María Langarita. Ph.D. architect from ETSA Madrid, she is a lecturer in Architectural Projects at
ETSA Madrid.
Víctor Navarro. Ph.D. architect from ETSA Marid, he is a lecturer in Architectural Projects at the
Universidad Europea de Madrid and he has been lecturer at Harvard University.
They work together since 2005 in the architecture office Langarita-Navarro.
They have been recognized with the Special Mention of Mies van der Rohe Award 2013 and with
several other prizes as XII BEAU Prize, FAD Prize 2012, ar+d Award for Emerging Architecture
2012, AD Heineken Award to the New Talents 2013 or COAM Prize 2013.
Their work has been selected to be exhibited in different places and events, including the 6th
Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism, the XI Biennale di Venezia in 2008. They have been the
directors of XII BEAU - UIMP summer course and they were selected to be Jurors for the Santo
Domingo Bienale.

The ‘Serrería’ vs ‘La Cosa’ is a form of coexistence, a dialectical combat mode,
which has allowed going beyond the conventional concept of rehabilitation and
inhabit the remaining gap between the two opponents. It is a coexistence of
opposites which has understood this intermediate region not as a finished product

Roadside restaurants are a rare species within the increasingly prestigious restaurant world. Such places superpose their condition as an infrastructure adapted to

The project represents a call for reflection on the concepts of restoration and preservation, converting the water tower into the memory and record of a place and a
moment, the Noah’s Ark rescuing the flora found in the Matadero surroundings.

The scattered and trans-European city that the mountainous coast of Alicante has
become, houses a heterogeneous population that is drawn to the sun, the sea, the
temperate climate, the convenient public services and the leafy greenery. The promise of relaxing and hedonistic experiences captivates both seasonal tourists and
long-term residents who see their expectations fulfilled amongst jasmine and bougainvilleas. The project draws from this context and is designed to meet the demands
of multiple families in the summertime and as a haven for retirees the rest of the year.

TRINKHALLE para espacio trapèzio es una colección de objetos de carácter nómada que desplegados construyen un chiringuito mutante para espacios interiores.
Los objetos son el resultado de una suma de soluciones de mercado y tecnologías
baratas. Se han utilizado estanterías industriales, sillas de playa, toldos de lona
modelo Amazonas y malla electrosoldada para permitir modificar, mediante sencillos sistemas de ensamblaje, su configuración en el tiempo. La estrategia Trinkhalle, como contrapunto al ejercicio de diseño coherente del mercado de San Antón,
podría describirse como una agrupación heterogénea de tropicalismo germano.
