The Remembrance Tree will be placed on the Altar during the month of November to remember and honor our loved ones who have
died. The tree will be on the Altar beginning November 1st. Cards and holders will be there for you to write the names of those who
have died. The Mass in observance of the Day of the Dead will be on Wednesday, November 6th at 4:00pm after the event entitled

I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and
earth, of all things visible and invisible. I believe in one Lord
Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father
before all ages. God from God, Light from Light, true God
from true God, begotten, not made, consubstantial with the
Father; through him all things were made; For us men and for
our salvation he came down from heaven,
(all bow) and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin
Mary, and became man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate, he suffered
death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in
accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is
seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in
glory to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have
no end. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father
and the Son is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the
prophets. I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church.
I confess one baptism for the forgiveness of sins and I look
forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world

In the third apparition to the shepherd children at Fatima, in July,1917, Our Lady promised to return at some future date to ask for
the consecration of Russia to her immaculate heart, assuring the children that this consecration, performed by the Pope and all the
bishops of the world, would bring about the conversion of Russia and that a period of peace would be granted to the world.
Our Lady made her request to Lucia, the surviving visionary and by then a Carmelite nun, in 1929. This was twelve yers after the
apparitions and twelve years after the Russian Revolution. It was the time at which Josef Stalin was consolidating his power over
the Soviet Union, and it was immediately ahead of the terrible years of the 1930s, when the Stalinist purges led to the deaths of
many millions of Russians.
Pius XI was pope at that time. Sr. Lucia transmitted our Lady’s message to the bishop of Fatima-Leira, who sent it on the Pius XI.
The pope’s response was surprising. He ignored the request. The purges started in Russia the following year. Adolf Hitler came to
power in Germany in 1933. The Japanese invaded Manchuria. As Our Lady had predicted, the world drifted toward war—
beginning in Spain. The Spanish Civil War broke out in 1936.
The bishop of Fatima appealed to Pius XI a second time, a third time, and almost desperately, in 1937, a fourth time. The consecration, Our Lady had promised, would not only convert Russia, it would avert a terrible new war. Yet the consecration was not
made, and in 1939, the world went to war.

Communion to the Homebound

If for any reason you are unable to attend Mass and would like to
receive the Host at home, please call the Parish Office. / Si por
alguna razón no puede asistir a Misa y quiere recibir la Comunión
en casa, por favor llame a la Oficina Parroquial.
MARRIAGES / MATRIMONIOS:
Please contact the Parish Office six months in advance.

BAPTISMS / BAUTISMOS:
Parents must complete the Baptism Registration form
available in the parish office at least two months in advance
and attend the required baptism class. You must provide a
copy of the child’s birth certificate. Godparents may also
attend the same class or attend one at their local parish and
obtain a completion certificate. When choosing your child’s
Godparents, please bear in mind that they must be baptized,
confirmed, receive communion regularly in the Church and, if
married, they must be married in the Catholic Church. There
can be NO exceptions to these rules.
Los padres tienen que llenar la forma de Registro para
Bautizos disponible en la oficina parroquial por lo menos dos
meses antes y asistir a la clase de
bautismos requerida. Usted tiene que traer una copia del
certificado de nacimiento del bebé. Los Padrinos también
tienen que asistir a la misma clase o asistir a una en la
parroquia local de ellos y obtener un
certificado al terminar la clase. Cuando escoja a los Padrinos
de su bebé, por favor tenga en mente que ellos tienen que
