tiges se joignent de la même
manière pour chercher le contact avec la
lumière et l’air.
Opuntia is air, an open structure which interacts with space, as much in its openwork
modular construction as in the union between them with minimum contact to emphasise the idea of blending the internal with the
external. Opuntia is a family of cacti whose
stems/ leaves join in the same way with the
idea of seeking contact with light and air.
Es ist Luft, eine offene Struktur, die mit dem
Raum zusammenwirkt, sowohl für deren Bau
mit durchbrochenen Modulen, wie mit der
Bindung mit minimalem Kontakt zwischen
ihnen, um die Idee der Unschärfe des Inneren mit dem Äußeren zu betonen. Opuntia
ist eine Familie von Kakteen, deren Stiele /
Blätter sich in der gleichen Weise verbinden,
mit der Idee, den Kontakt mit dem Licht und
der Luft zu suchen.

Bucle es un espiral como forma que “despliega
“ que se abre al espacio, salta sobre la piel y
proyecta en el exterior de una de sus curvas,
una forma cóncava, casi floral.
Loop (in English) is a spiral as a form that
“unfurls”, that opens itself to space, leaps off
the skin and projects itself outward by one of
its curves, a concave form, almost floral.
Boucle (en français) est une spirale en tant que
forme qui “se déplie”, s’ouvre à l’espace, fait un
bond sur la peau et projette à l’extérieur d’une
de ses courbes une forme concave, presque
florale.
Schleife ist eine Spirale als Form, die «sich
entfaltet», die in den Raum mündet, auf die
Haut springt und projiziert außerhalb einer
seiner Ecken , eine konkave fast florale Form.

en la ”Escola d’Arts i Oficis de Barcelona y
se incorpora en el taller de alta joyería dirigido por Joan Ysalgué durante 7 años, donde
se forma como orfebre y diseñador.
• 1990 se establece como Joyero independiente empezando a diseñar sus propias
creaciones y piezas únicas; adquiriendo así
su propio lenguaje mediante nuevas técnicas
artesanales.
• 1996 Funda con Sergi Cardona Daniel Vior
SL. y presenta su primera Colección con
carácter único y exclusivo.
• 2011 Premiado por la prensa internacional
en IJL in Londres por su Colección Alula
Imbricata.
• 2012 Premiado en Paris (Eclat de Mode/
Bijhorca) por su creatividad y dominio
artesanal.
• 1983 Daniel étudie la joaillerie à «L’escola
d’Arts i Oficis» de Barcelone et intègre
l’atelier de haute joaillerie dirigé par M. Joan
Ysalgue pendant sept années où il est formé
