WARNING!
This product contains portland cement and silica sand. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Do not take internally. Crystalline
silica sand may cause serious lung problems. Avoid breathing dust and wear a respirator in dusty areas. Contact with the
dry powder or wet unhardened concrete, mortar, cement or cement mixtures can cause skin irritation, severe chemical burns
or serious eye damage. The wearing of waterproof gloves, tight fitting safety goggles and protective clothing that prevents
the product from coming in contact with the skin is strongly recommended. If you have to stand in wet product, wear
waterproof boots high enough to keep product from getting inside. If working on hand and knees, wear kneepads. Indirect
contact through clothing can be as serious as direct contact. Promptly, rinse out wet product from clothing.

CURADO:

CURING:
In hot weather lightly spray the wall with water as needed to promote
adequate curing. In cold weather adequately cover and keep from freezing for
a minimum of 24 hours. Protect from rain for 24 hours. Do not apply if
temperature will fall below 40°F (40C) within 24 hours.
How Much Do You Need?
COLOCACION:
• Humedezca pero no sature las superficies de mampostería antes de
aplicar el Cemento de Adhesión de Superficie.
• Aplique el material de 3.2 a 12.7 mm (1/8 a 1/2 pulgada) de grueso.
• Para aplicaciones de apilado en seco, el material se tiene que aplicar a

PLACEMENT:
• Dampen but do not saturate masonry surfaces before applying Surface
Bonding Cement.
• Apply material between 1/8” and 1/2” (3.2 and 12.7 mm) thick.
• For dry stack applications, material must be applied to both sides of the
block wall.
MIXING:
• Empty contents into a mortar box, wheelbarrow or mechanical mixer.
• Add approximately 5 - 6 qts (4.7 - 5.7 L) of water per bag or enough to
achieve a
workable mix.
• The easiest means of mixing is with a 1/2” (12.7 mm) drill and a mixing
paddle.
Add most of the water to a 5 gal (18.9 L) pail. Add material and mix for 2
minutes. Add additional water as needed and remix.
• Can be colored by adding a SAKRETE Cement Color while mixing. Add
amount needed to achieve desired color.
Note: Can be painted using an alkali resistant lime proof paint usually within 7
days provided the masonry is dry.
Existing Masonry Wall:
• Clean surface as directed above.
• Fill existing voids in block wall with Surface Bonding Cement prior to
coating the wall.
Dry Stack Block Walls:
• When laying a new block wall first construct a sound footing below the
frost line.
• Level the first course of block in a full bed of mortar. Stack the
remaining courses without mortar from corners in a running bond
pattern. Butt the blocks together. Fill gaps larger than 1/4” (6.4 mm) with
Surface Bonding Cement prior to coating the wall.
