cultural y agente de diseño, generando propuestas y soluciones integrales a través
del desarrollo de nuevos productos en colaboración con maestros artesanos del
Estado de Yucatán. El rescate y la tradición rigen el diseño de nuevos objetos artesanales, con la firme intención de beneficiar y promover la identidad cultural Maya.

Comenta Áurea Sian-ka’an directora y creadora de ÁUREA, es maravilloso estar en
escena internacional con la colección MATERIA, a través de Territorio Creativo &
DWM durante WANTED DESIGN 2015, compartiendo espacio con propuestas de alto
valor en el diseño mexicano.
Es emocionante presentar durante WANTED DESIGN NYC la colección exclusiva de
M A T E R I A una serie de objetos artesanales como maceteros y objetos utilitarios
de uso doméstico entre platos, vasos, cubiertos, cuchillos. Realizado por artesanos
en la comunidad de Dzytiá, Mérida, Yucatán, México. Es una representación del
trabajo y valor cultural de artesanos.

ÁUREA is an original brand of the south-east of Mexico that has scene as cultural
manager and agent of design, generating offers and integral solutions across the
development of new products in collaboration with main craftsmen of the State of
Yucatan. The rescue and the tradition govern the design of new handcrafted objects,
with the firm intention of being of benefit and promoting the cultural Mayan identity.

It is exciting the exclusive collection of M A TT E R presents during WANTED DESIGN
NYC a series of handcrafted objects like flower-pot stands and utilitarian objects of
domestic use between plates, glasses, cutlery, knives. Realized by craftsmen in
Dzytiá's community, Merida, Yucatan, Mexico. It is a representation of the work and
craftsmen's cultural value.
