Por más de 40 años, CONTACT Crisis Line ha
servido a la comunidad proveyéndole líneas telefónicas
confidenciales 24 horas al día, todos los días del año,
servicios de emergencia, transporte inmediato en
situaciones críticas, proveyendo información de otros
recursos y recomendaciones de ayuda a otras agencias en

ha atendido una población muy importante—los

Cindy Oliver, Dallas Police Department First
Offender Program, and Vanita Halliburton, Grant
Halliburton Foundation.

KEYNOTE SPEAKER
CINDY OLIVER is a Licensed
Professional Counselor, Licensed Chemical
Dependency Counselor and Certified Criminal
Justice Specialist. Her experience in working with
juveniles and their families spans three decades.
Currently, she is director of the Dallas Police
Department’s First Offender Program, a program
she has been involved with for 25 years. This
presentation explores the challenges of raising
youth today and how changes in our society have
affected the value development of today’s youth, in turn affecting their
decision-making skills.
La señora Cindy Oliver es una Consejera Licenciada Profesional y Especialista
de Justicia Criminal. Es Directora del Programa de Primera Ofensa en el
Departamento de Policia de Dallas. Ella cubrirá el tema de Los Desafíos de

VANITA HALLIBURTON is
president of the Grant Halliburton Foundation
and serves on the Texas Suicide Prevention
Council. She is also a QPR Institute-certified
instructor offering workshops on recognizing signs
of suicidal risk and is president of Halliburton
Communications, a creative consulting firm. The
mission of the Grant Halliburton Foundation is to
raise awareness and understanding of adolescent
mental health issues. Her presentation addresses
the opportunities we have to strengthen mental health resources for
today’s teens.

de Tejas en la Prevención de Suicidio. La señora Vanita Halliburton tiene
