PARISH INFORMATION
BAPTISM: The Sacrament of Baptism is celebrated at 1:30 PM on the Second Sunday of the month in Spanish and the
Third Sunday of the month in English. Parents need to contact the rectory to set up an appointment to make arrangements
for the baptism of their child and register for the baptismal class which is held the First Tuesday of each month in Spanish
and the Second Tuesday of each month in English. Baptisms in Vietnamese can be arranged by contacting Fr. Vincent.
EL BAUTISMO: El sacramento del Bautismo es celebrado a la 1:30 PM cada Segundo domingo del mes en español y
cada tercer domingo del mes en Inglés. Los padres del niño/a deben pedir una cita con la rectoría para ponerse de acuerdo
con requisitos para el bautismo y también inscribirse para la charla pre bautismal que se lleva acabo cada primer martes
del mes en español y cada segundo martes del mes en ingles. Los bautismos en vietnamita pueden ser arreglados con el
Padre Vicente.

A WORD FROM OUR PASTOR
Dear Friends,
Today we say good-bye to our Parochial Vicar, Fr. Tom
Viviano. We are sad that Father Tom is leaving us after
only three years. We ask why his stay cannot be longer
and why is he assigned to an office job, since his gifts are
so well suited for ministry in a parish? We may not
understand or want to accept this change, but we need to
believe that the Holy Spirit does work in mysterious
ways. And as many know, I do know what I am talking
about.
You see, I had to leave my first assignment as
Parochial Vicar after only three years in the parish as
well. Yes, I was the Assistant at Saints Philip and James,
in Exton, for three wonderful years when I received a call
from the Office for Clergy telling me that I was assigned
to be the Assistant Director of CYO (Catholic Youth
Organization) for the Archdiocese. I politely told the
priest who called me that I was not interested in this
position and want to remain in the parish for two more
years. There was no way that I wanted to leave this
vibrant parish with so many good and faithful people to go
to the Pastoral Center and sit behind a desk all day. But
Father Graf politely told me that I had no choice in this
matter, to pack my bags, and report to my new
assignment in two weeks’ time. And with great sadness I
left my first parish to spend the next 15 years in one of
most dynamic and exhilarating assignments any priest
could ask for. The Holy Spirit was right all along. Why
did I question? Why was I so upset?
And that has been my prayer for Father Viviano, that
he trusts the same Holy Spirit that has guided me here to
Holy Innocents. And for you and me as well, that we trust
in the Spirit and in God’s providence for this young
priest. Yes friends, our Father in heaven does know what
is best for his children, for our Church. And now God is
using this gifted priest for the good of our Archbishop and
the entire Archdiocese. And I am confident that years
from now Father Viviano and all of us will look back in
awe and as my mother often reminded me, we will see
how “God has written straight with crooked lines.”
On behalf of the entire parish, I extend my sincere
gratitude to Father Viviano for serving the people of Holy
Innocents with such great love. During these years since
the merger of our five parishes, Father Tom has done so
much to foster the unity we pray for each week in our
Mission Statement, “that all may be one.” Thank you
Father Tom for caring so much, for working so hard, and
for sharing your love for the Lord with each and every one
of us. Please don’t forget us because we will not forget
you.

Divine Mercy 6-Week Bible Study (English)
Consider joining our 6-week summer Bible Study in English centered on
the theme of Divine Mercy! Deacon Matthew Brody, our new
transitional deacon, will facilitate this group of prayer and study of the
Sacred Scripture. In this Extraordinary Jubilee Year of Mercy, Pope Francis
has invited each of us to be “Merciful like the Father.” Take some time
this summer to read the Word of God and meditate together with others
on the theme of Mercy in the Bible. The Introductory Session will take
place on Monday, June 20 from 7:00-8:00 PM in the Rectory Meeting

Saint Bede the Venerable Church, located in Holland,

all to its inaugural Mass and festival to honor St. Pio Pietrelcina,
better known as "Padre Pio," on Saturday and Sunday June 25 and
26. The two-day event will be highlighted by a Saturday Vigil
Mass and Sunday 12:30pm Mass celebrated by Fr. Pio Mandato,
F.M.H.J., followed by a street procession with a statue of Padre Pio

Bautismo de los Niños
Si quiere bautizar a un niño, hay que
llamar a la rectoría al 215-743-2600
para hacer una cita con un sacerdote
para arreglar los detalles del bautismo.
No se puede ir a la clase pre-bautismal sin
haberse reunido con el sacerdote primero.
También, para bautizar en los Santos
Inocentes hay que estar registrado aquí. Se puede hacer una
cita para registrarse, o se puede registrar cuando venga
para hablar del bautismo.
Hoy decimos adiós a nuestro Vicario Parroquial, P. Tomas
Viviano. Estamos tristes de que el Padre Tomas nos deja
después de sólo tres años. Nos preguntamos por qué su
estancia no puede ser más largo y por qué está asignado a
un trabajo de oficina, ya que sus dones son tan bien
adaptado para el ministerio en una parroquia? Es posible
que no comprendemos o no queremos aceptar este cambio,
pero tenemos que creer que el Espíritu Santo hace el
trabajo de manera misteriosa. Y como muchos saben, yo sé
lo que estoy hablando.
Usted ve, yo tenía que dejar mi primer destino como
Vicario Parroquial después de sólo tres años en la parroquia
también. Sí, yo era el asistente en Santos Philip and James,
en Exton, durante tres años maravillosos, cuando recibí una
llamada de la Oficina para el Clero diciéndome que me
asignaron a ser el Director Adjunto de CYO (Organización
Católica de Jóvenes) de la Arquidiócesis . Yo amablemente
le dije al sacerdote que me llamó que no estaba interesado
en esta posición y quiero permanecer en la parroquia por
dos años más. No había manera de que quería dejar esta
vibrante parroquia con tanta gente buena y fiel a ir al Centro
Pastoral y sentarme detrás de un escritorio todo el día. Pero
el Padre Graf me dijo amablemente que no tuve otra opción
en esta materia, de hacer la maleta, e informar a mi nueva
asignación dentro de dos semanas. Y con gran tristeza me
fui de mi primera parroquia que pasar los próximos 15 años
en una de las asignaciones dinámicas y emocionantes
cualquier sacerdote podía pedir. El Espíritu Santo estaba en
lo cierto. ¿Por qué me pregunta? ¿Por qué estaba tan
molesto?
Y eso ha sido mi oración por el Padre Viviano, que confía en
el mismo Espíritu Santo que me ha guiado aquí para Santos
Inocentes. Y para ustedes y para mí, así, que confiamos en
el Espíritu y en la providencia de Dios para este joven cura.
Sí amigos, nuestro Padre en el cielo sabe lo que es mejor
para sus hijos, para nuestra Iglesia. Y ahora Dios está
usando este sacerdote dotado para el bien de nuestro
Arzobispo y toda la Arquidiócesis. Y estoy seguro de que los
años a partir de ahora Padre Viviano y todos nosotros
mirarán hacia atrás con asombro y como mi madre a
menudo me recordó, vamos a ver cómo "Dios ha escrito
derecho con líneas torcidas."
En nombre de toda la parroquia, extiendo mi más sincero
agradecimiento al P. Viviano para servir al pueblo de Santos
Inocentes con un amor tan grande. Durante estos años
desde la fusión de las cinco parroquias, el Padre Tomas ha
hecho tanto para fomentar la unión oramos por cada
semana en nuestra Declaración de Misión, "que todos sean
uno." Gracias Padre Tomas de cuidar tanto, para trabajar
tan difícil, y por compartir su amor por el Señor con todos y
cada uno de nosotros. Por favor, no se olviden de nosotros,
porque no vamos a olvidarte.
Finalmente, cuando está escogiendo a sus padrinos, tenga en
cuenta que la responsabilidad principal de un padrino es dar
buen ejemplo al ahijado de lo que es vivir bien la fe
católica. Por eso, para ser padrino, hay que haber recibido
todos los sacramentos (bautismo, confirmación, comunión),
estar registrado y participando en la iglesia (en esta
parroquia u otra), y si es casado, ser casado por la Iglesia.

BÀI ĐỌC I: Dcr 12, 10-11
"Họ sẽ nhìn thấy Đấng họ đã đâm thâu qua".
Trích sách Tiên tri Dacaria.
Đây Chúa phán: "Ta sẽ gieo rắc tinh thần ân phúc
và cầu nguyện trên nhà Đavít và trên dân cư
Giêrusalem. Họ sẽ ngước mắt nhìn Ta, Đấng họ đã
đâm thâu qua: họ sẽ khóc than người, như khóc
than con một, họ sẽ thương tiếc người như quen
thương tiếc đứa con đầu lòng đã chết.
Trong ngày đó, tại Giêrusalem sẽ có tiếng khóc than
to lớn, như khóc than Ađadremmon trong cánh đồng
Magêđđô". Đó là lời Chúa.
ĐÁP CA: Tv 62, 2. 3-4. 5-6. 8-9
Đáp: Lạy Chúa là Thiên Chúa con, linh hồn
con khát khao Chúa (c. 2b).
1) Ôi lạy Chúa, Chúa là Thiên Chúa của con, con
thao thức chạy kiếm Ngài. Linh hồn con khát khao,
thể xác con mong đợi Chúa con, như đất héo
khô, khát mong mà không gặp nước!
2) Con cũng mong được chiêm ngưỡng thiên
nhan ở thánh đài, để nhìn thấy quyền năng và
vinh quang của Chúa. Vì ân tình của Ngài đáng
chuộng hơn mạng sống, miệng con sẽ xướng
ca ngợi khen Ngài.
3) Con sẽ chúc tụng Ngài như thế trọn đời con,
con sẽ giơ tay kêu cầu danh Chúa. Hồn con
được no thoả dường như bởi mỹ vị cao lương,
và miệng con ca ngợi Chúa với cặp môi hoan
hỉ.
4) Vì Chúa đã ra tay trợ phù con, để con được
hoan hỉ núp trong bóng cánh của Ngài. Linh
hồn con bám thân vào Chúa, và tay hữu Chúa
nâng đỡ người con.
BÀI ĐỌC II: Gl 3, 26-29
"Anh em đã chịu phép rửa tội, nên anh
em đã mặc lấy Đức Kitô".

Anh em thân mến, tất cả anh em đều là con cái
Thiên Chúa nhờ tin vào Đức Giêsu Kitô. Vì
chưng tất cả anh em đã chịu phép rửa tội trong
Đức Kitô, nên anh em đã mặc lấy Đức Kitô.
Nay không còn phân biệt người Do-thái và Hylạp, người nô lệ và tự do, người nam và người
nữ: vì tất cả anh em là một trong Đức Giêsu
Kitô. Nhưng nếu anh em thuộc về Đức Kitô, thì
anh em là dòng dõi Abraham, những kẻ thừa
tự như lời đã hứa. Đó là lời Chúa.

Alleluia, alleluia! - Chúa phán: "Nếu ai yêu mến
Thầy, thì sẽ giữ lời Thầy, và Cha Thầy sẽ yêu
mến người ấy, và Chúng Ta sẽ đến và ở trong
người ấy". - Alleluia.
