elcome to the World2day London sightseeing tour. Now you all have
a map of London and here is the route of our tour.
We’re in Trafalgar Square – can you find that on your map? It’s in the
centre, where it says ‘Start here’. Now first we go along the Strand and
then along Fleet Street to St Paul’s Cathedral. We stop here so you can
take photos of this beautiful church. Then we continue to the Monument –
that’s the Monument to the Great Fire of London of 1666. Then we go
across the river – we go over London Bridge – and we drive along Tooley
Street. We go back across the river over Tower Bridge. Tower Bridge
sometimes opens so that big ships can go under it. Then we turn left and
stop at the Tower of London and you can take photos.
Back on the bus, we continue along the river all the way to Big Ben
and the Houses of Parliament. Then we turn into Victoria Street and go
past St James’s Park to Buckingham Palace, where the Queen lives. We
stop at the palace so you can take some more photos. We get back on the
bus again and we drive up to Hyde Park Corner, and then along Piccadilly
to Piccadilly Circus. And finally we’re back in Trafalgar Square!
