Antequera es sinónimo de riqueza histórica. Data del año
2.500 a. c. el conjunto dolménico mejor conservado de

Antequera has a rich historical legacy. The best-preserved dolmen
complex in Europe dates back to the year 2500 B.C., an authentic world
heritage site. There are innumerable archeological discoveries which,
together with the Fortress and over fifty other historical buildings, round
out this legacy.

El Parque Natural de El Torcal, un laberinto natural de
caprichosas formaciones calizas representa el más hermoso
paisaje "kárstico" de Europa. El Desfiladero de los Gaitanes, es
una cerrada garganta de cientos de metros de profundidad. La
Laguna de Fuente de Piedra, la más grande laguna salada del
Sur de Europa, alberga una de las mayores colonias de
flamencos del Mediterráneo. Antequera, además, cuenta con instalaciones deportivas de gran nivel como
una piscina climatizada de competición, un pabellón cubierto o la Pista de Atletismo Cubierta, así como la
Plaza de Toros del siglo XIX. Entre todas las festividades sobresale la apasionante Semana Santa, por su
antigüedad y por la belleza de las esculturas religiosas. La fiesta de la Primavera se une en mayo a la Feria
Ganadera. En Agosto, se celebra su Real Feria.
The Torcal Natural Park, a labyrinth of limestone formations, represents the most beautiful karstic landscape in Europe. The
Gaitanes Gorge is a gorge hundreds of metres deep. The Fuente de Piedra Lagoon, the largest saltwater lagoon in the south of
Europe, is home to one of the largest colonies of flamingoes in the Mediterranean. Antequera also has a 19th century bullring.
Amongst the town’s festivals, Holy Week is outstanding because of the antiquity and beauty of the religious sculptures. The
Spring Fair is held along with the Livestock Fair in May, while the Royal Fair is celebrated in August.

de Piedra est le plus grand lac salé au sud de l'Europe Il héberge l'une des plus grandes colonies de flamants roses en
Méditerranée. Antequera a des arènes datant du XIXè siècle. Parmi ses festivités, l'on peu citer la Semaine Sainte, exceptionelle
pour son ancienneté et la beauté des sculptures religieuses. La fête du printemps, en mai, s'ajoute au Salon du bétail. C'est en
août qu'à lieu la Real Feria (La Foire par excellence de la ville).

Geschichte und Schönheit der religiösen Skulpturen. Das Frühlingsfest fällt mit dem Viehmarkt zusammen. Im August wird der
königliche Jahrmarkt zelebriert.

reconstruido en 1691-1708.

course. All of its fairways have been carefully
designed by double-Ryder Cup winner José María
Cañizares with impressive views.
Care and respect for nature are fundamental to this
golf course. In 2010 it hosted the World University
Golf Championship.
