The inhabitants of Ecuador now enjoy a much better quality of
life: this is the result of the economic stability that has prevailed in this

Another competitive advantage within Ecuador is a substantial improvement in internet connectivity. According to
the AKAMAI report, "State of the Internet 2013". Ecuador was the country in all of the Americas that had most
increased its average Internet speed. Thanks to this improvement, Chile and Ecuador are now the countries with the
highest average internet speed in South America, with 2.9 megabytes per second.
In support of improved competitiveness, Ecuador ranks
sixth in public service efficiency at a regional level, as
evidenced in a report compiled by the Inter-American
Development Bank.

The Organic Code for Production, Trade and Investment
(COPCI) offers investors tax stability, equal rights for domestic and
foreign investors, and a range of tax incentives.

TAX STABILITY FOR UP TO 30 YEARS
Within the Organic Code of Production, Trade and Investment, an investment contract is established as a
legal instrument that recognizes the rights of both domestic and foreign investors and bestows tax stability. It also
allows for the exemption from certain import tariffs.

There are 80+ areas around Ecuador where investment in tourism
projects may benefit from an additional deduction of 100% over 5
years when calculating income tax.

100% depreciation will be deductible, in addition to the depreciation and amortization corresponding to the acquisition of
machinery, equipment and technology for the implementation of
systems for cleaner production,
energy generation from renewable sources (solar, wind or
similar) or reduction of the environmental impact of productive
activity, and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.

SHARES IN RESULTS
Currently, the Ministry of Tourism is implementing the QUALITY OF TOURISM MANAGEMENT SYSTEM which
is focused on improving both quality and service in tourist facilities for accommodation, food and beverage, and
other operations across all priority tourist destinations in Ecuador. The Tourism Quality Program covers training and
consultancy phases, as well as assessment, and culminates in the award of the "Q" Quality Seal.
Public investment in this sector has generated increased international arrivals in Ecuador. In 2014, the
country experienced growth of 14%, well above the world average (5%) and the regional average (8%). In addition,
the country has won dozens of awards which guarantee that Ecuador is now perceived as a tourist destination of
excellence.

The excellent network of air terminals, including 4 international airports in Quito, Guayaquil, Latacunga and
