Dear Parish Family; or members, a endees, guests and seekers,
The Lord be with you!
On the last day of classes in the Seminary, before our summer vaca on began, we
would always get the same lecture: "Gentleman remember, there is no VACATION
from your VOCATION." That is an important lesson I had to learn. Life in the Seminary was VERY structured. There were SET TIMES for: Morning & Evening Pray, Daily
Mass, Our 3 meals and of course our Classes. At home we didn't have that same kind
of structure. I found it hard at first to develop a healthy SUMMER ROUTINE, that
kept me focused on my Voca on. It was temp ng, to take a Vaca on from my Vocaon.
School is FINALLY OVER! So I want to pass on to you, the SAME WISDOM that was
given to me before our summer break from the Seminary: "REMEMBER THERE IS NO
VACATION FROM YOUR VOCATION." This year, vaca on me is cut short because
school starts earlier this year, all the more reason to be on the lookout for an excuse
to take a Vaca on from your Voca on!!!! Church, we are meant to be Trinity Centered & Discipleship Driven: 24/7.
Are you planning a trip over a weekend? Be sure to include Sunday Eucharist in your
planning. Here is a great Website to find a Church where you will be Vaca oning:

When visi ng family & friends you might not have a car. That can be a dilemma, especially if your rela ves or friends, no longer go to Church. Why not let them know
well in advance that you would like to be able to go to Sunday Eucharist and see if
they could find you transporta on? Who knows they might just go along with you!!!!
When you are away from Saint Clement please bring back a BULLETIN from the
Church or Churches you have visited.
Some of the fondest memories I have of my families vaca ons, are finding a Church
on a Sunday and ALL 9 of us cramming into a pew. I was amazed that there were
Catholics everywhere, in whatever state we visited. I learned at an early age just
how UNIVERSAL was our faith. I don't think I would have learned that lesson, if my
parents had taken a Vaca on from their Voca on.
The Bishop is turned 75 in May. He was mandated to turn in a le er of resigna on
on that day. HOWEVER, the Pope does not have to accept it right away. Here are the
possible scenarios:
a. The Pope can just leave the Bishop in place un l a replacement is named.
b. He could accept the resigna on and then appoint the Bishop to be an
“Administrator”. The big difference with the le er a, is that an administrator
CAN NOT do a lot of things a si ng Bishop can do.
c. He can accept the resigna on, the Bishop goes into Re rement and either the
Pope or the College of Consultors in our Diocese, chooses an administrator. Our
Bishop thinks op on A will be chosen and that the WHOLE process could take up
to a YEAR!!!! PLEASE BE IN PRAYER FOR OUR NEW BISHOP.

¡El Señor este con Vosotros!
El ul mo día de clases en el Seminario, antes del comienzo de las vacaciones del
verano, recibíamos siempre la misma recomendación: “Caballeros, recuerden, no
existen VACACIONES para su VOCACIÓN.” Esta es una lección importante que tuve
que aprender. La vida en el Seminario era MUY estricta. Había que CUMPLIR un HORARIO: Oración por la mañana y tarde, Misa diaria, nuestras tres comidas y por supuesto nuestras clases. En la casa no tuvimos esa clase de disciplina. Encontré muy
di cil al principio desarrollar una RUTINA DE VERANO saludable que me mantuviera enfocado en mi vocación. Era muy tentador tomar vacaciones de mi Vocación.
¡La escuela ha TERMINADO FINALMENTE! Y quiero transmi rles a Ustedes la MISMA SABIDURIA que me dieron a mi antes de nuestro descanso de verano del Seminario: “RECUERDEN, NO EXISTEN VACACIONES PARA SU VOCACIÓN.” Este año, el
empo de vacaciones va a ser más corto, ya que la escuela empieza antes y con
más razón estaremos buscando una excusa para tomar un descanso de nuestra Vocación. Iglesia, estamos predes nados a estar Centrados en la Trinidad y Conducidos por el Discipulado: 24/7.
¿Está pensando en viajar durante el fin de semana? Asegúrese de incluir la Eucarisa del Domingo en su plan. Esta es una dirección de Internet donde puede encontrar una Iglesia cuando salga de viaje:

Cuando visiten a familia y amigos, puede ser que usted no disponga de un automóvil. Esto puede ser un dilema, especialmente si sus familiares o amigos ya no van a

banco. Me sorprendía ver a católicos en todas partes, en cualquier estado que visitáramos. Aprendí de muy joven lo UNIVERSAL que era nuestra fe. Creo que no habría aprendido esa lección, si mis padres hubieran tomado vacaciones de su Vocación.
El Obispo cumplió 75 años este mayo. Él debió haber mandado una carta con su
renuncia ese mismo día. SIN EMBARGO, el Papa no ene que aceptar su renuncia
enseguida. Aquí están los posibles escenarios:
a. El Papa puede dejar al Obispo en su lugar hasta que sea nombrado el sucesor.
b. Puede aceptar la renuncia y pedir al Obispo que sea el “Administrador”. La gran
diferencia con la letra a, es que el obispo como “administrador” NO PUEDE hacer muchas cosas.
c. El Papa puede aceptar la renuncia, el Obispo puede re rarse, y bien el Papa o el
Colegio de Consultores en nuestra Diócesis, escoge un administrador. ¡Nuestro
Obispo piensa que va a ser la opción a. la elegida y que el proceso ENTERO puede tomar hasta un AÑO! ¡POR FAVOR MANTENGA EN SUS ORACIONES A

St. Clement Life Founda on program. With you, we can fulfill the mission as
a church-—to teach the faith to the Youth and help support the parents/
guardians as they hand on the faith to their families.
Being a catechist is demanding. The me and energy it takes to be a good
catechist is great, but the rewards are many. In some ways, we take on the
role of the Sower (Parable of the Sower) as we share our beliefs plan ng
