We the parishioners of Saint Rose of Lima
following the Paschal Mystery of Jesus Christ with
unity in faith and fellowship, extend love and
hospitality to all of our diverse and multicultural
community.
We seek opportunities for all to grow in the
Eucharist and God’s Word by sharing our time,
talent and treasure with humility, gratitude and
respect.

The Intermountain Catholic Quota for October 2016 to
September 2017 is 700 subscribers. The individual subscription
rate this year will remain the same: $25.00. The amount the
parish will pay this for subscriptions is $17,500. Please send your
$25.00 to Saint Rose or place it in the Collection Basket.
Do you know that Catholics contribute about half as much to
their parish as Protestants contribute to their congregations (1.1 to
1.2 percent of household income for Catholics, 2.2 to 2.5 percent
for Protestants). To put this in context, if the typical Catholic
household contributed at the same rate as the typical Protestant
household U.S. Catholic parishes would receive an additional $8
billion in contributions annually. Or to put it another way, each
parish would see its annual contributions double.
It is a beautiful moment when you are able to respond to the
Lord to serve in ministry. We are asking all of you to pray and
reflect to see if you have a call to serve as a Lector, Eucharistic
Minister, Choir member, Cantor, Ministry of Hospitality and Altar
Server. We are in need of your service in our Liturgies. If you are
called, please contact the parish office. Thank you for those who
are currently serving in these ministries.
You are invited to the Kermes on Sunday, September 18th.
We will be selling delicious food, drinks, desserts, etc. Come and
have some fun with your family and celebrate as a community.
The proceeds will go to Special Projects. If you can help, please

There will be a second collection this weekend for the
Diocesan Priests’ Retirement. Please be generous.

Mass Intentions
La cuota del periódico Intermountain Católica de octubre 2016 a
septiembre 2017 es de 700 suscriptores. El costo de suscripción
individual para este año sigue siendo el mismo: $25,00. La cantidad

Due to the addition of the Life Teen Mass at 6pm on
Sundays, we now have weekend Masses available at that
time. If you would like to request a Mass, please come to
the office and request the 6pm Mass.

We are now accepting Mass Intentions for 2017. If you are
interested in having a Mass Intention on a special day, please
come to the office and fill out a form. All Mass Intentions must
be paid at the time of request. A Mass Intention is ten dollars
per Mass. Masses are filled on a first come; first served basis,
so if you want that special day come early. Weekends are
usually the first Masses to go. Just a reminder that if we have a
funeral scheduled the day you requested, you will be contacted
and your Mass Intention will be rescheduled. If you have any

Final/Late Registrations for Christian Formation
Monday, September 26th and Tuesday, September 27th,
from 5:00pm to 7:00pm in the Education Center
Parents and Guardians, Christian Formation will have final/late
registrations for families that still have not enrolled for the year
2016-2017 of Christian formation.
Registration Fees and Requirements:
 Tuition is $40.00 per student and $95.00 for three or more
children. Payment is due at the time of registration. There
is a $5.00 fee per student added at Final/late registrations,
unless you are new to the parish. If there is difficulties
with payment contact Kristie Ruth, Director, at 801-9289437 or email her at [email protected].
 Copy of Birth Certificate
 Copies of all Sacramental Certificates
 Preschool students must be 4 years old by September
14th to enroll.
 Students preparing for a Sacrament, who have attended
classes last year at another parish, are required to have a
letter from that parish stating their attendance, grade and
course of study.
 YOU MUST BE A REGISTERED PARISHONER AT SAINT ROSE
OF LIMA TO ENROLL YOUR CHILDREN IN CHRISTIAN
FORMATION. To register in the parish please come to the
office, Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm. If you are
unavailable during parish office hours, special
arrangements can be made after hours, contact the office

The 2016 Diocesan Development Drive funds
ministries in the areas of charity,
evangelization and worship
The DDD impacts each parishioner and visitor to our
Diocese every week through the area of worship. In
addition to the ongoing formation of the Priests and
Deacons currently serving in our Diocese, the DDD funds
education for our future Priests and Deacons. The DDD
also supports three college Campus Newman Centers.
Please take some time to prayerfully consider your gift to
the 2016 DDD. Remember no gift is too small.

Bethlehem Wood Carving will be here at Saint Rose of Lima the
weekend of October 1st and 2nd to sell olive wood carvings from
the Holy Land. Proceeds from the sale will be used to support
more than 600 Catholic and Christian families in Bethlehem. Your
support is greatly needed.
